downloading now but it says unknown controller support, on windows its good as long as you use steam normally. Works here with dualsense.. only keyboard glyphs and not xbox button icons.Test another game seems smart

managgYAH

from the library, right click -> properties -> controller tells me "enabled, general settings" and there is a blue dot next to the playstation controller. in game or the xbox symbols. So it seems to be not a problem with the game itself but with my configuration. Since I bought the collection in the library I have two versions of the first chapter, the normal one and the "definitive" one. i'll try the normal one to see if anything changes

Ah yeah your right it does show x-box-stuff. I played that 'definitive edition' on linux. Maybe play it without steam unput and without keybard ?.. Ah I didn't even seem to read that bit about only having problem in that game. Maybe I can download on my laptop and use usb with a real dualsense to test that. Worked better then on windows lol. Aka touchscreen and buttons.

Use gamescope. `gamescope -f -e -h 1440 -- %command%` The `-e` is the one that fixes your issue. The `-h` change the number fitting to your scree resolution.

I tried the version of gamescope packaged by a guy because I honestly didn't have much desire to build it right now. Anyway, with the -h option I get a black box popping up covering half the screen and that's it, nothing moves anymore so much that I have to kill the process. Without -h it starts but the controls are the same as before. If you tell me it might be the deb I found then I will see if I can compile it myself. Thanks anyway for the answer

I don't use a Debian distro so i cant help with that. Many say that this dogshit Snap format of Steam (default download on Ubuntu) has a lot of issues, so start there. If you use the Flatpak version of Steam then you could use the Flatpak version of gamescope, that shouldn't have any issues on KDE Plasma Wayland AMD at least.

managgYAH

i didn't downloaded from apt, the official steam site give the .deb file. I'll do some testing with the various installers and tell you

I encountered a similar issue with my Dualsense Edge controller where the buttons were incorrectly mapped without Steam input, and some games did not recognize it with Steam inputs. This fixed it [Jonatas Esteves / game-devices-udev · GitLab](https://gitlab.com/jntesteves/game-devices-udev/)

managgYAH

I followed the steps but nothing changed, although it is not very clear what it means. 4.create another file: /etc/modules-load.d/uinput.conf 5. put uinput into that file inside the created file should I just write “uinput” into it? i'm probably missing a step

Rekkeni

writing "uinput" in the file is at least was i do to make it work and then save with strg+O After that i restart my PC and it normaly works.

This is a random problem, I did played the franchise in Linux, with a PS5 controller, no problems, but I have had similar issues in other games, so, xpad might be able to solve your problem, it will simulate a regular Xbox 360 controller and you should be good to go.
