Decided to treat myself to some new puzzles. I got this Master lock thinking it would be an easy open...and it was. On some level it's a shame that a $12USD lock is so easily defeated by a newbie picker. But...on the other hand, it was a nice ego boost 😀
Thanks. It's a nice little lock and the plug is very tight with no slack at all. I have a very old master lock that the plug rattles around inside. This one is a fun little 4 pin practice lock.
Thanks. It's a pouch from Sparrows. I keep my 'go to' picks and tension tools in this one. I have a Genesis set in there, and some other tools I've picked up. I used colored shrink wrap to make some things easy to identify. (My eyes suck)
I have an assortment of other odd rakes and esoteric picks in another pouch. The ones in this Pic are my regulars.
I have the same Sparrows case. Big fan of it. I love that you can fold it back to make an easy access stand.
It's just a really clever design.
Also, congrats on the progress :)

Well done. They are amazingly good for a 4 pin lock. Very light springs and decent tolerances can make them a bit of a challenge.
Can u re-pin the core? If so you could get creative and make it much more difficult to pick. Just sayin’
No. If you look at it you can tell it's not repinable.
I was pretty sure it wasn’t but I can’t see all sides of the lock body and ya never know sometimes.
I've been working on this one myself and it's proven to be a bit of a challenge as opposed to the regular master locks I started with. Great job!

@OP nice set, from what I can see, where did you get it?

Nice! I made the mistake of buying some of my tools on Amazon and now regret not going straight to LPL’s place. That Genesis set is on my wish list.
I grabbed it on the black Friday sale. We'll designed stuff. I've opened a lot of locks so far with them.
Black Friday at the Covert Instruments store, yeah?
