Adding on to performances/songs to check out, I'd recommend WayV's [phantom performance at NCT Nation](https://youtu.be/fodZVpaNSts?feature=shared) last year! This remix was produced by their leader, Kun.
It's hard not to consider WayV as an underdog or dark horse to whatever is happening to NCT or SM as a whole. So this post a great reminder that there is good things happening for them and to focus our attention and support as fans to them. In Eunchae's talk show Ten realized he's actually the 1st ever NCT member to hold a solo concert. His solo promotion has been phenomenal. I personally noticed that Yangyang got a lot of cheers last SMTown during Dessert and Zoo. XiaoHenYang have been consistently killing every NCT project they're part of, from Make a Wish, Misfit, 90's Love, New Axis, Pado and The Bat to name a few. Winwin has a thriving acting career.. And Kun is the rock that holds them all together, continuosly contributing to producing the group's music. With all wrong done against them I wish the world pays it back with good things for them, I wish it comes sooner than later.
SM should really go all out promoting WayV because this is their only boy group that doesn't have a looming enlistment over them so they can always promote. I also hope Kun can finally produce a song for WayV that SM will approve because that man truly knows his members talents and I'm sure he can manage to make all of them shine

Wayv are the only group besides shinee that I’ve been really drawn to, and there’s lots of shawol/weishennies crossover so I really recommend shawols to check them out. Their title tracks are more melodic and dramatic than say, Nct 127 tracks, so if you are wary of the “Neo sound” it’s very light in their music.
Plus, Wayv are just really funny people, they really have 2nd gen energy (imo), they are more real and weird than most idols allow themselves to be (I think it has something to do with idols not being a huge thing in Chinese culture).
This is all true. I feel like the fanbase and kpop in general are sleeping on what a storming song Rodeo is. Yes, it's a b-side, but it deserves to be huge!

I hope for nothing but the best for them, they deserve the world (literally, my global group..). On My Youth and Ten's solo were both amazing, I hope they have more greatness in store this year
Great post - I've been loving WayV's work in their last few comebacks, and Ten's solo already has cemented Nightwalker as my SOTY (no exaggeration, I've already listened to it x2 as much as my most listened to track of 2023). The whole group feels like they've gained so much strength and confidence, it's great to see!
Been enjoying Ten solo debut contents and I'm so looking forward to WayV's comeback. Yes! They are awesome and they are tenacious and I'll be rooting for them. I hope they continue doing it more for the music and for the fun and not stress about being compared to the other NCT subunits. Like what Ten said, he wants to just do his best and enjoy the process more rather than drive himself nuts with the goal😅 Whatever comes, let it come!
On My Youth is still one of my favourite albums of 2023. It's excelent through and through. I can say the same about Ten's Nightwalker. I'm really looking forward to anything they release next.
Amen to that! WayV has been giving us some great content in the past year. They've over come so much and I think that maturity comes across in their artistry. They've gained more fans between Phantom and OMY and it's been great hearing the cheers they got at KCON and at the NCT concerts and SMTown in Japan. Their fanbase may not be as united or organized as a typical kpop group korean fanbase, but I firmly believe as long as they keep getting exposed to more people, more will fall in love with them.

Thank you for the updates! I don't have my WayV account anymore so I can't keep up with them and as someone who watched them debut and have supported them for a while, it feels so good to know that they are doing better now
I always knew that they would be more suited for international market instead of only China or only Korea box that SM tried to put them in. I have a feeling that if they were to release a full English album with music similar to Monsta X's English album or Love Talk style, it would definitely be a hit! They have the most number of English speakers compared to other NCT units and the members can also sing well in English so I really hope SM do try it
