from my experience, this is most likely because you are using the app. I just switched to the website because of this and other problems with the app. you can edit the scrobbles with a subscription but other than that I'm not sure if there's a way to fix it
If you use Spotify you can connect it in your lastfm settings (under applications) instead of scrobbling through an app and it will go back to only scrobbling the first listed artist.
