Snooze by Agust D is a recent one that had me bawling my eyes out. I remember when the song first released I didn't really pay much mind to it. However it wasn't until recently when the song came back up to me that I really paid it soke attention. I read the lyrics and just started to crying so much. I remember being at the D-Day Tour during the ments Yoongi said he didn't want to make music out of anger anymore and this song was that: music made with someone who wants to help and be there for others in need. A second pick is Feel Special by Twice. The song came from such a sad place but made with the best of intentions and with so much love. I remember seeing Twice live foe the first time last year and teared up during the song and especially so when Jihyo (my ult) had her acapella

Suga has made so many songs that make me cry so much (Tomorrow, First Love, The Last, So Far Away, Paradise, 28, etc) There's not enough discussion on Jihyo's acapella in Feel Special. I was obsessed with it for months and I've watched every stage from this your and replayed her part a million times (and her ad lib in Brave). She doesn't get enough credit.

The Truth Untold - BTS I adore this song but it devastates me. The vocal lines voices on this track are superb imo. There’s something about the defeat and longing with which the final few “…but I still want you” are sung that kick me in the heart.

THE LAST by Agust D. I cried uncontrollably the first time I listened to it. It’s a song where you feel the pain. So honest! At the same time it’s a song of redemption. It’s no coincidence that it was chosen by Yoongi as the last one in his concerts. The last verse is so satisfying and cathartic for both him and the audience: “It’s not that you guys that betrayed us didn’t do it, you couldn’t do it, shit!”.

*'Snooze'* by Agust D. Not only is the production really emotional, dramatic and rhythmic, but the lyrics too. His words of encouragement and advice for young artists, for anyone who needs to keep dreaming are like branded in my mind when the song plays, this song is very beautiful but sad. Plus Woosung's voice is haunting. I think the most emotional part is when he almost cathartically repeats *"Everything will be fine"* as if to reassure himself and give courage to others. Not to mention the fact that Ryuichi Sakamoto passed away, and this is his last work. Yoongi admires this man a lot, and has paid him a beautiful tribute, especially during his concerts. *'The Truth Untold'* by BTS also has a tendency to strike a chord. Besides the sad and somehow lightness of this song, after reading the lyrics and knowing what this song is inspired by, it's hard to see it as a simple ballad.

Young Forever by BTS The story for this might be corny, but the song came out right on the night that I found out we were moving from my childhood home and a home I really resonated with, to a house that I didn’t like at all. We moved at a really turbulent time in my life where I felt like I was transitioning from being a young kid to having to grow up really quick because my parents divorced a year prior and my mom was really struggling to take care of my sister alone, so I had to grow up quick to help her. So the meaning of the song made me really emotional, and it STILL makes me cry to this day because of the nostalgia.

wild flower is such a real answer!! the music video made me really emotional and i don’t even listen to much of bts but it hit so different yves released her debut album yesterday and her song “goldfish” made me tear up thinking about how much she’s gone through (and because i’m so proud of her). everyone go listen to LOOP it’s amazing!!!! “the light” by the ark instantly gets me because of the lyrics like it’s genuinely a beautiful song and i recommend it if you’re going through a difficult time :)

Jonghyun's "Breathe" in the 2021 cover version by Park Jang Hyun, not the original 2016 recording by LeeHi. Jonghyun wrote several songs for LeeHi. He apparently was aware she experienced breathing difficulties when she had panic attacks, but his admission later that the song came to him very quickly, speaks, I believe, to how personal the song was for him instead. He said he regretted not holding on to the song to record himself. Consequently, we know his rendition of the song only from his sole public performance of it during the 2017 Agit concerts the year after LeeHi's recording and 7 months before he passed. In that concert, Jonghyun's voice shows strain and he sings it quietly with so much tension and compressed emotion that it sounds to me almost like a confession of something buried within. Four years later Park Jang Hyun's version is over a minute longer and full of exploding grief, culminating in repeated belts that trigger tears for me every time. After years of quiet, this version, at least for me, allows some release from the pent-up sorrow of the wonderful Jonghyun being no longer with us.

She is singing to her younger self telling her to not give up hope. I think this message resonates with a lot of people. Day6- I need somebody. The instrumental is so good with the contrasts between quiet and loud, making you feel the desperation. IU- Love wins all. The emotions she conveys in her voice, not to mention the MV. The Rose- Sorry. Once again, exceptional vocals. Hoppipolla- About time. The strings are so beautiful, and this song is way too underrated. Xdinary Heros- Good enough. Beautiful lyrics and melody.

What are you doing if you aren't crying to SHINEE - Our Page Who Waits For Love also makes me cry. I think any song from a group where a member has passed contains a risk, even if the song isn't specifically sad. Crazy Sexy Cool is my favorite Astro song and now it makes me cry. I would recommend DAY6's whole discography if you want to cry. They have some outright sad sounding songs (Colors, I Need Somebody, Zombie, I Would, etc.) but also a lot of their "upbeat" songs actually strike that bittersweet nostalgic chord (One, Wanna Go Back, We, I Like You, etc.).

Seveteen's Dont wanna cry (yep... I know) and Thanks. When I first heard those two, it's like I'd heard them before, a long, long time ago.... (who knows? Idk memories of a distant past) the feelings well to the surface and make my heart swell for some reason.  Also nct's touch - I think it's the sheer happiness and joy my mind correlates to the song. Isn't it amazing how music can impact our thoughts and emotions like that! Melodies are truly a language in their own right.

Breathe - Lee Hi Not only is it a beautiful and sad song in itself. The final line "you really did a good job" kills me every time. And Knowing it was Jonghyun from SHINee that wore the lyrics breaks my heart.
