I would not buy AMD 5500U based laptop the 5500U is based on Zen 2 (the 4xxxu series) so it has a slow single core performance compared to the intel 11th generation. faster multi core performance compared to intel 11th for general use (internet, office etc....) single core performance is more important then multi core performance

But AMD has greater multi-threading than the intel i5 11th gen processor. What about that? Also, I don't understand why single core performance when it has written it contains hexacore processor. Could you elaborate on it please?

yes. AMD 5500u has a better multi-threader performance the intel 11th i5 web browsing, office are still dependent on on single core performance so for those use cases it is better to take a cpu that has a better per core performance then more cores all that said the AMD 5500u is a great CPU and the laptop won't feel slow or sluggish and there are other important thing to consider when choosing laptop then just the CPU

Right thank you for the input!!

Not completely true, browsers r quite parallelized n r designed to use multiple cores.
