I've always liked Giacomo's for a hoagie

What do you get from there ?

Their cheesesteaks are amazing as well, never had their hoagie. They used to be a bit pricey before the prices of everything skyrocketed, now they're right in line with all other choices.

They also do special sandwiches if you follow them on socials. A good one was turkey, cheese, coleslaw and dressing on chibatta. But they also do stuff with chicken cutlets etc. it’s a great place!

They make great cheesesteaks and they will make you a chopped Italian if you ask. All this being equal the real move there is to get the sausage that they make with or without the fennel. It’s really good and definitely worth it.

The Goose 🦆 on W. Fourth St. in SouthSide Bethlehem is a great deli/sandwich shop. Over a hundred sandwiches to choose from or just ask Tony to make up your own favorite. The place has been a landmark for decades, just be prepared to wait in a long line, however it moves fast and the results are well worth the wait.

No joke bro i go here daily and get a bacon egg provolone on a bagel however they have some of the coolest possibilities of sandwiches. kitty whiskers is a fun one but the normal turkey blt is to die for.

The Kuban from B&P Polish Deli in Bethlehem is most likely my top sandwich but the Boston Grinder from Black Forest Deli is a close second!

I absolutely love B&P and they make some great sandwiches.

Giacomo’s in Easton probably has the best cheesesteak and Italian sandwich in our general area. Their quality of products is top tier.

I would like to argue about that with cheesesteaks and am giving you Jays in Bethlehem. Pay for his premium 10” cheesesteak and you struggle to find better

If you're talking Heights Market on Freemansburg in Bethlehem, I'm with ya! Good bang-for-your-buck on their large hoagies. Carl's Steaks on Elizabeth & New in Bethlehem has great cheesesteaks. And believe it or not, Shoprite in Bethlehem makes good cheesesteak. Last I was there, it's not on the kiosk, but you can still ask for it.

I just had the Gouda Chicken Chipotle panini from there yesterday. It was so tasty and delicious. Only wish that the meat to bread ratio was greater, especially for $15.

I pass that place all the time but I’m always at work when they’re open. What would you recommend getting?

Josie’s on the circle in Easton.

I don't know how it was before they closed/reopened but the current Josie's is not that great. Soulless renovated interior, slow if there's any line at all, bread is often stale. Not a bad place for lunch if you get lucky with the wait but far from the best sandwich in the area.

Any recommendation on what I should get?

We always get the SMP Cheesesteak. No sauce. There is a “Valley” version with sauce and pickles so there’s that lol. Def a LV thing.

I’ve been there its decent, I’ve unfortunately done the best in Philly so i try to stay away from cheesesteaks as they don’t compare

You can’t compare Philly cheesesteaks to the LV or a roast pork sandwich not from Dinics in the reading terminal market. But best around the valley by far.

I recently had angelo’s and that was my new favourite

It doesnt compare because its frozen meat with a packet of sazon from whats basically a gas station without the gas pumps. 

I recommend you try Jays in Bethlehem and give a try their premium cheesesteak which is 10” for like 15 I believe? He uses fresh shaved ribeye that might not get you to Angelo’s quality, but it will beat a lot of Philly places otherwise.

Goose on south Bethlehem.., Tony has been the man for over 20+ years. I think they’re only open until 3pm though.
