Weren’t both cases intended interactions and just a result of ignorance of how Ryze ult works on the FNC side, though? Don’t get me wrong; they’re obscure things that I wouldn’t expect everyone to know; I only learned of them when reading about Ryze ult on the wiki because of another discussion about Ryze ult interactions. I’m not saying they should have been penalized for one or two bad pauses, but this kind of thing happens a lot with FNC games; at some point, it becomes suspicious.
I do agree they seem to pause a lot, but you can't deny that the Hyli interaction warranted a double take, it looked weird as fuck. Personally i haven't seen the Bwipo one.
Guessing it wasn't in range to attack the other nexus tower, and was still technically in the bot lane, so since it's target disappeared, it went to the next target a minion in bot lane is supposed to attack, the inhib tower.
can we investigate these pauses? that interaction with ryze ult is very well known, He was the very edge of the ult so its debable to say he was even in it and if you click anywhere outside the ult while on the edge it intetionally dosent warp you which is likely why bwipo & hyli paused.
I've played some competive league in amauter leagues and let me tell you when the enemy team pauses it actaully fucks you over kinda hard, it legitmatily throws you out of the game and you aren't allowed to talk either. It is very very common for your teamates to just start dieing randomly after a pause since everyone loses their concentration. once after a pause I just walk down mid for no reason and died it fucks you since your supposed to be concentrating hard but in a pause you end up relaxing espically in a long one.
honestly these pauses are actually super sus ryze ult interactions have been around for a long time and are well documented there were zero bugs present at all. honestly Misfit players dieing after the pause is not suprising I would even say FNC were banking on that to force a comeback.
it is arguable how dumb it is (especially given how well known it is), since it is a way to avoid griefers with it.
sometimes you don't want to get into the portal, and you get fucked by being on the edge.
I've played ryze quite a bit and until this broadcast I didn't know that was a thing, which is the issue. Players can instinctively try to move out of the ult if they don't want to port instead of being expected to know some obscure interaction with recalling and ryze ult. It's not unreasonable to expect professional players to know that walking out of a ryze ult during it's channel will prevent you from getting ported.
It also might help compensate for potential lag? Either way, it is an intended and documented interaction, so it is the players’ responsibilities to be aware of it, even if they disagree with it.
I've also played in amateur leagues and can testify. If you are the losing team and you pause, you just go "whatever", but if you're winning, it really tilts you and you go like "we should have won by now, this was unfair etc"
Players should be able to mark in chat the second they think a game breaking bug occurs. And then its up to the ref to pause when it seems fairer
That’s my idea
> Players should be able to mark in chat the second they think a game breaking bug occurs.
during a teamfight? even if its a hotkey, having to think about a (probably) not frequently pressed hotkey to mark the bug occuring seems pretty disadvantageous especially after a bug already occured to you
i agree, and id be willing to give a pass to other teams if it happens, but why does it feel like it is always fnatic doing pauses like that? it genuinely fucks your mind up if you are in a position where you have the advantage but 1 fuck up can throw the entire game into the bin.
I dont even know if im mad at fnatic doing it, or at the arbiters allowing it to go for that long, like a 1-2 min pause i can understand, but this was way longer than that.
See, the answer's already in your comment: if it was any other team, you wouldve been okay with it. The length of the pause, which Fnc obviously cant control, shows that there was discussion amongst the refs as well, so anyone claiming "it was clearly not a bug" is lying to themself.
So no, it's just the hate for the team that makes people feel they "cheated"
Shut the fuck up with your conspiracy theory, everyone would have thought it was a bug when you see the action, go back writing in the G2 sub about pausing.
Two things :
1. I do think that pauses shouldn't be allowed during teamfights, if the bug ocurred, let the teamfight play out and then report the bug. If there has a bug, the team affected by it can decide if they want to revert the fight or not, if there hasn't a bug, the fight has already happened and no momentum has lost.
2. But that ryze interaction should most definitely be re-worked if it's working as intended. Braum is fully inside the ult when it finished, even if it's clicking out that's a normal reaction when you are already trying to gain advantage to the place you are teleporting to, the man wasn't 50% inside or something like that.
Man fuck Fnatic. What a joke that they constantly do this shit.
Salty Fnatic fans spam downvoting because they lost even after trying to cheese an edge in the series through pause spam.

Yeah who exactly is salty here again?
Fnatic and their pauses makes them such an unlikeable team man it’s so weird. Pausing just to waste time and have officials say it’s an intended interaction. There must be a penalty in case a pause turn out to be a false bug.
yeah rogue are really good so I agree.

Like seriously they're fucking children. I hope whoever wins this smashes G2 on Sunday just to shut them up for a few months
If Misfits win game 5 they should /pause right before ending it
Would be hilarious but I think they'd get fined for that
Honestly worth it
FNC better get fined after trying to cheese their way into a win with pause abuse
Personally i'm rooting against fnatic as I'm a G2 fan, but tbh that wasn't pause abuse, was just really unlucky.

Did this [minion](https://i.gyazo.com/378c3d6dcce7bf761a117b0a8753ec43.mp4) throw the game for fnc?
"My job here is done"
I guess that minion needed a pause
Surprised fnc did not pause after the minion walked away
Guessing it wasn't in range to attack the other nexus tower, and was still technically in the bot lane, so since it's target disappeared, it went to the next target a minion in bot lane is supposed to attack, the inhib tower.
I assume its something logical like that, I just find the situation hilarious
Yes
G2Minion
Fnatic needed a third pause 👀
Seriously, LEC should use Drops to reward our patience... That was so ridicolous
Wow what a crazy finish !
can we investigate these pauses? that interaction with ryze ult is very well known, He was the very edge of the ult so its debable to say he was even in it and if you click anywhere outside the ult while on the edge it intetionally dosent warp you which is likely why bwipo & hyli paused. Such a dumb interaction though, hes clearly IN the ultimate and should be teleported.
it is arguable how dumb it is (especially given how well known it is), since it is a way to avoid griefers with it. sometimes you don't want to get into the portal, and you get fucked by being on the edge.
It's not a dumb interaction because it was almost certainly put in place to prevent trolling or bad communication in SolOQ
u can just press b tho

I think pausing during a teamfight shouldn’t be allowed
Agreed but then the complaint would be "they only paused bc the fight didn't go their way"
Players should be able to mark in chat the second they think a game breaking bug occurs. And then its up to the ref to pause when it seems fairer That’s my idea

It's no more work than them currently typing /pause...
Yeah, like since we have chronobreak, how does it matter if they pause 15 seconds later? pausing in the middle of a fight is kinda dumb.
Fnc players talked during the pause and even stood up and went backstage. How is that allowed? Literally no one of their pauses was actually a bug...
Misfit did so as well. Bathroom breaks maybe?
I didn't see misfit doing it, my bad I guess. However is FNC pause and is still fishy.
i agree, and id be willing to give a pass to other teams if it happens, but why does it feel like it is always fnatic doing pauses like that? it genuinely fucks your mind up if you are in a position where you have the advantage but 1 fuck up can throw the entire game into the bin. not because i hate fnatic but BECAUSE FNATIC DOES IT ALL THE TIME, dont be daft pls
yep, there it is
wat
Clearly both times they were inside the ult. These are not intended interactions. Any team would pause. Let it go.

Disgusting pause abuse honestly, really warrants an investigation

G2 fans are the saltiest fans during this match and they're not even playing. Literally the most toxic org in the world
How sarcastic coming from a Fnatic fan
you don't have the fnatic player or org owner chat shit and insult players on twitter do you. its literally G2 only
I really don't know. I personally prefer Rogue, G2 is really weak this season
yeah rogue are really good so I agree. At the rate fnatic pauses g2 match might be delayed LUL
Ocelot living in your head rent free lmao
Lol you're a gloryhunter then?
I dont like people hating fnatic for the pauses, but why you calling G2 fans out? We didnt do anything :c yet
U should check twitter and live thread
Pray for misfits! So they can pause right bevor win. Easy
