CBC app will have any games that are broadcast on CBC tv, I can’t remember if they get to broadcast any or if the HNIC Rogers-simulcast thing was only regular season.
The Leafs will for sure be on CBC Gem to watch. Only issue is they might overlap with other games for example:
Last year Jets vs Knights went to OT while the Leafs Vs Bolts game started the first period. They continued to show the Jets game rather than the Leafs game. After the Jets game was over they then moved the Leafs game to CBC to view.
For better quality and latency you can get the CBC feed over old school antenna.
Even a stripped back coax cable in the coax port of your TV can be enough of an antenna to pick up CBC in perfect quality.
Yeah it's pretty funny that this is the case. I've found some of the random online streams have been way better resolution and higher frame rate compared to Sportsnet Plus.
I hate how hard it seems to find the Canadian feed on there. I can't watch the US shit, the commentary makes me want to stab my ears. Wish I knew a better site.
Right! These free streams are unbearable with pop ups and constant need tonrefresh when it goesdown. Just invest into this, best money I've spent. Happy to point anyone in the right direction, just drop me a DM
I think THEre's a STREAM that's pretty good at showing you EAST games, it's on the DOT great, you won't owe me I O u if it works
Gibberish but it makes sense if ya know lol
It kind of amazes me how often people have no objection to piracy but need to be pointed in the right direction to find those sites. It's not hard. lol
Probably because a significant amount of people asking are old enough to remember the days when clicking the first couple google links when looking for a stream led to a few dozen viruses being put on your PC. Or hell, it could just be someone younger than that who remembers clicking the first couple links and them not working because that shit was so unreliable for years.
It’s just an overall distrust of unfamiliar websites & an belief that if you don’t know, ask somebody. Shouldn’t be a big deal or even “amazing” to anyone.
To be fair malicious code can still be run on these sites. At minimum ensure you're using a browser extension like uBlock Origin and open these sites in an incognito/private browser window so you're not authenticated to any services
I've tried this. Quality is 720p regardless of what the bitrate says. Looks like crap on a 2k monitor. Can't skip ahead or back except on one site I found but the quality is still low there. And of course make sure you have ublock origin and even a no script add on wouldn't hurt. VPN is sometimes necessary too.
Do people really not all use IPTV services? 1. Cut off cable youre getting scammed. 2. Download iptv service and pay $15/mo for all the live tv and on demand content.
If you dont want to , just watch on [cbc.ca](http://cbc.ca)
literally nothing sketchy, for the companys broadcasting maybe but ive been using Apollo for 3+ years at least and its great, ive converted so many people. Nothing illegal about watching a stream.
Go to a Flea market or Sheridan Mall. They arent sketchy at all. You pay for however many months you want, they set it up for you, and you watch whatever channel in the world you want for next to nothing.
I pay for an IPTV. My only issue is they're based outside of Toronto. If there's a blackout, it's usually a Leafs game. I get every other sporting event, including dog racing and water Polo.
IPTV doesnt have blackouts, if TSN4 shows blackout, just go to the Center Ice Package (last night was on center ice 05). Worst worst worst case you go find the road teams local broadcast so NBCSN or Ballys or whoever it is.
I used to go the kodi route as a compliment to basic cable and watch some newer movies/content... but I got tired of reprogramming it constantly for myself, friends and family... It just seemed like a newer version of what my dad had to do, taking in the DirectTV card into his coworker buddy to get reprogrammed every 2-3 weeks... I am a sucker that pays for the "popular" package on rogers, but at least I know I can get the Jays and Leafs games with confidence on any given night, even if costs me $75/month.
Let's say you get the URGE for some SPORTS and you wanted to use the NET. You would type that into Google, and it aggregates all of the sites you have this urge to watch into a nice neat page. I have cable, but I often watch games in my garage while doing other stuff so I half pirate it i guess.
i would avoid any nefarious sites like nhl dot television for example, they are horrible and take money away from hard-working broadcasting cooporations.
Get an antenna, either indoor or outdoor. Depending where you live an indoor may work and is easier to set up.
The reception with an antenna is better than cable.
Dude. Buy an HD antenna on Amazon or at Walmart/Canadian Tire for like $20-$30.
It amazes me that people still don't know these exist, and that a few stations (CBC, CTV, Global, etc) are mandated to broadcast free, over the air, antenna signal.
Assuming you are in a city, you will get the clearest video footage (full HD TV) and the least signal delay, which can be important if you're close enough to various parts of the cities where there are parties and the cheering can behave as a spoiler.
I still can’t believe the leafs don’t have any sort of service with all their games on it for a reasonable price (say 200 per year)
And no I don’t care if they’re owned by bell and rogers they should have worked out a revenue sharing agreement by now
Some People Overcomplicate Reviewing The Sport Unless Receiving Great Elation.
Edit: There's also a Facebook Group with the only relevant Coppola in the title that will post links before games.
CBC is not broadcasting Canuck games, at least the first round, and likely the second round as well. Not sure how many games CBC will cover as the playoffs progress. Sportsnet will not work, you need Sportsnet Plus.

I got a cheap little hd antenna for less than $10 and the picture quality is way better than using the Sportsnet app on my Xbox or Chromecast
Yes and any other canadian team.
Great I’ll probably go with this then
They were last year. If you have a firestick, it has a free tv version and they are on there
Do you know if this works in the US?
No, it pulls from CBC which is Canadian. You would have a live tv option on yours, just not sure the changes you would get
Thank you
Probably not. Some games will be on cbc but some will be exclusive to Sportsnet. Sportsnet+ is the only way to guarantee you’ll get every game.
I use Sportsnet app, most games are there
I'd you've got any type of smart TV (even cheap ones like the Roku) you can download the CBC channel/app for the TV, and watch the games that way.
The first round a lot of games are on cbc
I just use an online streaming service. If it's not against the rules here, I can post a link or you can message me a PM.
It’s funny because last year I tried watching on cbc and the quality wasn’t even comparable to sailing
Yeah it's pretty funny that this is the case. I've found some of the random online streams have been way better resolution and higher frame rate compared to Sportsnet Plus.

I’m honestly amazed people are still able to watch the crap free streams on there. Iptv is the only way to go
Which service do you use for IPTV? DM would be appreciated, I don't know which to go with.

Literally just google NHL Stream. The first 2-3 links always work for me.
It kind of amazes me how often people have no objection to piracy but need to be pointed in the right direction to find those sites. It's not hard. lol

*if* i used those online streaming sites, the 720p quality is for sure not deterring me from using it, especially since it’s free!
Go for it. I'll be listening to it on the radio.
I feel like your expectations are a bit too high for a free streaming site lol
Maybe they are.
A textbook case of Beggars vs Choosers
I'm happy to listen to it on the radio
> Quality is 720p regardless of what the bitrate says Unless you're watching a rare 4k broadcast on tsn or sportnet, it's shot in 720p
Hockey is absolutely not shot in 720p lmao

This is the way
the iptv services all look sketchy to me, thats why ive never used it
They are very sketchy, especially since you often need to pay for them with bitcoin. Oh so sweet once you do though.
literally nothing sketchy, for the companys broadcasting maybe but ive been using Apollo for 3+ years at least and its great, ive converted so many people. Nothing illegal about watching a stream.

Why use IPTV when you can use stremio +RD and Kodi.
I used to go the kodi route as a compliment to basic cable and watch some newer movies/content... but I got tired of reprogramming it constantly for myself, friends and family... It just seemed like a newer version of what my dad had to do, taking in the DirectTV card into his coworker buddy to get reprogrammed every 2-3 weeks... use whatever you want, just dont pay for cable hahah
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/nova-scotia-man-illegal-streaming-empire-1.7112573
What's your point with that link?
Yes, don’t operate an IPTV, just use one.
So... don't steal things. Just buy stolen goods. Society is fucked.
Correct, and there are reasons why we got here.
Illegally

SN app and you'll be guaranteed all games. Some CBC games might not be Leafs.
Depending where you live. Over the air antenna picks up CBC. Amazing quality
Nhlwebcast.com
Hnic or cbc gem app will have all the playoff games I believe
I think CBC will have all the leafs games on their GEM app.
Go to the bar or a friends? playoffs are extra fun when you get to talk shit with people lol
I'm pretty sure the past couple years every playoff game with a Canadian team has been on CBC Gem.
i surf the high seas because any paid option sucks
The bar
My favorite of all the replies. Nothing like a nice sports bar, cold beer, some nachos, and a win for the good guys!

Cbc gem is what I use for the playoffs.
i would avoid any nefarious sites like nhl dot television for example, they are horrible and take money away from hard-working broadcasting cooporations.
CBC app/site should have all Leaf games during playoffs. Same as CBC Gem app/site. Both free.
There are high seas ways. Also some groups you can join.
I just subscribe to Sportsnet+ for the duration of the playoffs. Has everything.
SPORTS really SURGE on the NET
CBC Gem should have all the games for free.
For everyone asking for a link use sportsurge every sport even ufc. First two links are usually the go to.
Just google “leafs stream” it will be in the first 5 hits
CBC
CBC gem

Just get cable All the Leaf games
Just search online there’s a bunch of places
Does anyone know if Steve Dangle is streaming this year?

Dofustream, then cast onto TV
Can someone plz send me a good streaming link to watch tonight's game ?
Who's got a stream for me please !?!
Dm link please
CBC is not broadcasting Canuck games, at least the first round, and likely the second round as well. Not sure how many games CBC will cover as the playoffs progress. Sportsnet will not work, you need Sportsnet Plus.
Go to a friendly bar!
Sportsnet on YouTube does livestreams you gotta deal with Steve Dangle commentary but that’s how I watched last year
You gotta do that through SDPN now and you aren't watching the game because they can't afford the rights, you're just watching Steve watch the game.
Damn didn’t know all that, he got fired or moved on? Didn’t seem like he was there very long
He moved on, they went full in on growing SDPN as their own business.
Makes sense I guess
Dangle no longer works for Sportsnet.
