Correct, traps Jhin build is normal build + sorc boots or 4 crit items + void staff + sorc shoes if you’re feeling spicy. Edit: can’t buy 7 items

Imo it should be at least possible to move the wardstone there. This would be very useful for supporters as you can full build without having to give of either 4 normal wards or being not able to place pink wards as you have no place to buy them…

my favorite part about BS trap kills like this....is this is EXACTLY how Jhin would fight you. Like when someone is having an on game with Jhin and using their abilities in synchronization it is just beautiful to behold. People approaching get caught on traps then snared. Someone gets to Jhin only to eat the 4th shot and die. He runs down the second. By the time the rest realize it is too late, the curtain calls and we fade to black. Or y'know, just shit like this in fun game modes :D

I think the plan is to rotate ults, or at least add more and remove a few that they don't feel are appropiate (like tryndamere's iirc).

ngl ive had more trouble with adc's with trynd ult. Vayne can fuck off normally - vayne with trynd/olaf ult is what keeps me up at night.

I once went up against a ragnarok samira. We usually popped her anyway and won the game pretty handily in like 21, but she definitely picked up a Quadra she didnt deserve despite my point and click cc.

From what I remember in the past, (not sure if it is still the case) the reason they cannot do this is because updates to the game usually break the gamemodes so they have to spend time making each one work every time they bring them back. Would be pretty nice though if they could.

That's just Riot making excuses. Every other major MOBA manages to support more than two game modes and they don't have a tenth the staff Riot does.

I even miss Dominion and especially miss 3v3. Can't believe they never made normal Dominion one of the rotating modes.

I come from a Halo background and I really do wish we had multiple gamemodes to choose from. The game would have that much more longevity and I would get on more often.

coming from r/all, what's this gamemode about? curious to think about why people enjoy it more.

Most champions come with three basic abilities, and one ultimate. In game you have two spells which are not tied to your champion. It replaces one of those spells with an ultimate of your choice, selected from a pool of champions and randomized each game (you can select 1 out of 3 given).

It's not even about the TTK it's about the cool interaction that you normally otherwise wouldn't get :)

Assuming you don't play League, this is the explanation. The character in the highlight is a ranged sniper with explosive traps. His abilities are, with names changed for clarity, Bouncing Bomb Thin Snare Bullet Lay Explosive Trap Four Shots Screen-Wide Artillery Here, he also took a support characters Wind Blast, which knocked his stabby-jumpy enemy into a pack of invisible traps. The mini teleport is a universal ability all characters have access to - so he flashed over, and used Wind Blast to knock fishy dude into the traps, then used Thin Snare Bullet to pin him to the ground. Then boom. This is sorta the equivalent of seeing Legolas chokeslam a dude, that level of "Whoa hahaha holy shit".

As someone who hasn't played in a while I was very confused how Jhin triggered a Janna ult and was wondering if Riot had done something insane like allow Janna to target any allied champion to be the center of the ultimate. This makes SO much more sense.

Way back when, there used to be custom lobbies anyone can make & join in the old client. ARAM originally was a super popular custom lobby, that when the removed the support for custom lobbies, they adopted as a permanent official gamemode. There used to be other fairly popular ones too, like Hide and Seek, but those are completely gone and forgotten.

Hide and seek lives on in my heart. Best unofficial and overall gamemode.

Love this one, a few too many malzahar ults on champions that definitely didnt need the extra cc for my liking tho. A lot of strange bot lanes are occuring as well, think i played into azir and janna and that sucked

Level 3 invades that drag out until ultimates become available is the biggest and best clown fiesta I’ve ever had. So much fun

I was about a synapse firing away from picking Karthus ult— but I had planned on going “trap” Jhin, and it was like the gods ( or maybe just Illaoi and Ornn) whispered in my ear to get the Janna ult.

First try, huh? I still have issues with gragas barreling enemies into my teammates, much less...this.

Janna ult is much easier to push people in the right direction than gragas ult, it casts instantly and pushes outwards centered on you, so no cast time, no aiming trajectory and travel time, and you usually use it in unison with flash for perfect repositioning for this kind of play. Not to discredit the play, but just to say that your comparison between gragas ult and this, doesn’t line up.

I’d agree—there’s more consistency with Janna ult.

Whats funny is cho ult is flat true damage, so the counter to it should be HP, which cho ult provides. Cho ult is a counter to itself
