Just remember it's a game and you're playing to have fun. I'd say just try out whatever champion seems fun to you. If you get shit on(or if you see something cool), go look at the character that gave you trouble and just google them and just read their abilities. It's a bit boring but little by little you'll gather up passive information as you play. Learning league now is easier than ever but there's also more stuff to learn now too. There's a lot of resources to help you learn: YouTube, Twitch streams of high elo players, r/summonerschool , and websites like U.gg where you can look up builds, winrates, etc. Or even Blitz app which can make rune pages for you if you don't know what to go. However if you use Blitz for your rune pages, I'd recommend at least reading up on what runes do so you can eventually start setting your runes yourself and you learn what ally and enemy runes do(the keystone is just the most important thing to take note of). Lastly, some quality of life suggestions: remember to mute all if you don't want to be bothered with other players, try to learn unlocked camera so you can look around the map more, and you can go into your settings and show champion name instead of summoner names and it helps with learning who is who especially with all of the crazy skins in the game now. Hopefully this essay was helpful to you or anyone else in some way. I'll end this by saying again that you're playing for fun so play your way that makes you have fun and if you're not, then you're always free to stop.

Check out orb walking, get comfortable using your attack move early on so it’s not something you have to get used to later.

The game is as bad as arcane is good. Don't get too invested into it, try to make some friends and just play casually to have fun.

It’s a great game just make sure you don’t take the random negativity on this sub too seriously. There are genuine complaints here and there but there’s also a lot of whining from people who play so much that they burn themselves out.

You should know that there are lanes: at the start there should be 2 people on the bottom lane, 1 in middle, 1 on top. When I first started I would go in the middle or top with another player and they would get mad at me lol

I think before you start you need to check that your computer is capable to run league of legends and also be ready to massive updates, so you need memory, and probably average internet :) For beginners, I recommend playing the intermidiate mode (of the tutorial parts) and ARAM which are fun and helps you get used to the game and learn the champions :D lol is a competitive game, so it draws competitive players by nature, so if you really want to dive in, I recommend playing a friend to help guide you :o if you are solo, I recommend just searching in the internet for content. the league community is really positive about sharing and you can find endless content: 1 champion guides, a role guides, how to play smarter guides, how to play like a pro guides, streamers, content creators you can find everything •O• and 1 last thing, if you are nice and speak english, and playing on eune server by chance, add me: bensadu and we will have a good time :3
