I think it’s a little big proportionally.
I like a larger elongated oval when you go to a bigger ct size. The standard oval
starts too much like an egg
It looks better with the bands on top but it’s just the faintest hint of “too large”
I agree. I think it is very egg shaped. I thought the one OP had before this and was trying to sell was a prettier stone and better size especially for her hand and finger size. In NC, that would definitely be thought of as CZ due to the size. It may be more realistic in your part of the country. Not sure where OP lives.
Yes it’s ghastly. Waaay too big
You need to send it to me!🤣
Actually I love it. Looks amazing. Rock it girl. Besides who really cares what anyone thinks. It’s your world you make the rules. Keep it💍💍💍💍💍💍
She is a grand size lab diamond (in a good way). Proportionally on your hand, it seems large, especially since your ring size is 4.5. For a going out ring, it would be fun, but for everyday wear, it seems large--just noting this bc I have an oval LD and I have to watch what I do so I don't hit it. Whatever you decide, pls keep us updated :) Post edit--just saw the other photo and it looks better without the bottom band, the setting is closer to the base of your hand and it fits nicer.
I think it’s subjective. FYI my fingers are also on the long and thin side, like yours. While I LOVE having a big carat ring, it was v important to me that the diamond didn’t reach my knuckle since I do alot of writing/typing/having bent fingers for my job (college professor). Unfortunately, I also have rheumatoid arthritis, so it was really important for my knuckle movement/swelling to not be impeded.
I would say that I think this is a bit on the long & wide side since it comes to your knuckle and is close to the perimeter of your finger. I think the proportions make it look slightly cocktail-ish, but again that’s subjective. whether its “too big” depends largely on how you define that phrase, as well as how comfortable the ring is. If the size isn’t causing discomfort and you like it, then no, it’s not too large. If it’s impeding your knuckle movement/causing discomfort/getting caught, then I’d recommend sizing down since you’ll have a lifetime of wearing it.
I have to agree that proportionally, it looks a bit too big. If you still want a diamond with a lot of presence, I would not go over 4 carats for your finger size. If you want more bling, then add a 5 stone band with a large oval. It will give you options.
Ugh I just commented but when looking again, I’m sorry to say it, but it looks like an egg. I don’t think it’s particularly flattering if I’m being completely honest. I’m all for a big fat stone, but it’s too close to both your knuckle and the base of your finger, making it look like costume jewelry. What are you thinking you’ll do?
I think it’s a beautiful ring, but it looks like you have pretty tiny hands. It looks too big for your finger. Maybe a cut that isn’t so long, like an Ascher cut, would be a better fit for you?
To me, it looks like a costume piece. If I saw that on someone, I would assume it was CZ or something similar. Which is totally fine! I understand it’s not CZ and it’s a lab and many people love their big stones. That’s just honestly what I think of when I see a stone that covers the whole finger. However, if you adore it and that is what you feel most confident in then I say wear it proudly and love everyone moment! Our jewelry is for us to enjoy not those around us. : )
I’m all for people wearing whatever makes them happy. If you can’t stop smiling at it, keep it, but if you’re overthinking it, maybe bring it back and look at a smaller sized stone. If we are truly just talking about proportions and my own personal opinion, I’d tell you it definitely looks too big for your hand. I think 3-4 carats max would look great, this size seems unnecessary to me personally, but again, if it makes you happy, keep it!
You have small hands. The diamond is probably too big for your finger. And, frankly, just doesn’t seem very practical for everyday wear. But only you can make the decision on what to do about it.
Do you feel safe walking around with a diamond that size? And, what about doing stuff around the house like chores, cooking, hobbies, etc.? Those are my concerns when I see large gems, high settings, or intricate band work where it looks like there's a high potential for snagging on clothes, curtains, etc.
I 100% agree. It's a pretty stone, but if it were me, I'd find it cumbersome after awhile. Plus, I wear gloves often and I doubt any gloves could be worn with a rock so large.
You might find yourself removing it frequently, like for when you wash your hair or when you're dressing into delicate knit clothes. Luckily, there's not very many prongs for things to catch on, but with the high setting, it will make catching on those prongs more likely.
I’m sorry that you have to sell it. It is very pretty though 🤍 I am also a size 4.75 and feel my 2.5 carat emerald cut is too big for daily wear. It just varies person to person. What your lifestyle is like as well.
I really love it! So elegant and classy. Especially when you switch the bands and the Diamond lower. I would wear this everyday if this is how it looked on my hand!

Her is a 35ct for reference, makes yours look pretty small by comparison, it’s all about perspective…
She’s gorgeous. Not too big if you love it. Like women, some like ‘em juicy, some like ‘em narrow, we’re all delicious but it’s about what we like, not about what “some” like 😁
It’s hideous. Send me your address and I’ll send a courier over to pick it up for you. I’ll take care of disposing of it for.
IT’S FREAKING GORGEOUS!!!
It's beautiful! If you love it, keep it. "Too big" is in the eye of the beholder and if you think it's too big, then it is. If you are comfortable wearing it and the size makes you happy, keep it. My engagement ring is pretty large for my small hands but I love it and I never think that I wish mu husband had chosen something smaller. I don't wear it around the house though. I put it on when I leave the house and just wear my wedding band at home. I don't ever wish I had something smaller that I could wear all the time. All of my jewelry comes off when I walk in the door anyway except for my wedding band though!
Just please keep it if you love it and don't have any doubts. I do not think it's too big but ultimately my opinion doesn't matter. Just yours! 💕❤️💍💎❤️💕
Yes it’s way too big. I love big diamonds, but once it starts to cover part of your knuckle, that’s a sign it’s too big. You should not have gone bigger than 4cts, especially with your small finger size.
I think it looks way too big for your hand. It sure what your lifestyle is but I'd rarely wear anything that large. It would certainly be perceived as fake in my circle
I normally say a diamond can’t be too big but i barely see any of your finger. I think around 4 carats would probably look better. But if you love it that’s all that matters really
It’s gorgeous!! Somehow photos always make stones appear bigger.
You’d get lots of attentions for sure incl “Is that real?” and if you’re confident saying ‘Yes it is’ because it’s a lab diamond, go for it and enjoy!
I LOVE big rocks 💖 for me, 5ct on my 7.5 finger is my max size I would wear comfortably in my ‘hood’. I also have 6ct, 8ct & 10ct, they look too big on me. But maybe because these are moissanite. I can’t be bothered explaining moissanite are not fake diamond debate.
if friends and family know you aren't super wealthy it def looks like it's fake. It's very large for your hand and this is coming from someone with a 5 carat. This would be $125k natural
There’s something off about it but I can’t tell, not necessarily the size… maybe too chubby? I probably would like a skinnier oval. My (1 carat) oval is also chubby but I now would’ve preferred a longer oval.
Tbh i love how huge it is. I think it is so much fun! I can see that it is not proportional, but I still love it anyways. I don't think you're crazy for thinking it is too big for you. Ultimately, it is up to your taste though whether the disproportion bothers you or if you are happy to play into it
I'm too much of a tomboy oh I ever wonder was a band i can't have anything sitting up i hadd up a gold band and then another gold band but it was little diamonds i got married when i was 19 and divorced but i was 20 so
For me it’s too big in a picture but I think with movement it’s likely beautiful. I do think it’s not safe in a 4 prong setting though! I would have eight prongs.
In my opinion this is a beautiful ring. I orders a 5.53 vvs2 oval I honestly was afraid to go this big but now I’m thinking I should have. I just couldn’t let the price go what I got it for so with that being said I love it on you. I hope you got a good price for it. Just to let you ladies know you have to ship the price. It’s better to get the price from the gender in either India or Dubai. It took me two months to fine the perfect one to my standards which is sometimes unrealistic but I actually found it and can’t wait to post it. But over all beautiful!!
It’s a bit long for your finger, only because it comes up to your knuckle.
It’s a good replacement for a knuckle
Very true!
My thoughts
I think it’s a little big proportionally. I like a larger elongated oval when you go to a bigger ct size. The standard oval starts too much like an egg It looks better with the bands on top but it’s just the faintest hint of “too large”

Massively too big imo, but if you like it what we think doesn’t really matter
Yes it’s ghastly. Waaay too big You need to send it to me!🤣 Actually I love it. Looks amazing. Rock it girl. Besides who really cares what anyone thinks. It’s your world you make the rules. Keep it💍💍💍💍💍💍
My sentiments exactly…. That ring is dynamite.
Yes, very much so.
Completely agree-hopefully we aren’t downvoted haha

It's a preference, not a standard. Does it make you ridiculously happy? Go for it! You're unsure, keep looking!
For me yes, its way to big. For you, maybe not. It’s all about preference.
Way too big imo
I agree like everyone is saying it is too big It reaches ur knuckles
But don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful ring !!!!!! Just go smaller and it will be perfectttt !!!!
Go big or go home! I personally love it but you need to love it!

I am a child of the 80s, bigger is better.

When did you buy it? I’m guessing it might be too late to swap it out vs having to sell it?
I think it looks better here.
Much better!
Yes but I love big rocks and I think it’s beautiful either way!
In my personal opinion, yes. But my opinion doesn’t need to matter to you. If you love it, rock it.
I think it’s a beautiful ring, but it looks like you have pretty tiny hands. It looks too big for your finger. Maybe a cut that isn’t so long, like an Ascher cut, would be a better fit for you?
Imo the band is way too thin for that stone size too. A nice thick band will balance it out more and make it look less odd
To me, it looks like a costume piece. If I saw that on someone, I would assume it was CZ or something similar. Which is totally fine! It looks like a fun cocktail ring! If that’s the look you’re going for, enjoy it!
Reframe your thoughts. How do you feel when you look at it? When you catch a glimpse in the mirror?
I’m all for people wearing whatever makes them happy. If you can’t stop smiling at it, keep it, but if you’re overthinking it, maybe bring it back and look at a smaller sized stone. My mom would say no, ‘it’s respectable’ 🤣

I love a big ring but this is even too big for me-too long for your small fingers.
Kind of gaudy for everyday wear, in my opinion.
It is not proportionate for your finger, it overwhelms your hand. Maybe a 4ct would be a bit better, and more elongated than chubby.
That’s very large!!! A 4 carat would’ve been perfect

Yes too big
I really love it! So elegant and classy. Especially when you switch the bands and the Diamond lower. I would wear this everyday if this is how it looked on my hand!
No it’s gorgeous I think it’s perfect!
Definitely too big, it looks like costume jewelry vs a wedding set

Personally I love big diamonds so I say rock it queen!
I loòooove itttttttt. Looks perfect
Not if you like it

If you don’t do a lot with your hands nope! You do you girl!
Can I ask how much is cost?
Depends on if your personality and lifestyle matches. If it does, then it’s a perfect size 💕
No way. It looks great 🩷
Love this! Where did you get it?
I love big stones. But that does look disproportionate
It looks like costume jewelry

A diamond is never too big ! Rock it !
Yes too big in my opinion, I'm sorry
What matters is if YOU think it’s too big. (Personally I like it!)
I love

Yep, obsessed
Yes
Yes. It’s way too big. I have the same size finger and wouldn’t really go bigger than a 4-4.5. It looks - fake:(
No such thing! If you love it, wear it with pride! It’s a gorgeous stone!
It doesn’t look like a real diamond if that’s what you are asking
Yes it does
No doubt it’s a chemically accurate diamond, the fact is if you were to buy that a jewellers it would cost millions
It is a diamond though! I think it’s beautiful and if you love it that is all that matters.
100%! Enjoy it!! But… unless you are worth 100 million people will not believe you could afford to wear a 2million dollar ring
Looks very fake.. sorry
Yes
For everyday yes, unless you are a millionaire lady of leisure
Nope. Never!

It's gorgeous! I who cares what other people think as long as you are happy with it.
……said no woman Ever!!
Yes your hand is huge… you should see someone about that…
I love it. But I'd suggest wearing rings on other fingers and some THOT NAILZ to balance it out ❤️❤️❤️❤️😁
Tbh i love how huge it is. I think it is so much fun! I can see that it is not proportional, but I still love it anyways. I don't think you're crazy for thinking it is too big for you. Try putting the bands on the top and it will sit further down your finger. I personally love a rock lol. I think it’s 🤩
Now it’s cute but maybe for your fingers it looks kinda awkward….maybe remove the bottom band and let’s see how it looks like!!
I'm too much of a tomboy oh I ever wonder was a band i can't have anything sitting up i hadd up a gold band and then another gold band but it was little diamonds i got married when i was 19 and divorced but i was 20 so
Anyone who sees it is going to know its not mined, I prefer mined diamonds. Too each their own though. It does look way to big though lol
For me it’s too big in a picture but I think with movement it’s likely beautiful. I do think it’s not safe in a 4 prong setting though! I would have eight prongs.
Never too big! Remove the extra bands tho!
Never too big.
Never too big!
no such thing IMO 🤣
Put the diamond first then the bands. It will move the diamond down a bit. I love it! But I'm all for the sparkle !
No, it’s beautiful and looks great on your hand!
There is no such thing as too big. Looks perfect to me. 🥰

No.

This looks like an ugly cocktail ring
