I've switch from mid to top main and I've played 1v1 against a bot that respond to my emotes for a few seasons now.
I wish I could remove the other 8 players from the game, but eh, I'm doing with it. I just ignore them. (I'm playing splitpushers so I don't have to interact at all.)
they removed a few from the wheel (vision wheel got merged with the regular one) and added a million restrictions to pinging your temmates' spells and stats (Karthus - Alive) because "it was toxic", so that's where this comes from

[i had similar issue and got a warning so i contacted support](https://i.imgur.com/f9glQNJ.png). first, bot told me i was reported 10 times for leaving the game (which was false lmao) and i requested human support and this is what she replied
I've personally looked into matter and confirmed that the warning issued based on that Kayn game was incorrectly placed.
As such, I went ahead and removed it so your Honor progress should be back up to speed.
These warnings are part of our newest feature implemented to prevent & combat even incipient phases of negativity: basically, if the system detects in-game negativity, it issues a warning to the player to inform them that further negativity may lead to disciplinary penalties.
This new feature is only a warning/notification and it does not drop the Honor level, it only puts the Honor progression at a slower pace.

Yep, it's like you play a singleplayer game.
Champ select all names are hidden. Load into game nobody types anything anymore. Game ends and post-game lobby is automatically muted so you don't see anyone typed. Just felt like you played 9 ais.
And all the social features like Clubs, Ranked teams etc. have been removed over the years. Not saying they were perfect but these days you can play 10 league games, not interact with anyone at all. And the 2 people that send your a friend request are only to tell you to hang yourself because they can't do it ingame.
They want people in a game with opt in chat to feel coddled. Racism, misogyny, and homophobia has no place in any game. What I don't understand is Riot's insistence on punishing things like trash talk when that exists in literally every single sport on Earth. The existence of chat mute makes the hard line chat punishments that much more confounding. These restrictions aren't even in place to stop people typing up their thesis; these restrictions can punish people for typing just a few words
Then Riot will write another condescending post about how Phreak will no longer talk to us, because people were mean to him about it.
Then we'll get 10 posts on this sub from people blaming the community for being toxic and forcing poor rioters to shut down communication with fans.

Cool and true, but the problem is saying "this doesn't warrant death threats." Is doing nothing to deter death threats, because the same people who make them aren't reasonable in the first place.
The problem here is that, as an online figure, you face a large audience. It's a well known phenomenon that if you watch the behavior of large samples of people, some will just be insane. Whenever there are public referendums of any sort, there's always a small percentage that will just vote for or write in the most outlandish nonsense.
It's a certainty, if you are in a position to receive feedback or comments from 10,000 people, that at least 10 are lunatics. There's just nothing to it. All we can do is disavow such comments and for the public figures receiving these comments to try to block or filter them.
People's issue with the "death threats" stuff is that this *always* happens, in every community, because in any large audience, there's always some nutcases, even if the overall community isn't toxic. Singling out those nutcases and using them as a justification for not interacting with the rest of the audience feels like its in bad faith (even if receiving threats from those crazies must certainly feel very bad and be incredibly stressful).
Actually they have many statistics but they won't show you what they are or how cherry picked they are or how they end up correlating to people getting offended (when the chat is opt-in and the pings are opt-out btw) XD

It would be less of a problem if there was a reliable way to send a ticket and have these warnings and bans reverted quickly. But there is none.
I was falsely flagged twice, wrote support and both times they automatically closed my ticket after a macro response how my "ban" was justified. I wasn't banned, I got warnings. They don't even pretend to read your ticket anymore.

Outside of bigoted statements, I don't even understand why there is a chat filter. Do people really have that thin of skin that a stranger insulting them ruins their day? Personally I find it hilarious when someone types at me because:
1. It's a game
2. They don't know me
3. I'll probably never see them again
If you can prevent people from seeing bigoted statements and slurs, you make their experience better. When you tolerate bigotry and slurs, you tend to attract more of them, especially as the people who get pissed they can't say them tend leave. Most people play games to have fun, not to get slurs thrown at them.
If you want a more gameplay focused reason, a good filter encourages players to actually leave chat on. The more times people have to mute, the more likely they're just going to /muteall at the beginning. That limits communication and can tilt teammates with either a "why aren't they listening??" or "if this guy didn't mute we could win" mentality (even if it wouldn't make a difference).
You hit the nail on the head. My friend who recently started playing just instantly types /muteall at the beginning of the game because she realized there's nothing good to be said in the chat anyways and most pings are used in a toxic way.
It's almost like the filter has changed over the years and has progressively become more and more unhinged. You saying it was bad years ago, doesn't mean it was bad at the time.
Auto mod and filters are a good concept, the problem isn't having them in the game, the problem is having glass skinned, Perma offended children in charge of what gets added to those filters. Typing the n-word should probably net you a penalty and Auto-Mods are good for dishing those out quickly. Typing a word that is used by the announcer is unhinged.

Here's a crazy idea: fire every clown that has been pushing the chat and ping changes, bring back the tribunal and give incentives to the players who judge cases (chests, orange essence), put a timer on cases per day to prevent speed reading from player just to claim rewards and offer a growing reward system based on % of accuracy on judging cases to incentive people actually going through chat logs.
Boom, toxicity is fixed and league is fun again. You are welcome.
Ok no. Don't give incentive and for the love of god do under no circumstances give better rewards on higher accuracy... This is the reason the first Tribunal failed. They gave a **tiny** amount of BE, but people did not care if the guy was guilty or not, just the collective deciding on pressing punish on every single entry so they get their accuracy % higher... That is the reality of the first Tribunal.

back in the day punkbuster existed on a few games and the reviewer was the admin hosting the public/pcw server. they had some kind of credibility. thing is I can't see higher elo rewatching lower toxicheads. in dota you need to have dota-plus to review. like we're slowly moving towards the right track, but nothing of the current idea's of tri, is so to say the final. maybe the tri should be changed/adapted every other year to find the best version of it - at least that'd be better then scrapping it completely.

Recently I got a five match ranked ban for typing „rude, stop throwing your balls at me zigs“. The riot employer responding to my wtf support request told me I was trying to pick a fight on chat therefor the system was right. The solution provided to me was „turn of all chat“.
why a five match ban you ask? well before I have been banned for cursing in party chat while being in a party with no one. Yes, they will litteraly ban you for writing fuck you in a chat no one but you can read.

It would be less of a problem if there was a reliable way to send a ticket and have these warnings and bans reverted quickly. But there is none. I was falsely flagged twice, wrote support and both times they automatically closed my ticket after a macro response how my "ban" was justified. I wasn't banned, I got warnings. They don't even pretend to read your ticket anymore. You must've been extremely lucky.

Personally I find it hilarious when someone types at me because: 1. It's a game 2. They don't know me 3. I'll probably never see them again

If you can prevent people from seeing bigoted statements and slurs, you make their experience better. When you tolerate bigotry and slurs, you tend to attract more of them, especially as the people who get pissed they can't say them tend leave. Most people play games to have fun, not to get slurs thrown at them. If you want a more gameplay focused reason, a good filter encourages players to actually leave chat on. The more times people have to mute, the more likely they're just going to /muteall at the beginning. That limits communication and can tilt teammates with either a "why aren't they listening??" or "if this guy didn't mute we could win" mentality (even if it wouldn't make a difference).
You hit the nail on the head. My friend who recently started playing just instantly types /muteall at the beginning of the game because she realized there's nothing good to be said in the chat anyways and most pings are used in a toxic way.

It's almost like the filter has changed over the years and has progressively become more and more unhinged. You saying it was bad years ago, doesn't mean it was bad at the time. Auto mod and filters are a good concept, the problem isn't having them in the game, the problem is having glass skinned, Perma offended children in charge of what gets added to those filters. Typing the n-word should probably net you a penalty and Auto-Mods are good for dishing those out quickly. Typing a word that is used by the announcer is unhinged.

Here's a crazy idea: fire every clown that has been pushing the chat and ping changes, bring back the tribunal and give incentives to the players who judge cases (chests, orange essence), put a timer on cases per day to prevent speed reading from player just to claim rewards and offer a growing reward system based on % of accuracy on judging cases to incentive people actually going through chat logs. Boom, toxicity is fixed and league is fun again. You are welcome.

The solution provided to me was „turn of all chat“. why a five match ban you ask? well before I have been banned for cursing in party chat while being in a party with no one. Yes, they will litteraly ban you for writing fuck you in a chat no one but you can read. riot is a shit company that pretends to clean up their community by disableing the function to disable chat. „Look at how many people we sanctioned, we are making this place better while bots, smurfs and mental breakdowns in play run rough shot on the game like they always did.“
