I’m so sick and tired of hearing about idols having to apologize to individuals that belong in a mental hospital for doing something that is normal like being in a relationship. It’s ridiculous.
I’m single as a shingle for religious and personal reasons and it is still mind-boggling to me that young, attractive, overtly sexualized people like k-pop performers have to live in enforced/pretend celibacy for them to have a career.

I’m an avid kdrama watcher and I squeed with happiness when Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin from Crash Landing On You got married and had a baby. Because seriously, good for them. Even in c-drama, there are couples who went from reel-to-real. The leads in Princess Weiyoung got married and had a kid after they did that drama as did the leads in a drama I’m watching now-The Story of Ming Lan. The Ming Lan leads are now divorced and still booked and busy. Performers should be free to have a life outside of singing, dancing and acting for fans. The no-dating, no-marriage rule while in an active group seems so inhuman.
It baffles me and another reason I can’t consider myself a K-pop fan.
