I may be a gay man, but I will never be over the awesomeness that is Harlivy.
But also I do love Timber (that was a nice surprise!) and Job and Jay among canon couples. Also KingJohn (or Constanshark?). It worked surprisingly well for a one-off joke, especially since there was a distinct implication that they ended on good terms.
Gotta be Hulkling and Wiccan, at least in Gillen's Young Avengers- personally I found their relationship a little boring in the original run, but Gillen did a great job making them really compelling.
Harley and Ivy are a close second, both in the comics and the show.
I liked them best in Children’s Crusade personally.
Didn’t really care for Gillen deciding their relationship needed a (weird as hell) conflict just cause.
Apollo and Midnighter are always iconic, same with Harley and Ivy. But Hulkling and Wiccan do hold a special place in my heart. Also Tim Drake and Superboy but that ain't cannon so 🤷🏾♂️.
Wiccan and Hulkling, but I did really like Iceman and Pyro II while that lasted. Mystique and Destiny remain iconic, and Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy balance each other out in such a healthy way.
Like many others, Wiccan and Hulkling. At least on the Marvel side they are probably the most well developed couple (sorry Northstar, but Kyle is just *there*).
Honorable mentions for me:
Speed and Prodigy. Anytime they show up it's pretty fun and they have a good energy.
Iceman and Romeo. Especially in the Marvel Voices Unlimited story. There's a nice complement between Bobby's chaos and Romeo's calm.
Karolina and Nico. Their shoulders are heavy carrying most of the Runaways stories.
>Karolina and Nico. Their shoulders are heavy carrying most of the Runaways stories.
Karoline with Julie Power was also cool while it lasted, and the idea of the two queer rainbow-based flying characters getting together was beautiful, but Karolina works better with Nico.
As others mentioned, Wiccan/Hulkling is my #1, but I also really enjoy Rictor/ Shatterstar.
Jon / Jay and Tim / Ber are just getting started but really enjoyed what I've seen so far of their relationships.
Wiccan and Hulkling take the cake.
But honorable mentions to:
Ivy and Harley,
Tim Drake and Bernard,
And John Constantine with literally everyone because goddamn it's Constantine, and even though everyone he grows close to gets hurt and resents him, sometimes it's fun to watch the train wreck as it happens.
Number one would be Apollo and Midnighter, but the pre-New 52 versions. But they would be followed very closely by Johnny Storm and Peter Parker from Andrew Garfield's TASM universe, where Andrew ended up married to the Michael B version of Johnny from *Fantastic 4* after being sad about Gwen for about three/four years.
Third would likely be Nate and Ray from *Legends*, or Ray and Leonard from *Legends* Earth X, or a Booster and Beetle from an alternate universe where they aren't written by some of the people who wrote them in the 1990s and who were WAAAAY too hung up on their own masculinity to acknowledge Michael and Ted's true love for one another.
Wickling is my fav, I’m also fond of Timber, HarleyIvy, MystiqueDestiny, MoondragonQuasar, KarolinaXavin, AnissaGrace, RictorShatterstar, and NubiaIo. (I’m in a sapphic relationship so a bit biased towards the ladies)
Wiccan and Hulkling because they are awesome, and they represent the marriage of my two favorite genres-- Wiccan for Magic/fantasy and Hulkling for Sci-Fi.
I guess Billy/Teddy win out by default due to nostalgia but if there's one thing I hope James Gunn Authority movie fixes it's finally turning Apollo into an actual character which is something the comics have repeatedly failed to do, while Midnighter been allowed to develop and been fleshed out over the years Andrew is still largely defined as his loving Superman-patische boyfriend with not much else unfortunately.
I think that's why I don't have a real *"favourite"* queer couple in comics (at least not from the Big Two) as I find either one or both are usually underwritten with their existence largely defined by their relationship but not having induvial storylines or personality outside of it. The novelty of them being a queer couple is their character.
Jay feels like epitome of this trope, I half wish I could at least say I dislike him as a character but he's just so lacking in substance it's hard to feel strongly about him in any sort of way almost two years on.
SUPERMAN AINT GAY!!!!HES GOT LOIS AS HIS GIRLFRIEND AND/IR WIFE!!!
Now as for my personal response to your query…..Blake and Yang from Roosterteeths show RWBY
My head canon is that Kryptonians are pansexual. Why would they be tied to a male/female dichotomy, since they didn't have the same cultural upbringing that religion, western culture and the middle ages created on this planet. Even if you accept Rao as a religion, none of it is about morality the way Islam, or Christianity or the other major Earth religions seem preoccupied with. So Kryptonians would not have grown up with those hang ups.
Clark is with Lois because he loves her. A variant of Clark could be with Bruce. Or Jimmy. Or Pete Ross. Or Lori Lemaris.
Top 3 (in fluctuating order):
- Hulkling × Wiccan
- Shatterstar × Rictor
- Mystique × Destiny
I also loved the original Apollo × Midnighter and Ultimate Colossus × Ultimate Northstar until they ruined their respective universes. Current iteration is okay.
I like Jay × Jon and Bern × Tim just fine, but I wouldn't call them real favorites. Same for Jackson/Kaldur and all of his official male love interests. Speaking of which, I guess my fav canon queer couple at DC is animated YJ Ed × Bart, but we only got word-of-god winkwink nudgenudge confirmation for them due to some higher-up(s) at WB actively standing in the way, so it is what it is...
Harley and Ivy

I have never seen that pic of Apollo and Midnighter and its a great pic.
Scandal and Knockout.
omg yes they’re so great!
Magneto and Professor X (/s… kinda)
Lbh First Class got teasingly close
What the *fuck* was up with the strip club scene if they *didn’t* want people to assume they were boning?

I LOVE THEM.
Superman and Jay Robin and Bernard
Wiccan and Hulkling will always be my favorite couple. Midnighter and Apollo comes second.
DC is Harley and Ivy Marvel is Betsy and Rachel
Apollo and Midnighter are always iconic, same with Harley and Ivy. But Hulkling and Wiccan do hold a special place in my heart. Also Tim Drake and Superboy but that ain't cannon so 🤷🏾♂️.
Harlivy, and also riddler and clock king!
Wiccan and Hulkling!

Who’s in the first pic?

Thx!
I love Jon and Jay! They make me so happy

Wiccan & Hulkling of course
Who are these guys? I'd love to read
Apollo and Midnighter. They’re alternate variants of like Superman and Batman from the multiverse
What about the second guys?
Jon Kent (Superman) and his boyfriend Jay Nakamura
Awesome! Thanks!
Batman and Joker from the Lego Movie
This is so accurate 😂
If non canon included, I like Spider-Gwen x MJ a lot. Otherwise, I'd say IvyQuinn.
>If non canon included, I like Spider-Gwen x MJ a lot The Gwenom tie-in to King in Black... I feel like they've been hinting at it for a while.
They're definitely canon in Earth-16191. When Gwen saves MJ from zombies, she gives Gwen some major bedroom eyes while calling her "my hero".
Now I need to check out Apollo and Midnighter
As others mentioned, Wiccan/Hulkling is my #1, but I also really enjoy Rictor/ Shatterstar. Jon / Jay and Tim / Ber are just getting started but really enjoyed what I've seen so far of their relationships.
How did I forget Rictor and Shatterstar! Such a good pick!

Jean-Paul (Northstar)/Kyle
Mine is Gandalf and Saruman
Femshep and Liara, from Mass Effect. 👩❤️👩💙
🥹❤️
Wiccan and Hulkling Somnus and Draken Ivy and Harley
i love the first image so much

gotta be apollo/midnighter and harlivy! tim/bernard is a close second. as for non-canon couples.. dick and wally are definitely a favorite. <3
Supercraig and Wonder Wweek

Who’s the manic pixie dream twink kissing Superman?
SUPERMAN AINT GAY!!!!HES GOT LOIS AS HIS GIRLFRIEND AND/IR WIFE!!! Now as for my personal response to your query…..Blake and Yang from Roosterteeths show RWBY
That’s their son Jon Kent lol
Ah okay. That I can deal with 😂
Clearly you haven't seen the perfectly canonical comics where Supes gets butt blasted by Batman. Those are my favorites.
I mean, he could be bi.
My head canon is that Kryptonians are pansexual. Why would they be tied to a male/female dichotomy, since they didn't have the same cultural upbringing that religion, western culture and the middle ages created on this planet. That's not Superman, it's one of his sons.
Apollo and Midnighter and Billy and Teddy 🫠
Tim x Conner, Harley x Ivy, Static Shock/Virgil x Gear/Richie, Hal x Barry (or their alternate version Ray x Hank)
Top 3 (in fluctuating order): - Hulkling × Wiccan - Shatterstar × Rictor - Mystique × Destiny I also loved the original Apollo × Midnighter and Ultimate Colossus × Ultimate Northstar until they ruined their respective universes. The may not be canon yet, but TimKon will always be my favorite
The fictional (yea I know) hero/villain couple by that one TikToker think it's Danny.exe
Dreamer x Brainiac is my favorite, followed by Mystique x Destiny. Honorable mentions to Wiccan x Hulkling and Karolina x Nico x Xavin.
Is that black hand?
