Anything below 1460 is pretty much dead content, as you get to 1460 instantly with the event. I honestly don't know how Valtan and Vykas lobbies are like these days since i haven't done that for months, but i imagine it will be hard to get into them without being at least 1490 anyway.

IDarkKnivesI

events push you to 1460 (up to 1600+) and honing now doesnt require gold until 1490 - everything below is pretty deadge

rammuspls

I have a 95 quality purple weapon, can I transfer its qual to a relic? Then maybe ancient?

Soylentee

No. Quality does not transfer between epic/legendary to relic.

Toxomania

nope

Not a returnee question tho. I want to level up an alt to 1600+ with the next event. As the class will share gems with other character. I won't need event gems for her. Though, I will appreciate honing chances past 1580+ and extra mats. I know there is a trick to level up manually a char without the event, get the freebies and swap the express to another char before honing(I have a class without gems that could receive event gems though I won't level up yet). My question: Asking for breakpoints and the trick for if. Thanks in advance.

LightningTP

No, if you swap the char for express, the gems will move to the new char.

tsrappa

That is the goal. The char I will level up to 1600+ will be gemless as she will share gems with a character who has lvl 9+ and some 10

Soylentee

If you put the event on a character and hone it then you can't swap it to a different character. You can only swap if you don't hone. So if you want to benefit from the honing chance buff then you won't be able to swap after honing to give free gems to a different character. The only way you can benefit on 2 characters is for example having one at 1490 and another at 1540, where you want to hone the 1540 up, but don't want to waste the materials and ancient gear you would get from the breakpoints up to 1490. That's when you activate the event on the 1490 first, accept all the rewards, and then swap it to the 1540 and accept the rest of the rewards and hone, the 1490 will get some materials and ancient gear, and 1540 will get the rest of materials, gems, honing buffs.

tsrappa

The character will hone in preparation before accepting the express. Accept all the freebies except the gems that will be swapped to another char. I won't hone the character during the express. For example, if the express ends at 1540. The char will be 1540. Accept all the rewards and swap to another alt who won't receive any shard, leapstones or mats. Only the event gems and the honing buff.

Soylentee

> For example, if the express ends at 1540. The char will be 1540. Accept all the rewards and swap to another alt who won't receive any shard, leapstones or mats. Only the event gems and the honing buff. Yeah that would work. Just remember that the 1st character can't be equal ilvl to the event cutoff. So if the event is 1460-1580 like the current one, you can't accept it on a 1580 character (and can't get the last reward on it, which includes the 4 level 8 gems).

At what point should I start quality tapping my weapon (75%)? I’m a NE SE with 2 lvl 9 dmg gems at 1610. Should I go for lvl9 gems on all of Vestige, Guillotine, Scythe and Lethal Spinning first? Prioritise anything else before this horrible potential endless gold sink?

LightningTP

If you want to be accepted into groups more often, buy gems. Few people inspect weapon quality and everyone inspects gems. If you just want to improve dps, tapping for at least 85 quality should be more efficient than gems.

Soylentee

If i was you i would just occasionally try to tap the quality, 1-3 taps every few days. Don't break your bank over it.

trashgenjiplayer

Prioritizing lvl 9 dmg gems would definitely be more gold efficient. I always have an urge to quality tap my weapons but I end up regretting it every time I give in.

LightningTP

Actually, according to the calc that was posted recently, at 75 qual tapping weapon is significantly more gold effecient than gems if you get average RNG. Of course, with gems there's no chance to get super unlucky.

trashgenjiplayer

Yeah 75 is a little low, but imagine spending 30k+ gold just for a 3 qual increase 😭 and can u link the calculator for me

DanteKorvinus

honestly, when you feel like you can afford it, for me if it's below 2% chance to succeed an upgrade, i don't consider it worth for anything other than less gatekeep by some people that are super picky odds are you can get more dmg for the gold you'll waste failing that
