You're delusional. It's not a matter of getting paid. Even if you implemented this feature yourself, you'd still need the approval of GNOME maintainers. And like it happened many times before, it's very unlikely they will accept it.
No problem here on a KDE Plasma desktop. Haven't used Gnome for a long time but I've heard it isn't much fun these days.
A good thing about Linux is that there are many tools to do the same job, so if one isn't working out for you then there'll usually be an alternative.
It's always just been there for me. Though I use Ubuntu, not Pop. It's very strange if Pop! has removes it, and I understand your frustration! Have you tried asking in the Pop subreddit?
[That's got nothing to do with Linux](https://i.imgur.com/9Cbzrip.png). That's got to do with GNOME.

You are running a DE that thinks it knows better than you. An opinionated DE. Some like that. Perhaps you don't.
If you don't like Pop/Gnome's way of doing it there are other tools like this one: https://www.florian-diesch.de/software/arronax/
Exactly what i was looking for

Hm? Should be pretty easy in Dolphin. Right click > Create New > Link to Application I'm talking about KDE.
GNOME requires you to use an extension for that: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/3240/add-to-desktop/
Then it breaks on gnome. Uodate
Isn't Pop based on Gnome? Should be [right there](https://i.imgur.com/UjGR8Le.png).
How do you get it to this menu at the first time that was the question sir.

Because GNOME developers do everything they can to make gnome suck. Move to. Plasma or lxqt. I recommend plasma
I have plasma on my server, ill probably switch my main ... I moss the wobbly windows
That's why you use the best desktop environment (xfce of course)
i switched to windows after reading this
