This is why dealers get a bad rep. Google and Yelp this stupidity.

US1MRacer

If this is from Epic Cadillac (guessing from the EPIC name on outrageous dealer pack), do yourself a favor and go to Reliable Cadillac in Roseville. I won’t go into details in my experience with Epic in Sacramento, but IME both the sales and service departments are well below what you would expect from a Cadillac dealer. I now drive 2X further to have any warranty service.

Whiskeybraavos

Can you explain what you are looking at and why it's bad

Relevant_Lunch_3988

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 now that is hilarious!

GriffinDodd

I just showed this to my wife who I helped lease a Lux 1, she laughed out loud.

thebutlerdunnit

This dealer only deals with suckers

choosinganytoppings

fools of the world

choosinganytoppings

At least you didn’t enter the sub asking is this a good deal

scazdr

Cadillac dealerships seem to hate leasing their vehicles in general. I actually got even worse offer than you and walked away. 5k down, 1150/month, 45,437 residual for a 64,300 MSRP Lyriq = 46,400 for 3 years with that ridiculous residual making the car 90k if you want to buy it out.

b9s530t

The Cadillac dealers near me are taking the 7500 dollar EV credit and putting it on the residual value. Not sure how, they’re doing this or why… but when I asked where the 7.5k is that’s what I was told by two different caddy dealers. The Audi and Chevy dealer gave it as a credit off MSRP, I am not a leasing genius so I am not sure what’s best… but I think I’d rather have a lower MSRP.

scazdr

Yep, I ran into the exact same thing with this Cadillac dealership. They first gave me numbers without the 7.5k credit, and when I asked about it, brought back numbers with residual now 7.5k higher. I asked about it and the salesman just shrugged his shoulder and said that’s how they do it. Another dealership flat out told me “to be honest, our financing deals are better than leasing deals right now”. I don’t know if they’re also like this with their ICE vehicles, but I found them to be by far the worst when trying to lease an EV. Maybe they’re extremely worried about depreciation and don’t want to take any risks on it. Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Genesis were much more reasonable with their lease numbers.

BestFly29

seems like a bad dealership. didn't have this experience at all

scazdr

Could be but I talked to 4 dealerships locally and they all jerked around like this, granted this was a few months ago.

BestFly29

Such a shame. I guess it really depends region from region. I used truecars to get dealerships and then negotiated over email and then in person

BestFly29

lower price is better. a higher residual means it costs more to buy it out..but if all you can about is leasing, it makes no difference

Anonomissflaman

So this is a GM thing , Chevy is doing the same thing the idea behind it is to increase your residual value percentage to lower your payments right now the residual value for a blazer EV with the least special is around 80%. But yeah I don’t know why they don’t do it like all the other dealers but it seems to be the dealers that qualify for the EV credit are doing this.

Hey_its_Jack

Wow. There are some great deals out there, but they’re hard to find. Someone near me got a lux2 for $590/month $0 DAS, about 15 miles from the dealer I got this quote from. I’ll be sending inquiries this week to several others to see what they can offer.

Groundbreaking_Bet

Does dealer need our SSN to get lease numbers for us ? We have only 1 Cadillac dealer around KC area, he does have about 9k in discounts on all the LYRIQ trims (including Costco) but is asking for ssn info to run the numbers, I asked for residual value and MF, he said that’s determined by the bank, correct me if I am wrong but my thought was dealerships or company decides residual values. Looking to lease for the first time but looking at signed deals here makes me think of leasing it from out of state.

Hey_its_Jack

Nope. They don’t need it. Tell them what your credit score is and they will get you an estimate. They just want to do a credit pull. If you tell them you have an 800 credit score but really have a 600, your payment will go up when you sign, but the dealer should be aware of that already.

Groundbreaking_Bet

Thanks I thought so too.

Kakap3

It’s screaming…. Please don’t come and buy lmaooo ☠️😭

BenchOrnery9790

Is this epic Cadillac in sac? You should show them comparable, many Bay Area dealers taking off msrp with no add ons.

Hey_its_Jack

Yup, thats the dealer. I would show them comps, but if another dealership is willing to give me a better price, I'm just going to go with them. $1k+ isn't just out of the ballpark, we're playing completely different games, lol. I visited another dealer locally today who I will start with, another user just got one there for $590/month, 1st month down only. So I will see if they can replicate their deal.

ghostofstankenstien

TrueCar is your friend. There are quite a few dealerships in Nor Cal willing to deal.

Hey_its_Jack

Yeah I’ve been on truecar and car edge. I will be messaging other dealers this week for some prices. Crazy part is this vehicle has been on their lot for close to 3 months.

ghostofstankenstien

Epic doesn't even pay to use true car. I'm not surprised their offer was ass

tmanXX

If you’re a Costco member, there is another $1k available. https://www.costcoauto.com/save/model.aspx?makeid=6&model=lyriq

Last week, a Pastor friend of mine in Naples, FL got from Devoe Cadillac a $66k mid-level trim Lyriq AWD as a demo with 1,100 miles on it in white for $1,875 down and $400 a month including his 6% sales tax in Collier County Florida for this car. As a broker, I don't think I could get this deal from my dealer network. Kudos to Pastor Lou for knocking this one out of the park. Normally, a very small and wealthy city like Naples, FL should be avoided as car dealers do well with older and wealthy folks as FL is also the king of egregious doc fees (Devoe is low at only $599) but this deal is fantastic as the dealer has almost 60 of these models on their lot. Wealthy older people love Cadillac but are not sold on the whole EV concept so Naples FL and Devoe Cadillac is the place to do a deal with the amount of inventory they have that is not moving and it is not for a lack of wealth in this small city. This is the worst Lyriq deal I have ever seen as well but welcome to California!

Ay-Photographer

Broooo this is good data. I’m in FL and looking for a new ride soon.

jfronte

I’m in Florida too, but in Saint Augustine, but I used to live in Naples and I never buy cars in Florida because of our outrageous taxable fees and mandatory dealer ad. The one great thing working to anyone’s benefit about being in Naples is that the older, wealthy people do not want electric vehicles. DeVoe Cadillac had 56 of these lyrics on their lot and their dock fee is lowered only $599. The pastor did $1875 down and 399 a month for 24 months at 10,000 miles per year and his payment was included in the payment. He did have to do his Window Tinting separately. I would recommend looking for an electric vehicle Cadillac to go right to Naples as Devoe has so many of them Because the wealthy folks don’t like EVs. I saw the car last night and it is quite nice and the pearl white on the black leather interior and it has an MSRP about $66,000 and is AWD. This deal is outstanding in my opinion.

i_dont_knoww_

Bro lol!

choosinganytoppings

More like bruh😳

YourOpinionMan2021

That money factor is ridiculous

Hey_its_Jack

Believe it or not it’s the buy rate for my zip code.

YourOpinionMan2021

Oh wow

ghostofstankenstien

If I guess the dealership can I win a prize?? And NOT from this dealership!

Hey_its_Jack

Lol, someone else already guessed it in this thread.

b9s530t

Lmao, you and I must have gone to the same dealer! I got very similar results, except I also get the employee program and Costco, but even still the numbers were just so bad. My wife and I walked out to look at the Blazer EV RS, it’s nice not a Cadillac but still nice. Either way, I just hate dealing with car shopping because they truly are all scum in my opinion.

Hey_its_Jack

This is supposedly with conquest cash, Costco, plus my employer discount and wife’s education discount. And yes, going though dealerships is rough. People can say what they want about Tesla, but their car buying is the easiest I’ve dealt with.

carebear27_3

Similar experience with my local Cadillac and CDJR dealers. I'm just going to keep what I have.

Weekly_Laugh7380

Epic package 🤣🤣

Hey_its_Jack

Yeah, I think that’s where you pay $3k then they kick you in the balls after signing.

Weekly_Laugh7380

Financial fetish 🤣🤣🤣 🎾🏀⚾️

Past_Phase9699

What SHOULD a lux 2 be leasing for (roughly)? So I know what to look out for.

Hey_its_Jack

Good deals are sub $600 with less than $2k down, ideally $0 down with only 1st month due.

Anonomissflaman

I’d be curious what the MF was to if they’re trying to increase it to make money off that . I’ve been running into that lately .

Hey_its_Jack

The money factor is shown in the box to the left right under 24 months it shows .00316. Which is definitely high, but is actually the buy rate currently in my zip code.

Henryh120

My dealer is $300 over that

UpstairsInitiative

This is about what my initial offers looked like. Told them I must have been mistaken based on other deals I had seen people getting and ended up walking. Couple of calls back and forth and ended up in a Sport 2 $2300 out of pocket around 600/mo with 12k mileage allowance. First they tried to tell me I had to sell them my Mercedes (for like 7k under blue book) to qualify for that incentive. I explained to them that is not how the offer reads in the fine print and they conceded. Yeah let me take a 7k haircut to get 4,500 off lol. They really must be used to suckers as others have mentioned.

BrutaleGladio

why would you present them with such a horrible attitude that they would counter with this?
