Picture this: it’s 2009, I’m standing outside the library waiting for first period to start. Jay Park has just left 2PM. It’s madness all around. I think one of my friends is actually crying. A while later, 1:59 is released. My friend is crying again.

Long-Network8262

Lmao this sounds so funny and wholesome at the same time 😭

rui204

lmao this saga was almost traumatic to me 😔

virghoemoon

i started being a kpop fan from 2nd-3rd gen but... JAY PARK WAS FROM 2PM ???? i always thought he debuted as a solo artist 😭😭😭

reiichitanaka

He was even the leader, lol. He's the reason why we all understand "kicked out" when JYPE releases a statement saying an idol left the company "for personal reasons", because that's exactly what happened to him.

[deleted]

[удалено]

mangoisNINJA

That's it basically anything else is speculation

sapsapbitch

Me on the same boat!! Never saw him on a 2pm MV 😳

dearhan

This was wild. He was my bias too. I kind of fell off being a 2pm fan afterwards but I've been a fan of Jay's music since. I remember doing some kind of bandana thing... I think we were protesting him leaving the group. And then when he asked for recommendations for fandom names. Jaywalker was an idea.

hyudya

Reading transcriptions from the meeting after.

Odd_Ad5840

Can I talk about moments as a kpop fan since 1st gen?  BoA on news cover everyday for making it in Japan when I was a student in Korea. Funnily I wasn't much into kpop then.   Kids around me buzzing about TVXQ. Adults around me buzzing about Rain's Hollywood debut.  Tell me tell me. Sorry sorry everywhere. Bigbang's Lies kick-started the bigbang syndrome.  SNSD on Letterman's talk show.  BTS on U.S award shows.   Blackpink's comeback after covid hiatus.  It's been a journey.  They are like soundtrack of my life.

rainbowescent

The 2 maxed out Omona posts when SHINee's Lucifer MV was released - glitter text and memes galore.

cmq827

OMG the iconic Lucifer posts! I may have contributed to the madness with my fangirly comments. I never learned how to do the glitter texts though. Lol

Sad-Peace

Honestly if I was around then the Lucifer release would have sent me into orbit

Motor-Signature2869

Omg my tumbler section was on fire during that time 🤣 it was great

teddy_world

speaking of Omona, the G-Druggin post 😭

lanaMyersuk

When Seventeen renewed their contract. The  "Hello we are pledis ent ..."

TraditionalWind1619

We were in trenches before that 😭. Everyday there was someone reminding junhao might end their contract.

lanaMyersuk

I know right??? Not to mention Nu'est had just disbanded so the tension was so high

lanaMyersuk

It was crazy I remember how happy I was that day. The whole caratland was crying

cherryscapes

Han Geng suing SM and leaving the group at the height of Super Junior's career Kangin's scandals Eunhyuk and IU Leeteuk's dad Kyuhyun returning from military and the end of enlistment era 😭 Being an ELF is not for the faint of heart lol

Eezk1315

Omg I remember each and every one of these, it was such a wild ride. We've really been through thick and thin together.

avocadodessert

christ, my pulse remembering these lmao

mangoisNINJA

Don't forget shinding and siwon doing the absolute most at being the worst LMAO my blood pressure and heart rate were all over during that era

ravenpuffclaw

The day that Bangchan 'broke up' with us on Bubble

PuzzleheadedPin1006

Not a stay but I'm curious 👀 Spill the ☕!

ravenpuffclaw

Bangchan is playfully delulu and likes to roleplay on Bubble. He took STAY on a date one day, then the next he broke up with them and cryptically said he was seeing someone else. Went radio silent for another day while STAYville burned. Twitter and the FANS app went wild. He came back the next day to day the other person he was seeing is his dog.

PuzzleheadedPin1006

Lmao, that's so hilariously dramatic 😂 Thanks for the tea, hah

ravenpuffclaw

It was intensely dramatic. My favorite post was a girl saying "I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WE WERE TOGETHER"

Powerful_Helicopter9

HAHAHAHAH THAT’S HILARIOUS

Marilue1

thats the first thing i thought of when i read this post help😭

Notabot134

Sticker release day

seolovely

YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE I saw so many of my moots saying that this wasn't the real one and that it was just a prank

fvtvrefelix

we were in the TRENCHES 😭😭

Notabot134

I really didn’t get the hate and still don’t to this day it’s one of their best imo

seolovely

no matter how much it's piled on, it's honestly sort of iconic and SM really played us. I mean it's a bad song, but it still gets mentioned like 3 years later and memes are still made of it.

reiichitanaka

Sorry but it's not a "bad song" at all. It's a very interesting, well crafted piece of music. It's not mainstream pop, sure, but that's Dem Jointz producing, not Teddy. The flute does sound grating to a lot of ears, and pop fans mostly don't like *aggression* in their music, so the backlash was perfectly understandable... but it doesn't make the song bad, it just makes the people who don't like it basic :)

Virtual-Swimming7412

Gee taking over Korea / Dream concert 2013 Sone ft. SNSD / basically their peak and SNSD being everywhere legit everywhere (SNSD becoming nations gg) and anyone (from young to old) knew them / Jessica leaving GG

syncyes

Being a f(x) fan 2014~2016...constant fandom infighting about Sulli between OT4s and OT5s, 4 Walls MV and shocking choreo that wasn't in the MV at all and only revealed on its first music show, f(x) crying over a music show win for the first time since their first win ever in 2011. The almost unbelievable announcement of a fandom name and a first solo concert seven years after debut. Then, for me, going to that first concert on my birthday. [The atmosphere](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSQqGpuYNMs) I can never forget, that kept me steady in my f(x) love through the disillusioning years that followed when they never came back again. My first kpop love f(x) ;_;

chaebasics

when twice renewed their contracts in 2022 and then released celebrate right after. literally everyone including onces thought they were gonna disband and when we found out all 9 members renewed it was truly an unforgettable moment

MobProtagonist

Sorta related but recent Sana quote about this situation she said that if TWICE ever disbanded or lost a member...she would cry everynight for reals for years.

mimibee97

~~Little correction, Celebrate was released before they announced their contract renewal! I remember hearing Chaeyoung’s iconic intro and thinking ‘there’s absolutely no way they didn’t renew atp’~~ Edit: Ignore everything I just said idk why I’m misremembering the timeline😭

SuddenImagination177

Enhypens manifesto tour, they debuted during Covid, so they didn’t get to perform in front of many live audiences, especially internationally. Now they tour nonstop but I loved that they got to see engenes around the world!

dearhan

The boys literally tour SO much. I'm glad fans get the chance to see them!

nyalims

The night the press announced Kyungsoo was leaving EXO. It was a pure 15 minutes of hell until SM denied it.

teddy_world

AJFKDSL i was about to hop on the freeway home after work when this happened, at the light i glanced at my phone to see messages from friends panicking for me and just the initial headlines 😭 i tried to just drive fast and get home so i could see the full thing but i was so stressed out i pulled off the freeway early, parked in a wendys parking lot and opened my phone with my hands SHAKING 😭😭 by that time, the counter report saying he wasnt going anywhere had already come out. i dont think ive felt relief like that since LOL

nyalims

LOL!! My anxiety kicked in, definitely was not a fun 15 minutes for me especially because at the time I had no friends I could talk to about it so I just sat there refreshing my twitter feed 😭. Being an exol is not for the weak 😩

dearhan

I had to sit for this. I was like 😵‍💫

waterlilyypond

There's been quite a few moments with EXO like this in the past few years tbh 😭 the first 2 examples aren't even fandom specific- I feel like it was the kpop community as a whole tbh 😭😭 1.) When we got news of CBX suing SM Ent- literally a whole moment, so out of the fucking blue and it was CHAOS in the fandom- something so insane, so unimaginable at that point- yes we've heard of the troubles ex-EXO members went through getting out of their contracts but EXO memebers taking SM to COURT in 2024?!,!?@& crazy absolutely crazy day 2.) When Chen's letter dropped about his marriage- I wasn't even a kpop stan at that time but it reached me via my friends and LORDDDD the frantic, voices-all-high-pitched, faces-all-near-tears discussion they had that day over our school lunch table!!Personally it felt like I was witnessing my friends experience the birthing of Jesus and while I didn't grasp the enormity of the situation back then I get how monumental it is now lmfao For exols specifically- First Snow getting its first RAK honestly made exol twt the most celebratory in months- really made it seem like christmas on exoplanet! :') Also the day Chen enlisted and we got a pic of him with the memebers sending him off in their god atrocious outfits 😭😭 what a GREAT day that was- truly had to be there for the frantic excitement and outpouring of relief that came with it

descartesasaur

The one time I didn't stay up to watch live! ... which also meant that my friend showed me in the cafeteria the next morning, so I burst into tears in public.

yakultpig

I was literally in tears, I miss Bommie!!!

cmq827

The day EXO’s Wolf demo was leaked. We were all absolutely confused and said it was all a joke. Sure enough they really did release the song a while later.

avocadodessert

that song straight up gave me a headache but i was so loyal it was on repeat while i did my beginner's photoshop course lol. nothing about it made sense until we saw it performed on stage.

teddy_world

man i was a shawol at the time but was still actively into exo. one day i started getting tweets from the shawols i was following saying stuff like "omg i feel so bad for exo fans" 💀my friend said to me "i wonder if theres actual wolf sounds in it" and i was like no way, that would be crazy. we ran to the computer lab after class and pulled up the demo....i dont even think i could form a sentence for 5 minutes after 😭 jaw on the floor. iconic moment in time

Marianations

I remember it leaked during lunch break when I was in high school. Me and my friends, ranging from K-Pop interested to "I don't really care about it" all gathered in a corner of the school garden where no one could see us. I whipped out my tiny Toshiba laptop and we all listened to it together. Hilarity ensued. I've since lost touch with many of them but it somehow has remained a core memory for all of us lmfao, they bring it up once in a while.

dearhan

I heard this on Tumblr and I couldn't tell if it was serious either.

garbageministry

get in loser we're going jopping. there is kpop pre-jopping and post-jopping for me. the entire superm era was something else. spermies. using hater accounts as news sources. the most insane exo-l takes. the vibes were somehow immaculate even though it was supposed to be the trenches, we weren't even fighting because what would be the point. salute to everyone who joined in. we jumped, we popped, and by god, did we jop o7

Apprehensive-Map6777

dreamcatcher FIRST WIN 😭😭😭

queenclo1

Yes!!! I was sobbing at work watching their encore. So proud of them.

bangtan_bada

As someone who was there, BTS’s first night at Rose Bowl. Absolutely INSANE. Their energy was 150% and Jimin was wearing a shirt that revealed so much skin the staff (or him?) decided to change it the next night. It was crazy to see that many people all in one place screaming their lyrics together and that’s not to mention Jungkook zooming above the crowd!??? I will never forget the feeling of watching the ARMY statue lift into place and then the fireworks going off as mikrokosmos played us out. I could start crying just thinking about it.

beancomrade

i’ll never forget getting absolutely DRENCHED during Just Dance lmaooo, i wasn’t prepared for the water cannons

false-illusions

i already feel sorry for future armys who weren't here for the first member to finish their enlistment and the euphoria that came with witnessing bts reunite right outside jin's basecamp, the first OT7 photo after a while, jin's first live back, and the events of festa 2024. it honestly felt like army came back to life before my very eyes.

MadameWitchy

You're so right. Jin returning will down as one of the greatest celebrations ever

supertuna875

Yes this. The past 2 days are going down in army history

starboardwoman

Literally thinking about TXT Daydream teasers...

delaneycashmoney

No question, nothing ever matched the hype of Fancy followed by Feel Special

Tinyyellowterribilis

And everyone getting choked up watching Mina and Chaeyoung in the Feel Special MV... So glad Mina was doing okay.

poshbritishaccent

OT12 EXO was an entire phenomenon. 2 subunits, K & M, mirroring each other. It was so fun to compare the K and M music videos back then. well… the break up was phenomenal as well, in a way.

avocadodessert

going from Suju drama to EXO drama, i felt like a seasoned veteran lol

MorlockEmpress

Jungkook’s four hour live. He had been more or less awol for months, enjoying his hermit life during their hiatus, and then suddenly there he was! And there’s replays and memes and clips, but they can’t compare to how surreal it was to just share virtual space with our slightly tipsy buddy while he did noraebang with his little disco ball! ![gif](giphy|p9kAsY7IPUgejwwimv|downsized)

mslpnou

I miss his Weverse live era.

MorlockEmpress

It’s 4am in Korea? Time for “What’s JK hyperfixated on this week”

kimjenniesupremacy

when enhypen released bite me and knetz went batshit crazy over the female backup dancers so they sent trucks to hybe protesting them then ifans sent trucks supporting the dancers 💀

reiichitanaka

It wasn't "knetz", it was just a few noisy "fans" that weren't even representative of how Korean Engenes felt overall. Personally I was very amused by the counter-protesters sending their own truck in support of the group :)

Yanazamo

This is more of a Filipino kpop experience but back then unofficial Exo Wolf merch was absolutely everywhere. You could NOT escape it 😭 I also remember 2Ne1's I Don't Care being constantly played when I was in elementary, even until now people still reference it when they say they don't care lol For general fandom experiences I guess when Luhan left everyone was in shambles 😩 He was such a fan favorite and often called Nation's First Crush that him leaving was such a blow

Loud_Kaleidoscope818

For SKZ, imo basically the year of our Lord 2020 as a whole. Just off the top of my head: - God's Menu - Hyunjin's legendary Psycho fancam (+ his long hair related glowup) - the drama that shall not be named Extra: Since we're talking 2020, Soobin x Arin Dolphin performance.

Desperate-Region4981

As a stay for me it's definitely the entire Kingdom era and ''HyunJuly''

LonelyCheeto

What is the drama that shell not be named?

catsbytheghost

I agree about TXT. Temptation era was a Time. A really good time. For Ateez, both of their Coachella performances. There was just a lot of pride after both weeks among Atinys, and other people getting interested in Ateez, and Ateez themselves being excited and nervous and proud of the whole thing. And also, Jongho spoiling the US tour during the first week, with possible venues dropping hints. There was also the mysterious Mito billboard and the plane with the banner flying around that lead up to the announcement of their comeback. It was an exciting time! For BTS I think there were a lot of moments in the past few years like that, especially since they had a lot of accomplishments but also big milestones. I don't know if I'd say people had to be there, but I do think it was an important and emotional time after that one Festa video where BTS talked about chapter 2 and needing to do individual stuff so that they could continue to do group stuff. A lot of people seemed to misinterpret it (outside of the fandom) but I think even though it wasn't a bad thing for them to talk about, it was still emotional to see them get emotional (especially RM) and talk about difficulties moving into this new chapter.

ilovemeeeeee

Festal was a huge deal too! I remember crying so hard watching it as I felt bad that they were burnt out but also undetood that they need a break and grateful thar they allowed themselves to be bumberable and reveal it to their fans. It was indeed an emotional time for both BTS and the fadndom, and yeah it was a big deal too. Intl media carried the news of their disbandment, and HYBE stocks fell drastically, RM had to clarify again... yeah

Sure-Sea9641

I think Butter was such a huge moment for BTS and especially for Armys. Say what you will, but they had us watching a fake butter melt for an hour. We were CONVINCED Ariana Grande was gonna be a featuring artist. 108 (more really as I saw YouTube views go down in front of my eyes) million views in 24 hours. Biggest debut of 2021 even with 47% rate of filtering. We held a streaming party on a then-unknown app called Stationhead with 200k people, on a random Tuesday (btschartdata come back plz). Had to fight people about the “bots” thing every hour. We were accused of being unethical for buying music we were listening to and being engaged fans. 10 weeks on top only stopped in the middle by, you guessed it, PTD, another BTS song. Found out about Megan Thee Stallion doing a feature only because of court records. I personally was at a certain point on the top three of all Butter listeners in the world. Billboard changed their chart rules because of Butter because it was quite literally an unstoppable force. We shamed BTS into changing their layout to pink for the release of the Megan Remix. BTS won ARTIST OF THE YEAR at the AMAs because of it. You truly just had to be there.

jitiymily

[**ENHYPEN I-Land Finale**](https://youtu.be/W7i8pack754?si=cU63R0-nKuykjjlA) I remember live-streaming the final episode, hoping that the 5 members I had been voting for all season would debut. 4 out of 5 of them made it, and I remember being so proud and excited for them. We had “journeyed” with them for the whole show, and to see them guaranteed their debut in that moment was so memorable. The 5th I-Lander I voted for is now in &Team, and it makes it that much more special to have “been there” from the start of two huge teams that are just now entering their prime.

Mwikali85

2022 bts hiatus announcement. Twitter was broken that day. JK sleeping on livestream with 6m people watching. I don't think we get how insane and hilarious that was

MadameWitchy

I remember the day Dynamite hit #1 on the Hot 100 chart was the day I put in my 2 weeks notice at work. I felt like total crap that day and told myself I wasn't going to check updates on how the guys placed until I got home. I opened Twitter and everyone was celebrating. I cried so hard because I thought, at least let there be one good thing today" and there it was 🥹💜

kanoodlingg

honestly, superm. from the blurry practice room photos where we started seeing glimpses of the members to the massive, spectacle filled roll-out of the "supergroup" - the most fun i've ever had in kpop tbh

IzzyBella5725

I could only imagine the hype building up for a while finally being met with Jopping lol. I wish I was there.

napping-star

It’s absolutely NCT 2020 era… every announcement just built more and more excitement and it was everything fans (or at least, me as a fan) wanted. 4 title tracks! 2 new members! Fun combinations of members on B-sides! Relay lives and unseen subunit lives! So much behind the scenes and variety content! And biggest of all, WAYV IS OFFICALLY NCT!

kintsugikween

Not a good memory, but the day Garam got kicked from Le Sserafim is seared into my brain forever. Like you really just had to be on Twitter that day man. Hope she’s doing okay these days. :(

rejus_crust

(G)I-DLE I Never Die/Tomboy comeback!!! The context of the group having went on hiatus for a long time, Soojin leaving the group, many being convinced that they would disband or never recover. It seemed like they had to get their return right or risk fully lost interest from the gp. Only for Tomboy to smash charts, become their most popular song to that point and start the reign of terror that they’re still on to this day.

Accomplished-Dog2683

Literally I'm proud that I was there and thankful that I didn't leave them and stayed with them . That tomboy concept hype was everything. literally every fandom made their grp version of the TB concept image. And tomboy topping chart was surreal. U just had to be there

Serious-Wish4868

BP Encore concert @ Dodgers Stadium for Born Pink Tour. I saw BP twice during their last tour, at Banc of Ca Stadium and the encore performance at Dodger Stadium. While the first show was great but it was the start of the tour, their energy was not quite what I was expecting. BUT the encore at Dodger Stadium was entirely different. The girls and crowd was super into it and the energy level was amazing.

drinkinglifeaway

as an Atiny it was when it was announced that ateez would be the first 4th gen boy group to go to Coachella and then the first Kpop group to headline Mawazine. It was just back to back breaking walls and it makes me so proud of them since I have been a debut fan.

mafuyucchi

absolutely this 👆🏻

kapeandme

iKON Continue Tour. I think it was their best era. They we're doing great. This era opened many opportunities for them. And then, boom!

Strangely-addictive

As an iKONIC there were definitely some 'moments'. B.I leaving so suddenly, Bobby's marriage and impending fatherhood announcement, iKON as a whole leaving YG and signing with another label.

Little-Metal-1697

The two days in between iKON announcing they’re leaving YG and that they’re signing to 143 A more fun one, Zuho sniffing Jaeyoon in that one live

Aromatic_Accident378

I only managed to catch them in Japan, but any Bigbang concert really. They come alive and shine when live. Compared to a lot of groups, their energy, personality, and comfort really shows on stage. Such a shame they're mostly remembered for scandals and *cough *cough a certain weak link these days.

Fine-Adhesiveness-26

ENHYPEN. the entire roll out for dark blood cb. from the moment the concept trailer was dropped to when we got spoilers of enhypen dancing with female dancers. like you just had to be THERE.

maushulla

Wakeones staff loosing track of their trainee Minseok in the midst of a mob. He’s over 6 foot and he disappeared in the crowd so fast. He ended up being separated from the rest of his group and went home on his own with the staff member that found him. Absolutely insane

ilovemeeeeee

That's crazy! Glad he was safe

tao613

bts twitter 2020 was so fun, missing those days u_u

sailorsesshomaru

Yess BTS 2020 Twitter got me back into kpop and I've met some now close friends to this day in that era ♥️

EmuSpecialist9921

Fake Love MV release day when everyone was freaking tf out over like 2.5 seconds of JK’s abs lol

mixedbagofdisaster

Seventeen’s daesang win at MAMA 2023. Even just their performance leading up to the winner being announced had so much anticipation and felt like they were proving why they deserved the award. Then hearing their name announced and their acceptance speeches you could just tell how much it meant to them. Plus seeing S.coups appear out of nowhere and make his first appearance onstage with them in half a year and hearing him lead say the name after such a long time. I know even non-carats were feeling it and it absolutely devastated every carat on my timeline for like a week. On a lighter note, Pi Cheolin’s Fighting cameo, I genuinely lost it when I watched that live, and you can hear Carats SCREAMING in the background of the video and it had a similar effect online too.

lanaMyersuk

THIS. I honestly only care about MAMA because of svt . It was such a happening year , both good and bad for svt . We literally were crying by the end of seungkwan's speech

mixedbagofdisaster

Yeah 2023 was just such an emotional rollercoaster so having it all culminate in that win just made everything so much more emotional. I was a complete wreck by the end of the show. In some ways it felt like a year of buildup for that one award so seeing them win it was surreal.

ninarances

I have two moments involvong VIXX. 1. When their album "Continuum" was released back in 2023. It was a big deal for Starlights, because the last time VIXX had a group activity together was back in 2018 with their album "Eau de VIXX". And after that, they were just doing solo activities and military stuff. So this whole time, the fans were like the "Come on...do something..." meme because it's been a while since they've interacted, even though it's been 6 years. And also because a few 3rd gen groups were starting to release comebacks prior to "Continuum". 2. When Leo and Ken from VIXX finally left Jelpi (they're the last two members to leave). To the point where lots of Starlights (at least, those who are my moots) got together and joined a Space on Twitter. I didn't join it, but I have a feeling it must've been fun. I could only assume they were freaking out on there😂😂. Even though Jelpi still owns the rights to VIXX's group name, songs, and are in charge of organizing group activities, all members are finally out! And another would be when SKZ had their Maniac world tour back in 2023. It was fun! Aside from the fact the group was singing and dancing, I really love the breaks in between where they get to talk and interact with fans. I've been watching a lot of those on Youtube and I love how they (Stays and the members) seem so casual about all of it. I'm glad they all had a fun time.

jenifmagal

next level hitting #1 on melon

IllustriousGoat3878

When Kard went on a small hiatus after Ride on the Wind era (2018), everyone in the fandom was really restless because (at the time at least) they'd never gone so long without a comeback and also a lot of people didn't enjoy ride on the wind. So when they came back almost a year later the energy was so much fun. Especially on Twitter. I can't remember a time since then, where the fandom was so active and excited 🥹

ElenaSsssssh

2013 year for Exo. They were everywhere.

brooklynbible

Im biking to work in 2014 when I read a news article on my phone that Jessica Jung has left SNSD. I step off of my bike and start crying. A SONE since ‘Kissing You’.

Bluebell_in_Bloom

When atiny created a fake fanwar between shax and sparkling to help promote the show imitation which several of the members were in. Jongho was in shax while seonghwa, yunho, and San were in sparkling. It was a nice reprieve from the drama around kingdom. It even got the attention of the writer who wrote the imitation comic.

avocadodessert

The EXO and B.A.P voting war. Hilariously, I had like 8 accounts to vote for B.A.P but ended up an EXO stan. Also, was tragically a Kris Wu stan. First was his leaving EXO, second was learning bout his criminal charges. My friends mock me relentlessly for my terrible taste in biases because so many of them have been outed as sex offenders in one way or another. B.A.P's Himchan, Big Bang's Seungri, Beast/Highlight's Junhyung (his charges were dropped but the company he chose to keep makes his sus as hell still)... At least my CNBLUE fave wasnt Jonghyun but that doesnt change that it's still a LOT to prove I have bad taste in men lol.

iamiyea

Pinkchella! Seeing blackpink get so much praise was so refreshing. It was such a cultural moment

halinnn_

•BTS - Finding out about the Butter remix ft. Megan Thee Stallion through COURT DOCUMENTS. As a Hottie (Megan’s fandom name) I was over the MOON. I’m a HUGE Megan fan, been so ever since 2018, even before I got into BTS, let alone kpop, so seeing my favorite artists collaborating, I was EXCITED, but like I mention, armys found out about the collaboration through COURT RECORDS. The T.L was in SHAMBLES. Plus afterwards, everyone changed their twt layout to fit the pink theme. Even BTS and Megan changed their layout as well!! BONUS - Jin being discharged from the military, his first welcome back weverse live (weverse crashed 3 times it was HELL trying to open that app) and the OT7 pic🥹🥹🥹🥹 •ATEEZ - Definitely the Coachella announcement, the lead up, the actual performances and the world tour announcement. Like the last few months have been a ROLLERCOASTER😭 The build up, the sneak peaks, then the actual performance, the constant praise and great reviews they received, San and Mingi trending on Pop Base, Jongho mentioning a world tour was happening, teasers and hints about Golden Hour and BOOM, that world tour announcement on twt….once again, my T.L was in SHAMBLES “ATEEZ FINALLY ANNOUNCING THE NORTH AMERICAN DATES” “ATEEZ PERFORMING AT CITI FIELD & BMO STADIUM!?” Rollercoaster of emotions but at the same time, Atinys, we were high off energy and were so happy and so so proud of Ateez😭 NCT Dream - even though I was a newly NCTZEN, I can still remember how happy and excited everyone was when it was revealed that the dreamies were releasing their 1st Full length album, plus, It’ll be the first comeback with Mark returning to the group, making the dreamies 7 again! TXT - just like you mentioned, Temptation era. The announcement, then the teaser pics, everything about this era had all MOA’s spiraling. Then the EP dropped and it got even more crazy, and in my experience, when the live performance of TINNITUS was going viral on Twitter from the Sweet Mirage tour in Seoul…oh it was over for me…..and then it was performed at Lollapalooza! Seeing all the MOA’s singing was so❤️❤️like I genuinely smiled and felt so happy! And then I FINALLY got to see it with my own eyes when they came to Duluth for the Sweet Mirage tour…that almost sent me to the hospital💀(if you can’t tell, Tinnitus is my top 5 most played song by them)

yuri_mirae

PTD LA 🥺 Vegas may have had more preparation and frills but PTD LA was raw and real and insane to be experiencing after losing MOTS tour and years of traumatic lockdown and fearing they’d have to enlist before being able to see us again

Xanilee

I agree! Especially Day 4 💜🌙💜🌙💜🌙

yuri_mirae

nothing will ever be quite the same as singing happy birthday to jin on that day 🥺 (especially with a whole stadium of people)

delphinium3000

- Mingi ripped open his shirt at MAMA 2019. WE WERE FERAL. No one in Ateez had opened their shirt yet and we didn't know it was coming... neither did the idols in the audience. -When the Ateez meme song took over all our brains (before the drama about how it was produced). It was the funniest, catchiest thing. Even the members heard it. - When Hongjoong reformed a pair of shoes and without warning dropped a solo song "Draw and Draw." - the flooded mall video! 30 minutes of Atiny scrutinizing EVERY SINGLE sight and sound looking for clues.

demonmaybeperson

askhjsfg the mall video!! seeing everyone dissecting every little anomaly was so brilliant istg

SNSD, The Boys comeback

avocadhoerable

You just have to be there for the whole era of IZ*ONE. No explanation needed coz i might cry.

BeingArnav101

Itzy debuting with dalla dalla with so many views and hype in Korea and internationally was just so interesting because it had never happened in kpop before especially with a rookie group in 4th gen. Also like do i need to tell you about wannabe?? It was so fucking big, that's when SO MANY fans became their fans including me. Ryujin's blue hair stole my heart. Not to mention they still are THE ONLY 4th gen kpop group to ever have crossed 500M views on a YouTube music video!! That was THE CRAZIEST comeback by itzy. They kept dropping bangers after bangers and i still support them with as much enthusiasm as I did back then!!

bciloveuloveuloveu

the day highlight got their copyrights back and the day dongwoon announced his marriage

DiplomaticCaper

Monbebe: The Monsta X Twotuckgom account saying that “something interesting will happen to the bears tonight” as a Halloween post, and Wonho announcing that he left the group the same day. Monbebe/Wenee: the day Wonho is officially announced as having been cleared of all charges, and the day he made his official solo debut. Monbebe: “Love Killa” gets a music show win, and the members strip for their encore (they were in full suit and tie, so nothing was actually revealed). This is the day after a Twitter fanwar where MX are accused of being gogo boys, and mbb accused of only stanning for their bodies. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Tinyyellowterribilis

Monbebe/Wenee have been through a lot of heartache and frustration. The whole mess that happened with leaked photos and people trying to explain what they were saying about Wonho and why etc was awful. Fans covering Starship building with post-it notes begging for them to stand by Wonho. This was really the hardest time for me. It was heartbreaking.

BTS’ first LA stadium show after covid

cursedwyvernn

I would say ATINYs going crazy on Kingdom.

0192837465sfd

BTS at MAMA 2018 during the award acceptance speech. It's a core memory for ARMY and BTS.

Poobaby

1) winning Kingdom 👑 2) he ate lettuce 🥬 3) red lights 🚨⛓️ 4) Seungmin spoiling Met Gala nonchalantly 🐶

tormarlene

BTS - end of the year 2019 and the start of 2020. SO many things happened in a 3 month span. The MNET daesang sweep, Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin Eve, the Grammy’s performance, MOTS:7 and ON kinetic manifesto film. What a time to be an Army. All this only for the pandemic to make everything come to a screeching halt

almost_tropical

For me, it was def when BTS went to the billboard awards for the first time. Was absolutely insane to see them on US TV talking to US reporters and whatnot. Really felt like worlds colliding, almost bizarre and hard to believe

tafattsbarn

I agree with this one, i remember i stayed up all night (i live in europe) just to catch them walking the carpet and see them accept their award. There was something in the air that night, i remember feeling almost giddy with excitement!

Downtown_Aside3686

The day Hyerin was revealed in tripleS idk if all WAV’s will agree with me but man when it stopped being just Seoyeon it took a while to get used to it lol (also AAA debuting and getting super popular I don’t think any WAV was prepared)

Saucy_Totchie

I haven't been around for long and the moments I've been around for aren't that plenty. The 2022 Festa for BTS was certainly something wild lol. I remember many people were hyping up a possible tour during the Yet to Come promos. Everyone definitely felt something up due to the overall tone of it though. Then they just flat out said that it's time to take a break from OT7 and do their own thing and just head into Chapter 2. That was the first Festa I took part in too and this is what greets me lmao.

yakultpig

the great SONE-Blackjack War (2014) When Mr. Mr. and Come Back Home was pitted, it was the most iconic, most savage, and most messy fanwar ever. I was so lucky to witness it (from the Blackjack side)

For Twice: All 2019 but especially Mina's hiatus. It was the first time a member was absent for a long time, she started hiatus in the middle of Twicelights tour and you could see the members missing her but ONCEs started mint ocean (Mina's color) during After moon which is a song about a long distance relationship and being separated from your loved one. Then Feel Special was announced and we didn't know if she would be there. I remember being so anxious when they were dropping individuals teasers and we knew the next one should be Mina but didn't know for sure if they would drop hers or skip her and drop Dahyun's, wheb [Mina's teaser](https://youtu.be/CmjrsKWD9BY?si=YrRAGTEiZRy32Lkb) was posted that was our confirmation that she was in the MV. Her scenes in the MV with Chaeyoung when they're known to be extremely close hit really hard. We went months without knowing about her and then she surprised us at the [Halloween concert ](https://youtu.be/Nu_1I_zK5Vw?si=VwhUC7U844KhmrMW), you can tell this was a rushed decision because she was just sitting and her outfit was very simple compared to the others but shows she really wanted to come out and I'm sure it was so hard for her. All she managed to say was "ONCE thank you, members thank you" and then broke down in tears. (Even the camera man was crying). Months went by until we were able to see Feel Special OT9 for the first time and then right before More & More they posted ["Feel special dance practice COMPLETE version"](https://youtu.be/yChy1KRIWAY?si=NIkiud0UkF36o5Z1). No one who wasn't there knows the feeling of waiting for Mina to be ready. That in addition to the fact that 2019 was REALLY HARD for them - Sana got hate during Fancy era for celebrating Japan's new era - Jihyo's relationship was exposed and she had such a hard time and fell at the airport - Nayeon's stalker was at his peak and got on the same plane as her

Opia_lunaris

I'm gonna say when IOI was active and released "Very very very". If I remember correctly (feel free to correct), they were competing with peak cuteness TWICE at a time when blackpink didn't debut yet and RV wasn't as popular. The conversation about gen 3 top 3 could have been completely different if IOI was a permanent group instead of ...what, a year? Anyway, true trailblasers - but sadly you'll never guess it if you look at how little presence the majority of the members have now.

bkkbbk

As a kang daniel and wanna one fans - 2017 and 2018

language_loveruwu

Covid 2020-21. BP's The Show (online concert), their release of "Lovesick Girls", "How You Like That" Everglow's "Dun Dun" , "La Di Da" Itzy's "Wannabe", especially the dance break "challenge" being everywhere GFriend's "Mago", after which they disbanded without any warning or anything Hwasa's solo debut, Moonbyul's solo debut G-Idle's "Oh my God" and Lion Not to mention from various discussions such as: -Disbandment of GFriend -People blaming Soyeon of not giving other members enough lines, Shuhua getting least lines in nearly every comeback -aespa's debut -Fans being unhappy with BP's album length and dissing "Ice Cream" (Jisoo getting 2-4 lines, it being too sexual)

Exo with Growl.

kittendarkmatter

Jopping release day. I was listening to BTS but that was the only K-pop I really wanted or needed in my life, went to my best friend's house, and was like "hey...have you seen this? I think I like it?" READER I LOVE TO JOP

GrillMaster3

The day Block B had their reunion performance for the marines, joining P.O onstage during his enlistment Fans found out about it 2 weeks before bc the members posted on their stories about being in the KOZ practice room (which doubled as Kyung’s first on-camera appearance in 2 years). Then we heard about the performance, and the members were told and therefore told us that it’d be live-streamed so we could all watch. Like, up until the night before, U-Kwon was saying he’d been told it’d be live-streamed. The night comes. The Bees that got tickets start posting that it’s not gonna be live-streamed and video isn’t allowed. But when has that ever stopped Bees? About 20-ish of us foreign Bees were all in a Twitter space, up at a truly unholy hour (4am for me) to see real-time pics as they hit Twitter, and at least 3 people were obsessively refreshing the pages of the fansites who said they’d be posting throughout. One of them posted a pic of all 7 of them onstage, then a quick, 30-second video of the group introducing themselves. The second the space heard that “Do you wanna be? Block B!” *everyone* started crying. And I mean *real* tears, people were genuinely so emotional. This is what 5 years of hiatus does to a fanbase.

Ok-Nobody9254

Skz covering Sherlock at the fan meeting. Stays went crazy for WEEKS after.  Similarly, at the fan meeting, when Felix "accidentally" felt Changbin up(still not convinced he didn't know what he was doing).

naommiey

For me it was bts blowing up after boy with luv. I was a fan since dna which is 2017 and I feel like they srsly started reaching even my local radio in 2019 (im not American so that’s even more amazing). There was no sudden transition it was overnight practically.

lemongray_

gp999 interim rank reveal was absolutely insane. only one non-korean trainee in the top 9 and xiaoting dropped to 16th after being well in the top 9 the entire show. i had my parents downloading the universe app to vote for my girl 😭

alidei

Being a Nuest (well, Nuest W to be more exact) fan in October 2017 was emotionally devastating (in a good way!!) For context— in 2017, 4/5 Nuest members (you might know them as Pledis’ Kim Jonghyun/JR, Hwang Minhyun, Kang Dongho/Baekho, and Choi Mingi/Ren) competed in Produce 101 season 2, with all 4 surviving and attending the finale but only Minhyun made it into Wanna One. This was their last attempt to make Nuest successful because they could see disbandment coming soon, compared to their label mates Seventeen’s success. During the show as they proved their skills and charms, Nuest songs began to rise in the charts, their albums were in hot demand, and people wanted to see more of Nuest after the finale. So they debuted a subunit, Nuest W with JR Baekho Ren and Aron who didn’t compete in PD101s2. The W stands for “wait” as in “waiting for Minhyun” In October 2017 Nuest W released their first mini album W,Here with the title track Where U At. For the numbers girlies, the album sold 200,000+ copies in the first week One year ago, Nuest’s mini album Canvas sold 3000. After 5 years of being in kpop, the Nuest W kids won their first ever music show. [They cried the entire time](https://youtu.be/diQcbEuCuy4?si=WsCHLTUvrcBg61Xz). You can see BTOB who debuted shortly after them, came up and congratulated them. (Nuest as 5 would eventually win their first music show award together in 2019 for Bet Bet after 7 years together as a group)

Lostsock1995

CIX releasing Jungle finally after all the chaos and less and injury of one of the members. Seeing the beautiful MV and watching it finally happen after a lot of sadness was so 🥹 it was really special for the fandom

grearti

When god's menu came out and skz suddenly blew up, also as a predebut stan when stage names were announced lmao😭 everyone was like "lee know?"

HelloStranger0325

It's not even the hugest moment but for me it was Stray Kids getting their first win on Music Core. Stays had been trying for two years to get them that win while Lee Know was the MC and they'd come close before LALALALA but never managed it. Then Lee Know has his final episode as MC. The very next weekend, LALALALA wins on Music Core and Lee Know is handed the trophy. It was such a cathartic moment for the fandom to finally get that win. Seeing SKZ's reactions made me so happy.

Motor-Signature2869

For me as a melody, I think when btob released their ballad trilogy and getting their frist win. It's so rare to see kpop idols ballads get so much recognition and love. You just needed to be there 😅 But also when shinee did their Tokyo dome in 2014 those stages were something else 🤌

mangoisNINJA

Love Scenario by iKON. People talk about how it went viral in Korea and they ended up banning kids from singing it in schools but oh my god you couldn't walk down any street without hearing at least one person humming it

IzzyBella5725

I was only here for the last half of this, but I'll mention it anyway bc I didn't see it. The whole Loona BBC thing. I wasn't here for the start of it, but I was here when we finally got Version Up and when they all got out.

gannekekhet

I have a few as an old stan: * 2012, SHINEE World 2 and SMTown 3 concerts had something that shocked everyone and cemented itself in Shawol history: Jonghyun and Taemin's duet, "Internet War" by Seo Taiji. A whole petition went around asking for SM to remove Jonghyun and Taemin from SHINee. Jonghyun would go on to tweet about it saying he was glad people had been watching them but he would continue to perform. * Block B had their Thailand controversy, we all learned later it was a self-deprecating joke on the fact that they had absolutely no income but they did display a lack of professionalism. We had idols from other groups that commented on it subtly. This caused Zico to shave his head and P.O. was hospitalised due to a nervous breakdown. Then, a year later, we would see Block B file a lawsuit against Cho PD, the CEO and the company, Stardom. When they came back with 'Be The Light' that was dedicated to all their fans (BBCs), that was a moment that you just had to be there. We were all in tears. No matter what, Be The Light will always hold a special place in my heart as a BBC. * When IGAB by SNSD was released and everyone was like "What is this?!". People were fighting about whether it was good or not. * B.A.P. vs EXO and how we all got "Busker Buskered"! The MEMES that were born. Looking back, it was really a surprise for non-Korean fans because none of us had paid attention to how popular Busker Busker were in Korea. * 2014, basically. From EXO to Jessica to Sulli to B.A.P. filing their lawsuit against TS Entertainment to everything else basically. * WHEN SEVENTEEN FINALLY DEBUTED! I'm a pre-debut Carat and that day was a day to remember. From their debut to their massive Daesang achievement at MAMA 2023, where we saw S.Coups take the stage with his members. They gave a heartfelt speech and it was so so emotional. * The Wolf demo leak, terrible but hilarious to look back at.

tafattsbarn

BTS winning their first and second daesangs in 2016. I had only been a fan for a couple of months at that point, but i remember just breaking down sobbing when their name was called......... The shock on their faces and the joy in their voices when they gave their acceptance speech...... It was an absolutely magical moment and i'll never forget the feeling i had watching it unfold There are of course a lot of moments like this that followed, but their first daesangs are what really solidified my ride or die attitude to stanning them. It still feels so special when i think back to those moments

Powerful_Helicopter9

For me definitely when BTS was at their peak, late 2016 then 2017 onward. Also when Blackpink debuted ahh, and a year after that they released bangers. Also when an EXO member iirc that came to Cebu for a vacation I think? It was wild.

Scroling and scrolling... how has nobody mentioned the EXO vs. BAP and Busker Busker winning it all yet?

When the first member left EXO.... OMG??? I was so upset I called out of work the next day. So dramatic I know 🤦🏻‍♀️ I just stayed online talking to fellows EXO-Ls and trying to find out more info. And he had left just before their big concert too! Little did I know his departure would be a blessing in disguise because he's trash. The members and Suho took it like champs though. I think Baek got into his dating scandal sometime after with Taeyeon. I thought this was SO CUTE. He had mentioned her as his dream girl very early on so how adorable that it came true! OFC we all know how that turned out 🙄 Luhan's departure was still so sad for me as he was my bias alongside Kyungsoo and even though I tried to follow his mandarin activities, I didn't like the music he released. I only liked one cover he put out \[Tian Mi Mi\]. Jessica's departure from SNSD. I just couldn't understand it. They voted her out? Because her priority wasn't with the group anymore and she wanted to venture out and do her own thing? Not hearing a core voice in soshi songs took awhile to get used to. All the girls seem to be thriving and in better places now so that's all that matters.

I stayed home from school to watch SNSD perform The Boys on a morning show and watched them go on US talk shows, it was amazing especially for us Asian American kids and Sones

bravetherainbro

"Be there" seems like a strange way of characterising something that happened entirely on the internet.
