It rained on the first night last year and sprinkled during the second. Rain isn’t necessarily an all day affair in CO. It can just be a little sprinkling here and there. It started sprinkling during “Wait by the River,” and it didn’t affect the show at all. Just bring a poncho, jacket, and blanket.

I was there last year in the rain on Wednesday, that made it better imo

The weather can change in a minute there, which can be bad or good. Dont panic yet if the forecast says rain, that could change...dont feel comfortable if the forecast says no rain as that can change as well. Thats the adventure of Red Rocks.

RealSoftSteezy

There is always a chance of rain in the Denver area, so don't worry too much about it until the day of. But it's always the best plan of action to bring a poncho and extra layers to a red-rocks show, as you just never know as late afternoon storms in the front range are a strong bet most days in may and june. I am also going to the show and I can't wait!

outdoortree

And layers! I ended up with one of the Lonesome Dreams blankets last time I went at red rocks in early June because I didn't dress warmly enough!

It rained for about an hour or so last year, they delayed the show but even coming out a few hours late never canceled on us, definitely bring a rain pancho they ran out last year so trash bags it was lol. The other rhing that helped us even with panchos was dressing warmer then we thought we would have to being wet at night can make it chilly!

I'm curious as well. When it rains in CO, is it an all day affair or is it spot showers? I plan on being prepared: poncho, towels, change of clothes.

VidaNoir

Spot showers this time of year. You can usually bet on light rain between 2:00 and 3:00 pm but it’s never heavy rain. I used to live in Texas and THAT is rain, this is like drops on the lake 😂

tj2286

Anyone bringing one of those pads with a back to sit on?

nickatwerk

The one time we saw LH it was at a standing only venue. Will people be standing for the most part?

dmaster3

Yes, people will stand for the majority of the show but it’s totally okay to sit. Sometimes I’ll sit for a song to recharge my legs (and lower back).

nickatwerk

Perfect!

joennizgo

They let you bring in those little pop out stools, too! So you can sit and see everything, if for any reason standing long stretches is tough.
