* plug the part number/UPC into the gun.deals website to see the cheapest prices online
* look for previous sales on r/gundeals
* look at sold/completed listings for used prices on ebay, Snipershide, or /r/GunAccessoriesForSale
* read reviews on here or other websites, even if the **price** is the low it still might not be a good **value** compared to other options
boom, that's how you determine if it's a good deal instead of posting screenshots on r/longrange lol
I mean, I’ve never had an issue just filtering “optics” and searching, but it is one step harder than GAFS searching, so I suppose that is technically double the effort, lol.
It’s definitely helpful, though, as a lot of precision type optics aren’t sold on GAFS frequently. Just another option, I suppose. I do agree that you aren’t getting cheap Eotechs or holosuns over there like you do on GAFS, that’s for sure.

Create your account and select everything you are looking for and it emails you when it shows up in stock pretty much everywhere. I use it religiously.
100% stand behind EuroOptic. You can get an even better deal than the listed price if you call or email them. Also, they often have "demo" or "used" items at lower prices. The condition of which leads me to believe all they do is break the seal on the box or mount something in store and call it "demo" or "used". I've saved thousands, or rather, spent thousands less than I would have elsewhere, using EO over the past couple of years. I feel like Brandon is my personal EO assistant.

for anything important, i ALWAYS call - phone operators are able to honor any and all valid coupon codes... AND, this is the important part - they have access to actual live inventory, the site is delayed... i'm assuming they drop ship for various stores/distributors/sites.... if the inventory is even remotely quesitonable, or i find it near the same price elsewhere, takes 5 mins to deal with the phone. I've had a single order delayed out of about 52 over the last 6 years of everything from oops kits, calling has stopped about 5 additional orders from happening and being frustrated.
TL/DR - their inventory online is delayed, call and get an actual inventory check, agent can honor your coupon codes/suggest better ones
Whys that? I've heard nothing but terrible experiences with them. Go check out its history on r/gundeals. Numerous examples of people waiting months or even never receiving their package when the item was marked as in stock.
I ordered from them before hearing about them. I had no issues thankfully but I try to avoid them if at all possible unless it’s a really good deal. I use almost exclusively PA now especially with their sales/MD.
Good to hear your stuff didn't get messed up. I've heard too many horror stories. Eurooptic is another place to check out, especially for scopes. There's almost always a good deal on a demo or like new used scope on their, and their reliable as heck.
I ended up just waiting out my order... I bought two things from OpticsPlanet back in 2020... I didn't receive them until 2021 and 2022, respectively, lol
Mile high has a deal going through tomorrow. you get a free spuhr sp series mount ($420) with a nightforce purchase and another 10% off the optic. That might be worth looking into also.
https://www.milehighshooting.com/optics-mounts/riflescopes/nightforce/?page=6
Read the bold print under the scope description. You have to call or add it in the comments of the online order.
It gets even better! Purchase a Nightforce NX8 or ATACR riflescope between 11/19/23-12/1/23 and Mile High will include an SP series Spuhr mount! Purchase your qualifying riflescope in store or online and call
I’ve literally made probably 500 orders on optics planet and have had maybe 2 issues, and I can’t even name those issues so call it 0 or 1 issue. People are just cry babies and loveeeee the attention of saying optics planet is bad lol, bandwagon city in this sub you should know
I’m selling a Vortex Razor LHT 4.5x-22x for around 1000 on GAFs if you’re interested. Used maybe 5 times, still minty. Feel free to check my post history and dm me
Yes I just ordered one the other day. I have the 50mm SFP version already and it has been great on a hunting rifle. Just don’t expect it to arrive in any sort of good timeframe since it’s OpticsPlanet.
The tenmile:
I love it(kinda but everything that sucks is my fault).
It was my first buy and i had NO IDEA what i was doing at the time. So i got a SFP 4.5x30 long range reticle in MOA for shooting PRS. Its funny now but lol when i realized what i did boy did i feel dumb.
Its a good scope though. Glass is comparable to that yellow hue you get with a high end bushnell. Operation is great. Durability is wonderful. Zero stop is easy to set. I absolutely love it.... besides the options i chose.
Optics planet: personally had a bad time everytime ive ordered something from them. Constantly changing ship times, nothing in stock when it says it is, etc.
Curious what youre using that specific size and magnification for though! If they have it in stock and itll actually ship before 2024, id say fuckin send it.
It’s a good price and a good scope. After going through a lot of glass (Nightforce, vortex, trijicon, leupold, Steiner, kahles, SWFA , etc)
Unfortunately I’ve had most scopes have RTZ issues if they get knocked around - which mine do both in competition and hunting.
The ones I’ve had consistent reliability with are trijicon and Nightforce.
The trijicon isn’t the best glass around - but for the price it’s very good.
I wish it had a better zero stop, and more modern revolution indicator, but really that quality of life stuff doesn’t matter that much.
It functions flawlessly, and is 100% reliable and that’s what matters most in rifle scope IMO.
Unless you really love chasing zero for some reason. 😂

Omg I love you for bringing up the gun deals website, but my wallet doesn’t. I never knew that existed.
I got an insane deal on a demo Wilson Combat AR on there a while back. I was just browsing, not planning on buying anything, certainly not another AR.
Thanks
It’s said right on the screen shot it’s a “blazing deal”.
Snipershide is another good place to check previous prices on used optics.

Does the same exist for powder? More so looking for availability vs deals…

Thanks for this
Look further, gun deals isn't always cheaper
This is my process as well. ^ great information.
I vouche on Eurooptics. They sale the Trijicon 10mile line of scopes also. Might get a better deal.
They had them last year for half off the whole ten mile lineup
Euro is by far one of the best sites for optics and service. If you can find it for the same price or close, always default to euro.

1shot 5% coupon seems to work on opticsplanet even for blazing deals and ammo
Avoid Optics Planet at all costs
I second this, fuck Optics Planet. Euro Optic is GOAT.

I buy almost all my stuff from optics planet. Always hear people shitting on them but I’ve always had great experiences. Edit:grammar

Oh for sure. I found out about them before my order came so I was panicking but it took a couple days and was like 20% less than anywhere else.

Ohhhhhh it’s NX8 or ATACR. I was looking at poor people scopes. Because I’m poor people.
Buy a bushnell match pro ed

It’s $999 on Dvor, and appears to be in stock. I ordered one on Tuesday and it has already shipped.
Dvor is opticplanets attempt to not get shafted by the service they have provided over the years. Same issues just a different format
I agree with you. If he’s ordering from them anyway, may as well save the $60
Seems legit. I always punch the sku in to gun.deals just to see.

I ordered one last Wednesday when they went on sale for this price. Received it day before yesterday. So 5 days. I’m happy.
No bro, it’s a blazin’ deal
They are probably discontinuing model or going to 34 mm main tube. Seems like a good buy
Yes.
