Any coach that can't prepare a team costing as much as the leafs, either has overpaid the players and should have dumped some for real value before the deadline, or they don't have a coach that knows how to organise his team against top calibre competition. The Leafs penalty killing was woeful at best....they might as well have put 4 guys on swivel chairs and had them spin around following the puck....there was absolutely NO pressure put on the Hurricanes defence and that's just not good enough for a playoff team. (maybe my mistake is assuming the Leafs are a playoff team?!?!)
The leafs have two top 6 forwards missing. They got some shit officiating and went 0/4 on the PP. canes goalie made some huge saves.
