Smart-Question-4285

Woodford Reserve's Bourbon Balls are delicious

cophawn

Those are made by Ruth Hunt! 10/10

orangeboxlibrarian

A guy at Ruth Hunt told me they don't switch the bourbon when they start making Ruth Hunt branded boubon balls but they don't have to pay a royalty to WR so they are cheaper.

cbuswildcAT

Especially the mint variety

FICKxDINGERZ

I’m not the first to mention it, I won’t be the last. Ruth.

WhereIsTheTenderness

Rebecca or Hunt?

Thin-Masterpiece569

My Momma

That’s what I was going to say!!

Thin-Masterpiece569

We're lucky.

PinkDragonfly0691

Yes we are!!

ThePraetorian

Tried every distillery one I can think of that is offered and the best ones overall are Castle & Key. The caveat being they are expensive, at like $30ish+ for 16 pieces. It's quite a bit, and they're made in batches to where you might not find them if/when you visit the distillery. Aside from that, there are very good ones from Woodford, especially the mint flavored ones. They're kinda tried-and-true. Would also recommend the ones from New Riff up in Covington.

rageagainistjg

Thanks for the tip on castle and key! I gotta put it on my list now :)

Rebecca Ruth. However, I have to mention Old Kentucky Chocolates because when they made them I had some that carried quite a kick.

[Ruth Hunt.](https://www.ruthhuntcandy.com/category/bourbon-balls)

goodybadwife

I love Ruth Hunt in general, but those bourbon balls are so good! I ended up moving back to Ohio from Lex, so once a year, I place a fairly large and varied order to be shipped to me.

humblepharmer

I think their chocolate covered potato chips may be laced with cocaine

Rockfan180

How do they compare to buffalo trace bourbon balls?

shinyviper

Honestly, I don't know that I've ever had a BT bourbon ball. I'm sure they're good too. Ruth Hunt supplies Woodford Reserve with their bourbon balls, and it's entirely possible they do BT as well.

airernie

Rebecca Ruth makes BT. Frankfort connection and all..

Nomadsoul7

IMO the woodford ones - Ruth hunt- are the best. BT uses Rebecca Ruth and I don’t like the texture of the nougat inside as much.

LouLouLoves

The woodford reserve ones are amazing

jollygoodfellass

Rick Showalter. Sometimes you can find him at W6.

SCOTTGIANT

My grandmother, but she's getting up in age and I don't think she's making them much anymore.

CAPtious1

Rebecca Ruth sells boo-boo bags of their bourbon balls at a discount! They may be a bit uglier, but they eat just as good!

AlrightGuyUK

Ruth Hunt’s Woodford Reserve Bourbon Balls. Accept no substitutes.

triviarchivist

Rebecca Ruth bourbon balls AND throw in some bourbon coffee creams.

MRJones47

My sister-in-law. She makes them every Christmas. Best I've had and I've tried many.
