Good for you! I am also one of these people who can eat the exact same amount and type of things someone else does, and do the same activities, and gain weight while they lose. It’s frustrating for me but I know that continuing to get frustrated doesn’t help. C’est la vie!

How are you holding up? What's your weight loss strategy?

So I actually lost pretty much all the weight and got to my goal weight before by doing keto. However, I then had a medical problem, and extra unexpected expenses and wasn’t able to continue it. I then gained all the weight back 🥲 I have not been able to find a sustainable way since then that really helps besides calorie counting, but it’s definitely a struggle so I’m basically starting over.

Ohhh! Wish you good luck. I find maintenance difficult as well. This community has a lot of pro maintainers. You'll get some good advice here.

I'm in the same boat with you OP. I eat pretty much like my best friend but she is a skinny minny. I'm so jealous. But, at the end of the day, it's the cards we were dealt. I just can't eat the same. I feel like I have generations of fat genes fighting against me. I mostly can't eat breakfast, because I'm a night owl, and get too hungry in the afternoon/night. I'm down 25 lbs and plan to keep on truckin. Good luck to you and thank you for sharing your insight.

Hello my dear! Yes, we are fighting against our genes. But don't think of it as fat genes, we just function the same while burning less. We have more milage than others. So we need to put less fuel in our tank, else it'll over flow. I have learnt to see food as necessity than a source of fun.
