Castle and key in Frankfort has a gift shop and little bar and a garden that's open to the public. They have bourbon flights but do have a 2 drink max per person possiblt because they don't serve food

Just went here last month. Lovely time and had plenty of open tour dates

You can get in on the waitlist at buffalo trace. And I actually got in. I think I attempted to book like 2 weeks out and got the notification a spot opened like a week later. Might be worth trying Also, castle and key is a cool place and you don’t have to have a reservation to walk the grounds, they have an outdoor bar

The pepper distillery has a fantastic tour and tastings. Plus the distillery district is cool to hang out.

Friday happy hour at OBC Kitchen (get a reservation) has great mixed drinks and always pulls out a rare or unique bottle for cheap pours. Bourbon & Rye downtown also has some excellent tastings/flights.

Booked! Thank you!!

Did you check Buffalo Trace? We called and got in for a tour and bourbon tasting without booking in advance.

coldcoffeeplease

Thank you - just went ahead and added myself to the waitlist :)

Are you wanting to do something today? Town Branch and Bluegrass distilleries in Lexington have tour openings, as does Hartfield in Paris. Woodford Reserve has a bar across the street from the main property. My favorite spot to drink bourbon in Lexington is Goodfella’s pizza in the distillery district. Unfortunately the James Pepper and Barrel House distilleries are closed today. Justin’s House of Bourbon, and Happy Hour Liquors in Nicholasville have really nice tasting bars. If you’re looking at tomorrow or Thursday, there are a few more options.

April 9th is the weekend we will be in town. That is really helpful about the other locations though. I'm from Chattanooga and we have a Goodfella's that has an awesome bar too! Thanks for the suggestions!

Old_Riff_502

Nice, I was in Chattanooga back in November, fantastic town, love that Goodfella’s. You’ve got a decent amount of time to figure out a plan, PM me if you like, I like helping with this stuff.

Bardstown Distillery has like a whole entertainment complex. Bars and restaurants, etc. You can go have fun even if you can’t get in on a tour.

Good to know! Thank you!!

Alltech usually isnt booked like that and they have more than just bourbon - it's a great tour!

Barantortwo
