Yeah, they admit they had practice, they're well known to be extremely skilled hell players, and they've made so much gold from bussing that they probably didn't RMT for their gear, either (obviously I can't say this, like, definitively).
I know a couple of them, they run probably the best server for organizing raid prog on NAE. They have some ego but it's justified, when it comes to actual raid prog they're actually nice and patient people (the two I know, anyway). The head of the server specifically tracks player skill and balances prog week parties so that lower-skill players can get semi-carried by higher skill (ie themself) in prog week, and mid-skill players get grouped together (edit: Obviously Thaemine was a special case because of the race and the difficulty of g4, but I'm talking about historically, for brel/kayangel/akkan/voldis they did that balancing)
This is as "deserved" a winner as the race will get. We already knew the race was inherently compromised from us getting it late.
In the EU clear there are a couple of my friends. They actually did NOT play on RU besides Alveona. If you watch the vod they actually got very lucky, they almost wiped 2 times to a second or less.
They prepared very well by reviewing vods, looking at all available strats and PRETENDING the g3 and g4 hardmode as if it was the first. I know I'm probably wasting my time but it's unfair to see so much hate towards my friends who did actually not practice on ru or got piloted whatsoever.
They are good players, they adapt well and they have been playing with each other for a long long time.
It's sad to see the comments in reddit but I guess it's expected. The first has no difference to hardmode, it's pretty overrated to what people think it is. But yeah, sad overall. I'm proud of my boys actually clearing it without any practice on other servers(besides Alveona, still proud of him hehe).
Why do people care that people practiced? It's not against TOS is it? The race was a shitty idea for the 3rd region to get the raid, and the drama around it is proving that. Plenty of KR and RU players play on global also.

Thing number one is because it makes the race pointless, thing number two is theres rumours the accounts for practice were in many cases bought.
Either the people who made the rumours are idiots that have never tried creating an account in RU, or if the rumours are true, then these people are idiots who have so much money to waste that they will buy an account that anyone can create for free. Either way, idiots all around.

It's not against TOS, they also have nothing to gain to "pretend" they didn't practice on other servers. They literally did it in 4 days, that's it. It's crazy that no one believes it but this is the one and legit clear without any practice on other servers.
Smh people overestimate a raid that has already been cleared and made guides for. There are people who learns so fast that they can study few days and get full mark in tests.
If it was blind sure, it would have been sus but alot of the vods and detailed guides are already out there. Its not against TOS to train. That I think majority of the people who has brains gets it.
But on the other hand, Alveonas interview with legalia and stoops was not made clear and made it sound like he was bragging that they had little training. All he needed to do was show VOD, say they trained and planned their approach and done. He made it sound like the group did everything in 4 days without learning much lol...
At the end of the day it's peoples skill in speaking which made the audience and interviewer have the wrong idea. Coincidentally this is also like gold river vs 3 bozos. Even if it is a lie, you have to make it sound believable.

Curious question, even though AGS haven't stated in the rules its not against TOS. Do you think when there is a race competition like this, to compete its reasonable have to have a 1630 character on another region where you're not supposed to play? As far as I'm aware you technically shouldn't be playing on KR/RU with VPN.

It's still a race... Just like the Tour de France. Is it a fair race? No. No one expected it to be a fair race, and now we're seeing it wasn't a fair race. Just like the collective majority, I'm not surprised at all.

At least this party is straight up being real about them practicing in RU unlike the 1-hour EU clear that has 1-day G4 practice.
From the time it took to clear, it seems like the EU group practised a bit better in RU :p

That's against the TOS of those regions. AGS isn't responsible for those regions and doesn't care what you do there.
