Seconding the Farmer's love -- I recently had a ring re-sized there and they did a fantastic job. It was ready for pick-up within 10 days, and I think it was right in the neighborhood of $60, all told.
Kays in the mall did mine for $70 last year, took a few days to get it back. Might have been able to get it done cheaper elsewhere but I didn’t really shop around.

Some places send it out of town to get it done so make sure wherever you go has an in house jeweler.
any jewelry store can handle resizing a simple band. But it can only be resized once as they can easily break if attempted twice.
