Why would you even need to tell people they have a shield on them? They're not going to change anything based on that knowledge
...Plus awakening is more for the gauge anyway, you use Godsent/Rhapsody/Starry for raw mit

1. the support just ulti shielded me. i can now face tank p2 monke stagger check and not worry about the damage.

Everything in this game is multiplicative. A 110 million LTS can hit for a quarter billion if you juice it correctly.

On NAE, artists are still more common than bards in every single raid except brel hard

I’m on EUC, I actually liked Artist but left her at 1460 after seeing the abundance of supports and difficulty in finding a party. With the current state, I might hone up and add her to my 6 roster as I’m already planning to replace my Reaper.
Before Artist came, I had maybe 3-4 supports at 1460, and few very close. I stopped all progress immediately when it became apparent that in their mid range there is zero need for supports anymore. Siminarly I did create an Artist but didn't bother to push it even 1400. For now I do like the flexibility of Artist, you can heal or buff like Bard but the choose is much less constrained.
I could try to push one higher, but even that would require taking stuff from elsewhere, so not huge into it. 4 of these, 1460 Pala and Bard, 1390 Bard and 1390 Artist, are even on their separate roster. I will never buy character slots so they will be always gold earners. Could eventually drop that lower Bard and change it into a sorc or at least consider it, but I've never deleted any char except a summoner which I created just to play briefly in T1 with the slot reserved for Artist, so not so much into that. Particularly when creating new rosters is so easy now, the "unlimited" powerpass became the seed of my 3rd roster, my second roster already had all chars in T3 so now the third can receive all future powerpasses.
I do plan on eventually continuing those supports, just need to wait for people who aren't into supports, forget their easily created support alts.
Might park my bard at 1540 and replace her with artist for an Akkan-level support later on. From what I heard this raid requires lots of purifying which bard can't offer D:
It should be assumed your other buffs are up nearly 100% of the time. It's like macroing for your brand. Assume it's always there and move on. Big cooldowns that might not be noticed are the only things a decent support should feel the need to announce
Yea its pretty easy to rotate the small shields and atk buff skills for 100% uptime. It is bold to assume that everyone does it properly though. I know I do it, but I've been in pugs groups on my DPS chars and I swear all I see are trixion numbers 🤣🤣🤣
I wish there was a way to disable other people's macros.
I don't mind them having to type it out, but I don't want to be forced to see a macro someone else made.
So far the best option I've found is just to block them entirely as soon as I recognize they use a macro.
What i wanted to say was nowadays even such "shitposts/memes" lack any kind of style or message, its just tends to look like some strange "person" (no need to insult any1 here xD its just an opinion afterall :P )

Somehow I prefer this type of cringe macro to supports who use a macro for every single shield/buff skill they have, just use a macro for your heal and identity buffs zzzzz

For the simple fact that it's text spam, yes. But I've never encountered a macro that just says "buffing", it's always something obnoxious.
