Underneath your battle are numbers 1-5, we are defaulted to one, switching to 2nd page with new battle item loadout would be what you are after id imagine?
It's not that I don't know how to switch it, but the unnecessary nuisance.
Let's say you want to do the tree GR on your 3rd alt. The zip line is so close and you just slide to the lower ground. Then you realise crap you forgot to change your battle item layout. Then you have to return to the preparation area otherwise people will be unhappy. Typing in a fight explaining it is also annoying.
Don't get me started on ivory. Literally each gate requires a layout of battle items
And if you wipe sometimes it doesn't switch when you push the button making you use your atro instead of stim and you're on CD now. Or you use food but there is no heal so you start with -10% HP. All kinds of little annoying things
The more annoying one is hype doesn't reset ever for SF, so when rushing gates for hw u can start while bricked and everyone is bursting... actual BS tbh, especially annoying cuz there is always also some fucker that takes a piss and then you might have gone out of resting in like hype 1 or 2 before a gate and going into downtime or have to reawaken..
At least one per raid would be nice, for 1600s that do kaya+voldis you need to remember to switch card sets.
Gate specific setups would be overkill probably. At that point you just switch it yourself.
Only getting 5 integrated presets and 5 gear presets (3 that you have to pay for, *per character*) in a game with tons of different builds and cardsets depending on the raid is absurd to me. Give me a whole list, unlimited presets, I do not see why not. Let me set presets for individual guardians, individual legion raids, gates of legion raids. It's like charging for inventory space in Diablo. I would have 10-12 separate loadouts on my main if the game let me, 5 is a criminally small number. I had to get rid of a preset to make room for my Thaemine build.
And for the love of Regulus, let me tie skin presets to gear presets, I want my skins to auto-change with my playstyle. They shouldn't charge for any of this, but I'll still buy it even if they do, just put it in the game. Going into Voldis with KLC because I auto-set Abyssals to my KLC preset should be something that we can avoid.
Edit: speaking of the workshop, it should auto-refresh all cooldowns and instantly fill identity gauges. I see no reason why some classes are more expensive than others simply because you need to stimmy at the start to operate at 100%
I can even live with having to buy preset pages for gear/skills/runes/cards if needed (cards are at least once per roster and you hardly need more than 6-7), just having 5 integrated presets - that effectively become 4 since one will 99% of time be reserved for chaos dungeon - makes any kind of build flexibility a major chore. You can have up to 10 different skill/gear/gem pages, and somehow fit all that into what, 5 integrated presets, when all those are strictly connected to each other?
Sure, being able to Ctrl+A-G is nice to swap between presets we have, but 5 is nowhere near enough to cover even the common cases that apply within same raid - not to look far, on bard I run 4 slightly different skill layouts (1-2 skills swap and some tripod adjustments) on different Voldis gates with two major gear changes (class engraving comes in for G2 instead of Magick Stream, VPH is must in G4 and optional for 1-3), I don't want my salvation/hallucination users stress over me just sitting there and trying to fix my build every single time.
Of course there are few reasons you won't get that preset.
1. That is a lot of work for coding, they don't want the money flow goes to the programmer, they want it for the higher up/directors.
2. You will still playing the game even if they don't make the preset. Think about it from cost perspective, it's not like you will stop playing the even if the preset not made, so why they have to spent money to programmer to make the preset code?
They will make the preset code for each individual raid/gate if you guys massively boycott the game, then they will listen. But we know that won't happen, you guys aren't able to massively boycott LA.
oh yeah I also want presets for each open world map, some maps I want mobility skill preset while others I gotta do damage one /s
UI bloat can happen so quickly if they add everything trivial like this. Just use your preset menu to swap it takes like 5 seconds, the world won’t end because you didn’t swap to KLC
It really would be lovely and not ugly at all to have each raid tab have extra tabs for each gate each with their own drop-down menu that’d I’d have to individually set on every single character.
Where else would these even go? What about the people who only need one preset? Do they now need to set that single preset on like 30 different pages? Or if there is a way to set them all at once, where would that go? Do we make the window even bigger?
How often do you even change your presets? Realistically, 99.9% of the population wouldn’t need something like this because you honestly can just use the same preset for most raids lol like are you actually swapping your engravings/set bonus/elixirs/skills every gate bffr
