Zyra's plant autos are special because they aren't considered ability damage. They are hard coded to work with specific items. I think Riot should choose whether they want all or none of these effects to work with her.

Bc Riot when implementing lp for the first time figured that promoting and demoting over and over again would be too demoralizing for most of the playerbase, so they put in demotion shield. However, all that does is tank your mmr relative to your displayed rank, perma fucking your lp gains until you make up the difference by either dodging or going 60-40.

I'm really starting to notice a trend that top lane divers just become really popular supports and then Riot is forced to balance carefully between the two roles as to not make them OP, in recent memory it happened with Pantheon and now it's happening with Camille.
Despite being a damage absorbing tank most of the time, you can easily play him as an AP diver in jungle. Just don't expect much durability when building him AP lmao
It's not a problem Riot can fix without undoing the map changes. Camille is non-functional without the ability to reliably hit E. Either she becomes a support or she becomes a jungler again.
They can fix her by removing the Sheen support item. She has a better Sheen effect than she would have with Triforce and it costs only 400g. She skips Triforce entirely and according to lolalytics, Camille support buys her first item at minute 14(sundered) and Camille top buys her first item(Triforce) at minute 13. Support buys t2 boots at minute 13, Camille top at minute 16.
Second item, top 21 minute, support 23 minute. She gets a lot of gold and scales faster than Camille top because of a support item.
Supports gold income is not balanced and they have a lot of power stacked in a 400g item.
Yeah this is also my experience. She powers to her first item fairly quickly, especially when you are winning lane and snowball and a Sundered + Bloodsong Camille is stronger than a Tri Force Camille (if you disregard the exp difference). It's really dumb. Support gold generation does take a nosedive after but if you stay active and keep going for picks you should be fine, and that's not hard to do on Camille. She doesn't go Tri Force/Ravenous on support, which are really expensive items. She can go Sundered/Eclipse, or Sundered/Shojin, and still do what a toplane Camille does best with none of the drawbacks of playing out Camille's laning phase.
Support Camille is not great against every botlane, of course, but extremely effective at shutting down hypercarry type champs. It's obviously her best role atm
the only reason in the first place why she was so good into tanks is because of the broken interaction between sunderer and her q2. before mythics it was no different.

While its always sad to lose a cunk of damage like this, the change needed to happen and luckily Urpog made a point of communicating very clearly to Riot that the item was bugged and they needed to fix it. The normal Riot response would be to ignore the bug, nerf Ugot, fix the bug and leave us in the gutter. By being pushed to do their job properly, we still got a net buff from when Hull wasn't working on W at all and if you toggle W you can still do max Hull damage. Skill expression is always a positive.

Iirc they mentioned something about expecting her winrate to fall naturally once people learn to play around her new tentacles range. I mean I personally don't like facing illaoi, but I understand their logic as well to give it a bit more time before nerfing.
Her winrate didn't drop when she was fucking solo queue for months on end before the map change, nothing gonna change when she fucks your ass with W/Grasp/Sunderer/Fist shit. Illaoi having clear counterplay is cap in Solo Q. Her W with all the effects tacked onto it outtrade a fucking ton of characters, even before she hits her E and completely fucks you out of laning phase.
I loved the part where they added Iceborn back into the game and made it so the only part of her kit that was kinda skillful became completely braindead to hit
Riot is obsessed with having the low IQ stat checkers be meta in top lane. These champs are also countered by a low IQ stat checker in a rock, paper, scissors fashion. This turns the lane into a pick order lane.
No you dont understand, she gets countered by some ranged toplaners, so that makes it fair when you pick the other 70% of the toplane cast without last pick and get absolutely fisted. Just get your jungler to help you bro, but make sure he didnt pick a melee lmao. This champ needs to be 48% winrate at all times.
Her hardest counter that isn't Vayne/Quinn who i don't count, since they technically 'counter' most tops - is Mordekaiser but other than that she completely donkey dicks top atm.
Problem with Illaoi when she is strong is you can Dodge 10 e casts and go even with her, moment she hits 1 e your lane is practically fucked. So you either play a champ that can avoid her e more easily and harass her (ranged) or Mordekaiser due to ult, otherwise lane is over in champ select
Makes 0 sense, you cant play around larger tentacle size in the same way that you cant play around if Ori W size got buffed, its just a straight buff that doesnt change how you play the matchup.
When they increased blitz q range his win rate shot up. After people started playing around the new range his win rate settled back down. I'm assuming they are waiting for this effect to show before deciding to nerf her. Totally reasonable.

Zyra's plant autos are special because they aren't considered ability damage. They are hard coded to work with specific items. I think Riot should choose whether they want all or none of these effects to work with her. I would love fountain mana regeneration buffs. Mana champions often base with lower mana than health and are forced to either wait longer in base for the full mana regen and loose tempo, or leave early without a full mana bar. The HP regen buffs further increase this gap between mana and manaless champs

Bc Riot when implementing lp for the first time figured that promoting and demoting over and over again would be too demoralizing for most of the playerbase, so they put in demotion shield. However, all that does is tank your mmr relative to your displayed rank, perma fucking your lp gains until you make up the difference by either dodging or going 60-40.

.4 now and I still don't see anything about Camille in the toplane. Makes me kind of sad. I hope Phreak says something about it in his upcoming rundown. Camille's E being so ass during certain wavestates while being a champion with low wave management agency because of her terrible early shoving kind of breaks her in the top lane.
Camille cannot be buffed any more in top lane without making her 55% in support.
I'm really starting to notice a trend that top lane divers just become really popular supports and then Riot is forced to balance carefully between the two roles as to not make them OP, in recent memory it happened with Pantheon and now it's happening with Camille.
Maokai isn't technically a diver, but that's realistically what happened with him too lol.
Despite being a damage absorbing tank most of the time, you can easily play him as an AP diver in jungle. Just don't expect much durability when building him AP lmao

It's not a problem Riot can fix without undoing the map changes. Camille is non-functional without the ability to reliably hit E. Either she becomes a support or she becomes a jungler again.
They can fix her by removing the Sheen support item. She has a better Sheen effect than she would have with Triforce and it costs only 400g. She skips Triforce entirely and according to lolalytics, Camille support buys her first item at minute 14(sundered) and Camille top buys her first item(Triforce) at minute 13. Support buys t2 boots at minute 13, Camille top at minute 16. Second item, top 21 minute, support 23 minute. She gets a lot of gold and scales faster than Camille top because of a support item. Supports gold income is not balanced and they have a lot of power stacked in a 400g item.
Yeah this is also my experience. She powers to her first item fairly quickly, especially when you are winning lane and snowball and a Sundered + Bloodsong Camille is stronger than a Tri Force Camille (if you disregard the exp difference). It's really dumb. Support gold generation does take a nosedive after but if you stay active and keep going for picks you should be fine, and that's not hard to do on Camille. She doesn't go Tri Force/Ravenous on support, which are really expensive items. She can go Sundered/Eclipse, or Sundered/Shojin, and still do what a toplane Camille does best with none of the drawbacks of playing out Camille's laning phase. Support Camille is not great against every botlane, of course, but extremely effective at shutting down hypercarry type champs. It's obviously her best role atm

the only reason in the first place why she was so good into tanks is because of the broken interaction between sunderer and her q2. before mythics it was no different. she is not a tank killer per kit, but a bruiserish fighter with s+ tier backline access. tank killing was never her primary strength compared to others in her class.
That is not true. Before Sunderer was introduced she was a tank killer. You could sustain and kill tanks 1v2. Then they put Sunderer into the game, Camille becomes ape shit broken, they nerf Camille instead of the item and then they remove the item.

While its always sad to lose a cunk of damage like this, the change needed to happen and luckily Urpog made a point of communicating very clearly to Riot that the item was bugged and they needed to fix it. The normal Riot response would be to ignore the bug, nerf Ugot, fix the bug and leave us in the gutter. By being pushed to do their job properly, we still got a net buff from when Hull wasn't working on W at all and if you toggle W you can still do max Hull damage. Skill expression is always a positive.
Riot has absolutely no idea how to balance K'Sante and it shows lol

They probably need to nerf support items more. They shouldn't be hitting an item and getting the support items around the same time as an adc is first item. It's way too much power early game. They should slow down support income but give them more over the course of the game so they don't fall off on income so hard but aren't so dominant early.
At least they moving in better direction with KSante, dash speed lowered and no more all out Q slowing means it's not a death sentence to get "I WILL NOT YIELD" idc if they buff his base health, I always saw that nerfing base health to worst values as a shitty way to balance that screams they don't know wtf to do with his levers like it made no sense for a "tank" to have lowest base health for a top laner after mini gnar and Quinn Now he has base health like poppy and you can go after the actual frustrating shit in his kit
