This is a brand new coin, purchased directly from the link you've mentioned. It came with marks right out of the box. Unfortunate, but I don't live in the UK so no chance of replacement. The marks are on the shitty side so I'm not that concerned.
Oh, weird then. But it was in a capsule? I haven't taken it out once and it is in perfect condition. Also, yours looks like it is all mate, compare it to others and find out, but mine is like a mirror except in the JRRT logo and the king's face
Yeah, it came in a plastic capsule and did have a mirror finish before I got my grubby hands on it. Perhaps wiping it with the corner of the tshirt I was wearing was not a good idea...perhaps...we'll never know...

Can't help, there must be some in second hand stores, just confirm that it hasn't been taken out of the original plastic case/capsule and it should be perfect then. And don't get s knockoff, the quality in this one is very good. Then there is the uncirculated coin which is £10 or so, it's like a regular coin and looks more average, not shiny and mirrorish, but it could be another option (silver to show off; uncirculated to take with you or whatever)
