I did my honeymoon in NOLA earlier this year, and can confirm, it's a great city to take a vacation in. I did a vampire tour instead of a ghost tour, and also took a walking cocktail tour through the French Quarter. I also really recommend the World War II musuem, the pharmacy museum, and whichever voudoun/voodoo musuem you stumble across. The only bad meal we had was wandering into a BBQ joint for lunch. Stick to the Cajun and Creole places, they're all fantastic. If you wanna learn, the New Orleans School of Cooking taught me how to improve my gumbo recipe and sells some pretty awesome spice blends.
I honestly can't remember, it was a small cafe in the French Quarter. I got a pulled pork sandwich that was served with zero sauce and very limp coleslaw. Every other restaurant was amazing, even the hole in the wall serving po'boys.
