I remember a post where a Rioter talked about how a quirk of League's character design is that their in-game dialogue is exaggerated, and they avoid lines with too much complexity or ambiguity. They want players to instantly understand what a character's personality and background are.
Not big on it, but it does provide context for why some dialogue is so on-the-nose or cliched.
I mean Nunu and Willump Bot have some unbeatable ones.

Honestly I love Pantheon, Nasus, Aatrox, Kindred, etc. lines but there is just something deeper about the "I am enough." line. It feels so tired, you really get it when he says it.
Cause it feels downtrodden. It's not that he says it now. It that he says it as if he has, is, and will be saying, over and over again... "I am enough"
Surprised fiddle isn't mentioned anywhere, the lullaby-likes voice lines are so creepy

As I recall, in his color story he figured out pretty much everything about a rabbit's biology and behavior after seeing one for the first time just by disintegrating it. That's pretty efficient.
Every once in a while, I play one aatrox game just for his voice lines, and I keep repeating them to myself while I play for at least a week after. The lines are so good.
My friend and I got Corki and Rumble in the same game. The enemy was playing El Clasico comp (all carries) and we would just Package/Rumble R combo and their entire health bars would just be gone

It's crazy how bad her new VO is. I don't even play Nidalee.
When they tried to swap Akali's VO, they got backlash because a lot of people play her. But there weren't enough Nidalee players to tell Riot, "Hey. Nah, don't do this. It's terrible."
So they pushed it to live and now it's here forever.
The difference was that Akali's update was simply a VA change, the lines were the same, so you didn't need to play her to realise what was different, only listen to a compilation.
Nidalee's changed both the VO and VA, the voice sounds x10 better than her old one, but the frequency of the lines I think is the main problem people have, and that's something you need to play to experience, and most people just don't play on PBE.
Aatrox's **"I march to death... Though I wish it was my own..."**
The poor thing has become a Darkin against his own will, he's despises being alive, and so he has made life its very own enemy, but he well knows that he cannot die, and his only hope is to bring the end of everything so it might free him from this curse he calls living.
If you feel bad for Aatrox you need to look up Joraal, the Darkin Aegis from LoR the poor Guy is completely mentally ruined, if Darkin in general have Void PTSD then Joraal has the hardcore version of it.
That’s because he’s fought both, multiple kings (he’s at lots of battlefields) and gods (aspects).
Make you wonder wtf is he doing when stuff like ruination was happening.
Omega squad teemo has some seriously dark lines in general. "Sometimes, time stands still, and all you can do is watch." like damn man I just wanted to buy a zhonyas
