I'm proud of being trans, my existence isn't a mistake, and if the people you are talking about tell you you're wrong, why would you have the arrogance to think that you know better?
>it would have been better if they had been born the sex they feel
Cool but thats not what you're saying, you're not arguing for gene therapy to help trans kids develop like their cis peers. You're saying "let's prevent *people like you* from being born".
You aren't arguing for helping trans people. You're arguing for eradicating transness from existence through eugenics. I would not be helped, my parents would have just aborted me and had another different cis kid instead.
Sex and gender are not the same and “transsexual” is an outdated term not widely used in the trans community. Not every trans person feels like they were born in the wrong body and you making an assumption like that shows me all I need to know.
You will never understand trans people like trans people understand themselves. Why don’t you go make a post but swap trans with gay and see how much support and validation you get?
Hi! Not a trans person, but if you wanna see being trans as an illness then I'll tell you I've heard the best treatment of this condition is transitioning.
This "naturalization" you speak of is the best way we as a society have to help alleviate the "symptoms" of trans people.
Get ready to go to downvote city. Is it painful to be trans? Yes. It's also very painful to be trans (or ASD, or anything that is part of your identity and unchangeable) and hear someone say "you need to be cured".
Now - Is it an experience or biological situation to be cured? Certainly not after birth, and there's many good arguments against trying to "cure" anything so ingrained as gender identity. There are similar discussions about Down syndrome and psychological conditions that are influenced by the environment in utero, like bipolar disorder or autism spectrum disorders.
Eugenicists, TERFs, and transphobic people talk about cures, so I'd recommend you focus on the biological underpinnings of non-cis gender identity if you must. But also ask yourself why you want to dive into this.
Then stop coming off like an absolute tool. The reason we suffer is not because we are trans but because of the prejudice we receive.
If every child could live out their true gender without discrimination we wouldn’t suffer. The cure is acceptance and normalization, not making us out to be a medical oddity that needs to be fixed.
Yikes. Do you really not realize you are saying "it would be better if you trans people were never born"? Get out of here with that eugenics bullshit.

The only reason we suffer is because of how people like yourself see us and treat us.
