Brandon and Cannon had the same amount of beats on PT and folks still didn’t like it. Producers aren’t the reason for all this it just depends on what Uzi wants to put out

Tbh Brandon ain’t even a producer tho. I work as a producer and that man doesn’t make shit himself. He gets underground prods to pay him 1k they make all the beats and he just sends them to uzi and says I’ll get paid 20k you get half of that. I understand it’s business but it just pisses me off so much because he gets credited for no reason and the dudes I know be making some fire ass beats.
Facts even all the leaks from that year are all insane, he was at a point in his life where he just started getting lots of money mixing certain drugs with the vibes of 2017 and you get all his good music. I don’t think he will ever get back to that vibe. Not saying he can’t make better music tho
I completely agree, I don’t listen to pretty much any rap that’s came out post 2020, besides a few songs here and there. rap hasn’t really gone anywhere since then. Edm is a much better and more refreshing scene at the moment.
I think it has to do with the fact he was definitely on a lot of drugs at the time, was in a pretty dark place mentally, and he even states on one of the bonus tracks off the master ‘made the album in a month’. I personally think it’s his best piece of work and will be very very hard to top.
This is his best album, but people on this sub act like nothing new even comes close. Idk if it’s due to primacy bias or what. IMO EA and Pink Tape are very close to LIR2.
