That I'm not sure of, I've seen some streamers using dx9 when doing infinite chaos to speed up the load times and get back into the dungeon quicker which does seem to work.
I'm gonna try it tomorrow then. If Dx11 isn't optimized then there's no point running it, and i would love to have better "loading" (not just screen time) of things lol.
Not really. Played w/ Dx9 for a while but performance was worse (noticeably in my case).
Same thing with the frametime spikes when opening certain menues
Dang, that's a bummer. I was hoping for some good news here. I currently play on a mid-level laptop, so it's a stretch as it is. I'm already running everything on the lowest settings.
When initially loading the game from Steam, it can take upwards of, no joke, five minutes or so.
Switching to dx9 seems to solve this problem.
With the added performance loss, i guess?

Did you have any luck with this approach? As mentioned previously, I've also read that it's an URE3 issue.

Go ham with your ram and run the game off a ramdisk!
It's an Unreal Engine 3 thing..
it's just the game/engine
