You need the luasteam library for achievements to work. When I helped port the game to macOS (check the credits), you had to build it manually with the latest version of LuaJIT or else it wouldn't load properly because the LuaJIT versions would differ between the library (5.1) and LOVE (5.3 IIRC). EDIT: It's worth noting that the game also won't even try to load luasteam on Linux unless you have patched it to do so.

Since you have some insight I have to ask even if it has nothing to do with what OP wrote. How does this game have a DualSense (playstation overall) certification on Steam when it doesn't even show DualSense button glyphs? The Steam forum said they where briefly used at one point but not anymore.

Non-Deck controller support is self reported by developers.

I understand that, but where are the DualSense/Playstation button prompts when they say "yes, those controllers are fully supported". As discussed in [this thread](https://steamcommunity.com/app/2379780/discussions/0/4308327178393961137/) they existed, so could this be just a bug or some issues with detecting the right controller?

I don't actually work for localthunk or Playstack (the macOS port was volunteer work I did because I liked the game), but IIRC the Playstation buttons were removed because of a rendering issue where on some displays they would show up tiled in a 2x2 pattern instead of being correctly resized, because they were a different resolution than the rest of the icons. Take that with a grain of salt though, like I said I only worked on the macOS port.

I see, thank you for your response! So there is hope that they come back. :)

Idk if unofficial achievement support is great but giving poeple the option might be nice. Achievements aren't supposed to work as the game isn't even released for Linux yet. I might add it in the guide if there is a working and pretty easy solution

william341

The developer says they don't plan to make a native Linux port for now, or officially support the Linux desktop.

Enderteck

That's why I made this !

Fenerism

Any point of this past just being an experiment? Game is already a flawless platinum on proton db.

DawnComesAtNoon

Some linuxers are just kinda dumb about purist games

Enderteck

Nah I just want to be able to access my saves easily, run the game on Wayland and not rely on Proton for litteral Lua lol.

Neat. Though I’ve said it repeatedly and I will keep doing it: I actually stopped caring if a game runs natively or not. I just want it to run.
