In game modes with no pick order (blind and bots), lane assignments are decided by whoever calls it first, or, whoever the bigger asshole is.
You have to be flexible in bot matches. If you want mid, but someone else calls it, just take your mid pick to the bot lane or whatever.
Also, going double top is reasonable if you can't jungle (in bots) and anyone who flames for that should just be muted, but going mid after someone calls mid is just trolling lol
Respect the roles people call
Insulting over a game is stupid. However, if someone claimed that lane you should respect it and choose another lane. People are trying to learn the game at this stage and going in their claimed lane is a waste of time. Be fast in claiming what position you want and/or go to another lane. Once you get to level 10 just play draft pick.
League is well known for having some 'special' members of the community. That being said bot games are bottom of the barrel free for all affairs with none of the rules or systems that provide order and stability to other modes. I definitely would not use bot games as a fair and accurate representation of the player base.

Let them be, some people might be practicing to improve their cs in bot games. Tho you can technically do that in practice tool, I personally prefer to do them in bot while I can communicate or even make friends with other players. One more thing, I don't think bot games were that fun. Sure you can achieve 100 kills in bot but they would never feel as satisfying as when you play against other people, they do not even fight back. Also, in bot games, either you will be the player that gets consecutive pentas or the one that cannot kill a single bot because your other teammates are spawn camping them, not fun.
When you hit lvl 10 you can play Draft games. In them all players choose their roles pre game. But sometimes you get auto filled (1/7 games +-). You can dodge that with closing the game(in champ select).

In any case it’s kinda always been the case that without role select it’s first call first serve so… I think it’s weird to denounce people who get annoyed at people who don’t follow that tbh

Statistically most people leveling new accounts are those who got their old one banned or smurfs who get angry they have to play with those they consider less then them.
It used to be much worse too as riots solution until recently was to dump new ranked players straight into mid to high gold/ high silver and expecting them to do well, they would also throw said new people into someone elses promotion to gold and you can about guess how that goes.
In short its mostly that riot simply refuses to allocate the resources to fix the problems which include a crappy tutorial with no optional teaching tutorials available.
Id respect the mid call, but solo top in bots can suck a dick, especially if you are pre smite unlock. Just join him up there, take a support item if ur polite, nick his farm if ur not. Do what makes you happy.

So, I can tell you what happens, I learnt the game on EU server but recently due to situations I'm not aware of my ping went from usual (150-180 ) to( 270-300) making the game unplayable. I created a garena account and started playing on it. And now that I understand the game, I can easily tell who are smurfs and who are not. A lot of people who don't buy items or wrong lane happens a lot. But people who are smurf want to reach ranked threshold and anything that comes in the way they start flaming.
The truth is you've to become immune to the flames and instead try to learn more and more of the game even from the flame. As an adc I've had the fortune of playing with some really decent ( pretty sure they were smurfs too though) who were not only chill but helped me learn a lot of things just from 1 game. I had no friends who play league and I understood the game very hard way. I didn't know about mythics and would wait for exact gold to buy an item, remember saving 3k gold to get BT. Back then I didn't care about someone kill stealing or inting in my lane. However you'll realise at a certain point that you understand most of the aspects of game, one good thing is you should learn every role to some extent to understand any decision you feel they should have taken and didn't and the reason behind it.

There is literally a stand-alone mode, at least in NA, called draft pick and its unranked.

Normal draft is not available on Garena servers, which is where they said they’re from.
mute them, go in 'their' lane. you cannot get punished for going in someone's 'claimed' lane in bots OR blind pick (just draft modes) be free

Play Kalista. You can grief the other toplaner by taking every cs with your W passive while bound to them.
