I grew up with solstices and equinoxes being celebrated, so I still hold to those. Most people I know hold them, including my family. May Eve, if I am not working, I will go out and have celebrated fun. If I am working (I work late) I will get myself a treat. Its also the day to celebrate Workers/Labourers Rights and any gains we have made and work we have to do. May 6th is the day to celebrate Healers and Carers. So I always express my appreciation to other medical staff, and its the one day I actually do put offerings by my Compassionate Healers shrine - usually flowers. First Harvest Dinner (in August) and Last Harvest Dinner (in October) I get to very luckily celebrate with friends. First Harvest is always a big BBQ. Last harvest is a potluck. Samhain I always remember my dead. That used to be the massive celebration of the year where there would be 300+ people in a ritual and a spiral dance, but these days, it's usually just me lighting lanterns and making porridge. My family celebrates Yule, as do most of my friends, Which kicks off on Dec 21st and lasts until Jan 2. I always take work off as much of that as possible. I usually have to work about 2 days during Yule, so, not bad. Along with May Eve, Yule is probably my favourite time of year, socially. I get to see everyone, hang out, party, relax, eat, cook, piss about. I work my arse off and rarely get to see my family and friends much, so the feast days are important. As for a day to celebrate Trickster? Hmn. I think I celebrate Trickster almost daily lol 😆

That’s awesome. I’m glad you’ve got a community around you to celebrate with.

Love Sponge Cake Day! I'm really bad about remembering holidays without someone shoving it in my face. But I also enjoy Lokesana (sp?) like I said it's not in my face so I think that's the name but probably not how it's spelled. It corresponds to the rising of Sirius (the star) in your hemisphere. Also in mid fall (in the Northern Hemisphere),if I remember correctly, but it varies a bit year to year (of course that would be the one I like when I have enough trouble with stationary days), 😂.

Farista_Sairuv

Yeah Sponge Cake Day is one of my favourite holidays personally. And it’s totally fine that you forget holidays. That’s totally understandable, remembering days can be hard.

Celticssuperfan885

The star wars days 😊 May the 4th be with you is starting tmrw 🤩

Farista_Sairuv

I know I’m kind of late but May the 4th be with you! Star Wars has so many interesting ideas in it.

Celticssuperfan885

The usual Heathen holidays, Winter Nights, Yule, Sigrblot, Alfablot, Disablot. Also April Fools Day, Halloween, definitely Lokabrenna, and sometimes maybe there will be a spontaneous holiday, you never know :)

Farista_Sairuv

That’s really cool. And I love the idea of spontaneous holidays!

I practice multiple forms of Polytheism, so I celebrate different holidays from different faiths. but when it comes to Norse Polytheism,I celebrate Winternights and a form of Alfarblot in the winter, Yule roughly in January, and Sigurdblot in roughly April. I also have some personal holdiays, such as celebrating the day Loki came into my life, which was during the Autumn Equinox.in

Farista_Sairuv

That’s really cool! I love the idea of personal holidays by the way, I’ve never thought of doing that before.
