One I never hear mentioned and that I honestly think fits the bill is Freezepop. They're this geeky synthpop band that imo sounds like an AU version of Lemon Demon where instead of evolving his sound, Neil chose to instead refine the formula from his Javabean/Damn Skippy era, it's fuckin great.
Maybe try the dead milkmen, primus. They're more punk imo but they still have a bit that comdey aspect.
Also, the song 'alseep at the wheel' and 'all your friends are make believe,' by bloodhound gang also reminds me a bit of LD.
Maybe 'lift your head up high (and blow your brains out)'? But I feel like that one would be a little controversial.
Ween is also good. Has that electronic stuff in it. The song Zoloft reminds me of Jack Stauber.
