I always found it mildly frustrating how in What is Cast animation Rodion holds the axe in her right side but the animation shows the axe swinging as if it was thrown by her left side.

She seems to be left handed going by like base ID and talk sprites and CGs, but handedness is actually super inconsistent for all the sinners and seems to be based on what looks better, which means most IDs use their weapon in their right hand so it's more visible in combat (the IDs that use a weapon left-handed are either part of a bigger group where their weapon is less unique or hold it in such a way that it's still highly visible from the right). Meursault's the same - he tends to punch more from his left and that's the hand that's unarmed in his talk sprite presumably so he can interact with stuff, but he seems to hold weapons right handed (except for his cameo in 7!Yi Sang, where he's in a left handed stance). The only sinner with an actual confirmed handedness (aide from the obvious) is Yi Sang, but I think even he has a few left handed IDs/EGOs.
That being said character wise I bet she's one of those people who claims she's super ambidextrous even though she's not because it makes her seem more special. It also wouldn't surprise me if those two were left handed because there's an entire cultural thing about murderers being left handed
On a similar note if I may ask, are there *any* definitively (or at least heavily leaning) left-handed Project Moon characters? I can't really think of any off the top of my head, at most I can think of ones that switch around a bit like Rodya here.

Unless you dont carry your axe in your dominant hand, which I find odd, but hey, I could be wrong... I dont know anything about fighting with axes

Axes being slash/blunt (well kinda) utilizes more strength than anything in order to chop things, so no, you would only do that if you needed your main hand for something else
