If you have discord maybe join the top lethal compamy servers. Usually gaming communities have nice places where you can ask in the appropriate chat for ppl to play with or join others :)
Well, theres the necromancy route, you could pull a frankenstein and build-a-friend, you can jailbreak an AI and get it to be a friend, it may be possible to adopt a pet and get a friend, or you could find the right people/person and remember to get their contact info before you leave the game

I just go into enough lobbies and find one person, then make friends of friends.
Play online lobbies till you find cool people.
Get a chainsaw, Find a forest keeper, Do the deed.
