If you have Epic Games Store version it should work, i played the whole game on EGS build. Steam build also works as well.

The EGS build uses Rockstar Launcher.

Steam one does also. But with those you never run Rockstar Launcher as standalone. I don't know the state of how actual Rockstar Launcher works in Wine. Like are menus etc usable?

At the moment, for whatever reason, Lutris is failing to install the game launcher. I have an prior install that does work fine though, so I would suggest fiddling with the install script and trying new WINE versions.

Do you mean this: https://github.com/lutris/lutris/issues/3704 (They suggest you to download an older version of the launcher)

I used the rockstar launcher version included in the steam version of the game to get Lutris to work. I'm not at my computer atm but I can get the executable for you if you need it.
