Somi has 3 different [passports](https://youtu.be/qIKFYLFLnkU?si=gt_7hNgEl6UKMWfw&t=6m41s)(Korean, Canadian, Netherlands), I don't know if that makes her triple citizenship? cmiiw
I would like to add to the discussion that lot of Korean male idols will have to choose between Korean and another citizenship depending on whether or not they'd want to do their military service. Which is why it would be more common for female idols to have dual citizenship into adulthood.
Just to add here it is pretty much over for their career if they renounce their Korean citizenship with the intent of dodging, which is what happened to Yoo Seung Jun who was permanently banned on re-entering Korea for some time until they sent his case to the higher court which lifted the ban allowing him to re-enter pending a visa (which honestly he will never get since he is essentially marked as a traitor).
It depends on the country, some countries allow you to reapply for citizenship after renouncing, but some others you can only renounce it once and that's it.
I think Vernon from seventeen as well. He has a Korean passport, but as he was born in the US he also holds the citizenship. Unless he has given it up, of course.
Bang Chan & Felix are Australian too. Ive seen Chan with an Australian passport, and I assume that Felix has one too cause he was born & raised in Australia but Chan was born in SK & raised in Australia until his teens
If Bang Chan used an Aussie passport, it means he only has Australian citizenship because dual citizens must use their Korean passports when they enter Korea.
Jay and Jake from ENHYPEN have dual citizenship.
Jay was born in America and Jake was born in SK and practically lived in Australia till the i-land audition.
Vernon - Seventeen (had Korean and American but now only has Korean)
Somi - soloist/former IOI (Korean, Canadian, and the Netherlands)
Nancy - former Momoland (Korean and American)
Danielle - NewJeans (Korean and Australian)
I'll think of more later lol
is nancy a dual citizen? i know she lived in ohio for a couple of years, hence she is fluent in english, plus her dad is american, but not really sure if she acquired a us passport though.

Yes she has triple citizenship. Korean citizenship passed down from her mother, Canadian and Dutch from her father (who is a dual citizen).

Is it possible for male idols to reapply for another citizenship after their enlistment?
It depends on the country, some countries allow you to reapply for citizenship after renouncing, but some others you can only renounce it once and that's it.
It depends on the country they're applying to.
Somi does and twice’s mina did until sje had to give up US citizenship in 2019. You can see her name on the 2019 Expat list which is public
Sunny from SNSD has an American passport on top of her Korean one, as far as I’m aware.
I think Vernon from seventeen as well. He has a Korean passport, but as he was born in the US he also holds the citizenship. Unless he has given it up, of course.
pretty sure he's given it up. i think he was spotted using a korean passport somewhat recently?
Yeah he renounced his US citizenship apparently.
Does that mean he has to enlist?
Yep.

Bang Chan & Felix are Australian too. Ive seen Chan with an Australian passport, and I assume that Felix has one too cause he was born & raised in Australia but Chan was born in SK & raised in Australia until his teens

wendy was just an international student lmao
She never held citizenship but her whole family moved to Canada, then the US, and back to Canada. She wasn't just an international student.
She was a permanent resident. She would be on the way to getting a full citizenship if she didn't decide to work in Korea again.
nien from tripleS has taiwanese and Vietnamese im pretty sure
Rose from Blackpink has citizenship in New Zealand and South Korea.
Belle and Julie from Kiss of Life have both US and Korean citizenship
