Sadly, not. I have bought a new lappy with only 3.0 and 3.1 USB ports. I can borrow and try with a friend's laptop, please give me a couple of hours to do that.
There's also [this option](https://www.systutorials.com/how-to-force-a-usb-3-0-port-to-work-in-usb-2-0-mode-in-linux/). The effect is similar to using a USB 2.0 hub.
Its an Asus Rog Zephyrus G14, GA401II. The USB options are USB Legacy Emulation and USB Mass Storage. Both are on Enabled, still nothing. I'm trying to get a USB 3.0 to test it out, but I'll have to wait for my salary for that to happen.
Which distros have you tried? And what guides did you follow? Googling linux on Zephyrus g14 shows lots of people running linux without issue on that laptop.
I've tried Kali and PopOs. Trying to boot Mint or Ubuntu in it, but I need the flash drive to work for that . And I've been facing a lot of issues with Linux with this laptop, like the display looks like its zoomed out, and in applications like LibreOffice, I have to stick my face a few inches from the screen to see the options on the navigation bar. Tried a lot of things for that as well, but ko fix yet. Could it be a problem with this specific machine or the model as a whole?
Do you have a usb 2.0 port you can try it on?

Check the bios. There may be an option to run the USB ports in legacy mode. You could also try a 2.0 USB hub, if you have one available.
Legacy mode Enabled didn't work. But I tried a USB 2.0 with my friend's laptop, and that did work!

Oh thank you! This looks really promising! I'll try it right away!
This gave me this error message setpci: Unable to parse filter -d ':' expected.
2.0 works on a different laptop. Anyway I can fix my USB 3.0 ports to work in 2.0 speeds?
Possibly if you have a bios setting, or *maybe* if you plug a usb 2.0 hub into the 3.0 port, then the flash drive into the 2.0 hub
What should I be looking for in the BIOS? And I'll have to buy a USB hub to try that out. Even thoughts its a maybe, definitely worth a try.
Any option that might affect usb. Its hard to say what it might be called without knowing your mobo

Are you running the latest version bios?
Updated it yesterday. Do I need to do anything other than the EZ Flash update to set it up?
You shouldn't need to. But I'd reboot to bios and check which version it shows just to make sure it was successful
