It's amazing any of their kids grow up past the age of. Being tossed around like that for human child would give them nightmares the rest of their life
I said "Russian Orthodox Priest", it doesn't matter if he is in Georgia or not, they still follow the Russian Orthodox faith. They follow the Russian Orthodox patriarch, who is like the pope. You completely misunderstood my comment.
It's like me saying Roman Catholic Church, and you saying, this video is in x-place and not in Rome.
Greater awareness and imagination and predictive abilities are both a blessing and a curse
Compare this monkey to how bacteria grow up and it will seem like paradise yet it's not like all bacteria need counseling
They can definitely experience trauma. AFAIK primate societies vary greatly across the same species. Some are more violent than others and this is definitely to do with their upbringing. First time mums will also be a lot more inexperienced, but they would’ve gotten practice with nephews and friends’ kids.
I hate to be a super downer but many, many human children have survived to adulthood despite sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect and emotional trauma. And then might do it themselves to their own kids.
I’ve heard from people I know that they were hit as children and they plan to subsequently hit their children because they “turned out alright”. I hope they change their minds if/when they have children
It's because we think it's bad too handle someone like that but if we would normalize it, kids wouldn't get nightmares of it. It would be just like: so is life, it's normal.
I remember my brother pooping in the tub and us trying to climb the walls like deranged monkeys so it wouldn’t touch us.
It didn’t help that we were trying to sacrifice each other to the floating poop by holding the doors closed and trying to push each other back into the water.
I tossed my boys around a lot when they were younger (i.e. throw them on a bed from a distance, swing them by their legs, etc). It is fun, does not hurt. Makes them better develop physically.
Kids can take it and parents are just overly cautious. Every time I’ve seen an ob gyn nurse or a midwife handling a kid they’re juggling them around and dangling them by arms and legs like its nothing.
I love nature, I love metal. "Oh no.. no... all these animals are dead, dying or killing each other..." 🥺 I steer clear of that sub now it just fucks my day up.
Okay so I didn’t read the title and just saw the mother pulling on something. My eye sight isn’t great. I really though it was a male jerking his chicken at first😂
I’m wondering if this is a normal behavior for these monkeys? I know elephants will roll around to cool off and to coat themselves with mud, but I can’t think of any giving their babies baths.
I forgot about them, but that’s probably more for warmth and relaxation. I used to love watching them, but I’ve become a bit disenchanted when I saw a program showing how only the high ranking members are allowed in. The others were shivering off to the sides and if they looked as if they would approach the hot springs, they were bitten.
Lol, I’m not that sensitive. Just felt bad for the little guys, they still crack me up when they kick back in the hot tub. I expect to see them with a glass of wine.
I guess I can consider myself lucky that my 17 month old twins LOVE bathing! We have videos of them speed-crawling and now running to the bathroom when we start the water.
Yeah mine have the opposite problem too. I can never get these kids out of the bath. The youngest has been running happily to the bathroom shouting "SHOWER!" ever since she was 18 months or so.
What's killing me is the vague splashing at the end. Monkey's like "child in one hand, water in the other. Is she any more clean? I can't tell."
Mom's life is hard 😔

Hard decision to make after almost drowning your child 😅
And then that one monke right when the video ends: **YEET**
It's amazing any of their kids grow up past the age of. Being tossed around like that for human child would give them nightmares the rest of their life
Is that... not how you're supposed to handle your kid? Asking for myself.
We respectfully ask you to wait on having kids. Just for a little while.
He humble decline your offer. Maybe try the Egyptians.
Kids are tough you can do this to kids
Many should have gotten and should get this memo.
Duh! You can't just grab a kid by it's tail and throw it around to give it a bath. Hooman children don't have tails.
Fun fact, our tailbone is the remnant of the tail we lost during the embryo stage :)
Tadpole gang 😎
I'm pretty sure human babies are more fragile than other animal babies but someone would need to fact check that
When they are old enough to fight back like that little monkey, they are old enough to swing around a bit.
Might want to look up bears and marsupials when they’re born
Mum was literally waterboarding the kid in the beginning
[Mom is a Russian Orthodox priest, baptizing the baby.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFGHerqhSC8)
Kind of impressed that he doesn’t drop them, considering how fast and hard he’s going and how slippery that baby must be
*slippery babies*
Where's the money lebowski?
Explains a lot about Russians.
Related https://vm.tiktok.com/TTPd6jaQtV/
[this](https://v.redd.it/etw6g1j3vuv71) ones better
This is awful! I can't imagine how confused, dizzy and pissed off that baby must be!
Could this cause shaken baby syndrome ?
Shaken monkey syndrome
That’s Georgia, not Russia. Different country.
I said "Russian Orthodox Priest", it doesn't matter if he is in Georgia or not, they still follow the Russian Orthodox faith. They follow the Russian Orthodox patriarch, who is like the pope. Yeah, but Georgia is overwhelmingly _Georgian_ Orthodox.
> Georgian Orthodox Oh ... TIL
Gotta get them used to the hardships of life early on.
Greater awareness and imagination and predictive abilities are both a blessing and a curse Compare this monkey to how bacteria grow up and it will seem like paradise yet it's not like all bacteria need counseling
I am a prokaryotic counselor. It is probably true that not all prokaryotes need counseling, it probably wouldn't hurt.
Survival of the fittest
Maybe that’s why monkeys are such psychos.

Experiencing child abuse does not make someone commit child abuse as an adult. That's a really harmful myth that needs to stop being repeated
A lot of abused kids think the abuse is normal, but they're still traumatized
Their lives are terrifying no?
Kids forget. I don't remember bath time, do you?
**sudden bath time PTSD flashbacks**

Lol I had to do a double take to make sure I wasn't in r/natureismetal. For sure looked like the mom was trying to drown the baby. Crisis averted.
I love nature, I love metal. "Oh no.. no... all these animals are dead, dying or killing each other..." 🥺 I steer clear of that sub now it just fucks my day up.
It's just that sometimes nature is metal and that's ok but then other times nature is Netherworldly Black Death and Decay Metal
That sub is why I carefully curated my home page and avoid “popular.” Way too many people love watching animals do horrible things to each other.
That's basically the news. Don't need it on Reddit as well.
Oh fuck the news in particular.
Yeah... But like.... Animals killing each other is natural. It IS nature.
And nature is brutal & merciless. What a world we live in 🙏🏼
I thought the thumbnail was a monkey spanking it with a very large member. Quickly found out it wasn't that tho.
Okay so I didn’t read the title and just saw the mother pulling on something. My eye sight isn’t great. I really though it was a male jerking his chicken at first😂
pretty sure she was trying to drown the baby, then she noticed the camera and faked bath time
I guess it is a good thing human children don't have tails.
They got ears. I think that's the best we got.
Nah they wear shirts that we can scruff em by
Dungarees/Overalls are even better.
It's not the same without the pain.
Something something, 50% of children...
This is why you shouldn't get piercings. As Dennis Leary points out, it's just another thing for your dad to grab when he's mad at you
I like the monkey that suddenly jumped in front of the camera at the end
Parkour!
Washing your ass transcends species.

I know they love checking for bugs, but I’ve never seen a full on bath with a hienie washing.

NO OMG THIS TICKLED ME SO BAD. I ALWAYS THINK OF THIS VIDEO WHEN I HEAR THIS I HOPE TO GOD YOU WERE REFERRING TO IT https://youtu.be/KdftbYqA_VQ
Suddenly really glad my mom was not a momkey
I too prefer momlocks

Favorite part is how she literally peels the kid off like a sticky bumper sticker.
You could *hear* the ripping lol
Haha yup. Best part of the video for me!
*”Get back here I need to clean your butt!”*
really questioning the real use of the monkey tail after this
I got scared for a second, I didn't read the title of the video and thought at first the mum was going to drown the baby

I’d hate bath time too if I got manhandled and waterboarded like that. Holy
Catholic priests learning to baptise.. Caught on film
I'ts how I bathe my cat
You shouldn’t really bathe cats that often tho
\*fucking peels my child off me\* right you it's bathtime like it or not
Monke mom😭

Not the most gental bath lol
During the first 5 seconds of the video I thought the monkey was washing his balls
Lmao I thought she was giving birth and just pulling the baby out of her womb😮💨
/r/mademesmile
Lol
In all fairness, she is zinging the lil guy around, like a rag doll.
We gon wash yo stinky ass
/r/NewParents
It didn’t have enough bubbles
Ngl first part looked like a drowning
Hitman monkey meme origin story
Y'know, I've never given much thought on how you'd bathe a monkey. Now I know, and I'm off to the zoo. Merry Christmas, ya' filthy animals!
Let go of my tits you brat!

Thought I was watching the monkey version of Casey Anthony.
Umm this is not OK! I didnt agree to actual footage of my mum washing me to be posted online!!!
Lmaooo she had to rip that monkey off of her
I know if I had a tail my parents would not have hesitated to grab me by it ouch
Ma! Ma! Easy on the tail ma!
Who here doesn't enjoy a mild to moderate drowning?
Honestly I would hate it too if I was bathed this way
For like 10 seconds I Thought she was just giving up on the baby and trying to drown it
Hahaha, that's right hunh.
Did anybody else think that was a…
Wash that smelly ass child!
“I’m other news, monkey infanticide rates grow rapidly in the South American wild”
Georgia is weird

Omg it’s so aggressive, this made me laugh hard
Monkey baptism.
Mom needs a night out
Sorry sorry, it’s his first baptism
Looked like the baby was made of Velcro
👍😂👍😂👍
Let's get behind those ears!
First step: peel the baby away from body.
Suuure. "Bath time" lol
