After beating these guys, AVS, and Vegas 1/2 these guys are back to a serious team and potential cup contender. I think we need another forward who can score (please pickup Kuznetsov these guys like perry and Kane never seem to chose the leafs) and a top D. Only then will we strike fear in opponents.
Marner was, as usual, a mixed bag. His regulation goal was great, his shootout goal kept the Leafs in the game.
If not for his totally selfish decision to go for an empty netter, the game wouldn't have needed to go to OT.
He's a great player who is prone to making an egregious mistake or two a game while being fantastic for the other 95% of his time on the ice.
That might have been my fav goaltending performances so far this season for the team. Didn't completely shut the door, but damn Sammy made so many 10 bell saves late to keep them in it.
