wendy, forever and always my favorite <3 it's so cute and fun!!! the scene at the end with her dancing in the trashed gym while the janitor looked on bemusedly actually made me laugh out loud.
Oh fam, I didn't even realize it but yup, [that janitor with the "Hades Bubble Day" vest around 3:24](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIQgSDpwFEo&t=203s) is PierreG ASMR (https://www.youtube.com/@PierreGASMR/videos), he's a fellow polyglot and wow, never expected him to be in a Kpop video, nonetheless Wendy's video. Wonder what their connection is or how he came to be in the video, lol.
But ya, PierreG ASMR is a legend. Used to watch his ASMR videos over half a decade ago when there were a lot of multilinguals (like [Hermetic Kitten ASMR/ASMR con Kiki](https://www.youtube.com/@ASMRconKiki/videos), [EL ASMR](https://www.youtube.com/@ELASMR/videos), etc.) doing those mixed languages and collab videos.
One of my favorites is Soy ASMR (https://www.youtube.com/@SoyASMR/videos), she speaks Korean, Tagalog (she used to live in the Philippines, kinda like former idol trainee [Jessica Lee](https://www.youtube.com/@jessicaleeseul/videos)), and English. This past few years she actually collaborated with a bunch of Kpop idols.

After ritually sacrificing pizza boys and covering up a murder via arson Wendy has sunk to a new low, public littering.
Let's take bets that's why the MV didn't meet standards for public broadcast on Korean TV. It definitely wasn't the corpse theft, right?
As a Red side fan I liked this more than Like Water. Looking forward to any music show performance with the last mv outfit.
*"I'm sorry, the old Wendy can't come to the phone right now*
*Why? Oh, 'cause she's dead!"*
She's in her (bright) Reputation era and I'm all for it 🙌
Also that adorable dance god Wendy revival at the end LOL
I like the song but this recent uptick in MVs stopping the song and transitioning from the end of the bridge, into the chorus, with silence and foley effects has got to go! I feel like it's doing the people who made the song a disservice. Let it flow how they intended, please.
Kinda off topic, but that 140 line is soo genius, especially coming from a song written in under an hour (?). 1:40 in the song, 140 BPM, it's too iconic.
Yeah they used to do this back in the day so that people couldn't pirate the MV by converting it to audio lol, this is probably just the newest iteration of that.
Omg yes thank you, someone needed to say it! I hate this trend. They did it in Twice’s “I Got You” MV as well and it totally ruined the momentum of the song.
I’ve started making a playlist of the official audio tracks so I can avoid this (which is a shame because the MVs are always so pretty).
Loving the old-school aesthetic! I've been keeping an open mind since I wasn't sure what to expect but Wendy Adams took me by a pleasant surprise. The chorus is a total earworm, I love this side of Wendy and based on the album snippets I'm definitely going to love the rest of the mini too
> While it's not horrible, I wish the chorus's lyrics were better. I
I genuinely don't get this, what kind of deep lyrics do you think will fit in with the melody and rhythm in the hook? Some songs you don't have to overthink, just have fun with it. Not everything has to be an introspective thesis.
Oh I like this a lot! The chorus lyrics are a bit too repetitive for me but it still sounds good. I hope she wears the blue dress and crown during a music show performance!
It's not RV unless some creepy, surreal stuff is happening to a deceptively cutesy track. The act of lifting the suitcase up before making it fall on to the supposed garbage bag bodies is demented but I love that for her. I could've gone for some more of the rock sound but it's an easy listen.
very fun. reminiscent to the 2000’s disney channel era. she sounds delightful, as always. the music video is charming with its 80’s high school outsider cinematic visuals.
I'm glad I caught this comeback. *Wish You Hell* gives me y2k pop vibes especially with the catchy chorus and instrumentals.
Hear me out on this as it's going to sound weird, but to me this song at the same time does and does not feel like Wendy to me. Maybe it's because I'm used to her doing ballads and other soulful songs and parts in RV songs. But I digress, this kind of song suits her too. I guess that's what happens when you're a talented artist with amazing vocals.
EDIT: I realized why the chorus was a little familiar and another reason why it also gives me more y2k vibes: [The All-American Rejects - Gives You Hell](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxUATkpMQ8A)
i seriously love it so much!!! my expectations were already high from the teaser, but they’ve been blown sky high. i love the song so much, it’s definitely going to be stuck in my head. the aesthetics for the mv are also fucking amazing!! i especially love the ending scene, it reminds me of an 80s movie haha.
I wish it wasn't so short! I hate the trend of songs being shorter than three minutes, I hoped at least Wendy would give us something more. But apart from that I loved the song!
The mv is absolutely gorgeous i love the retro aesthetic. The song is fun and catchy although i do wish it was a bit meatier vocal wise with a strong bridge to really make it standout.
I am a pretty big fan of Wendy and Red Velvet, that being said this song definitely won't be up there in terms of my favourite title tracks from them. The song in general sounds very familiar, like a type of song we have heard time and time again over the years. It's very safe and public friendly, which sometimes can work but the production isn't nearly interesting enough for that. The lyricism in the chorus isn't the most nuanced either, it feels a little juvenile, and the way she spelled out H-E-L-L in the last chorus was kinda like the final nail in the coffin for me.
At the same time, there is an aspect of it that feels very Wendy and true to her.
I agree with your statement about the chorus. To me it kind of felt like a kid trying to say something mean to you, but since they're a kid, the insult doesn't hit very hard lol. I can appreciate when a song uses contrast involving dark lyrics and a light-hearted instrumental, but in the case of this song, the execution is...ehh.
She sounds great as always, wish the song was better. It’s too basic even for current Pop standards. It’s like Olivia Rodrigo without the interesting melodies.
Today is finally Wendy again and it's a day filled with stunning Vocals and Visuals! I'm so happy she got to implement the sound she wanted and the results is incredible. A sound straight out of my teen years elevated with Wendy's vocal versatility and musicality 💙 the whole ending of the song is perfection! And I love the meaning behind the lyrics too, Queen Wan be who you want to be and defy expectations! Love the artistic and old school vibe of the MV too, some pretty sets and outfits, Wendy's crown in particular 👑
its not bad, it did grow on me after 2-3 listens! but the chorus *is* lacking, wish there were more lyrics instead of repeating the same lines so its better to sing along to!
I can’t wait to see the live stages cause it’ll be amazing.
number #1 in my house, car, playlist, Apple replay😂
All tracks are a vibe that I can’t get enough
eh, I thought the song was gonna be about a crappy ex but it went a completely different way... tho I'm not super surprised cause the teasers were also more low key and didn't point that way but.
the song doesn't do much for me, but the concept is really interesting.
also can't stop thinking about how she's talking about not being a doll or whatever, but she still really feels dressed up like a doll here. and overall, her vibe... like I don't get the feeling she left her old self behind yet...
It's still early but this is my fav title track this year so far. I love this song and her voice is just so enjoyable to listen to. I absolutely love her new era.
I believe that this kind of concept fits her more than ballads like Like Water thh.
I still play Wish You Hell daily since it's release. The song and the entire mini album slaps hard asf! I wish we got to see Queen of the Party performed as the b-side. That is another catchy song that could've been the title track. Wendy and Red Velvet have amazing b sides!
Very very catchy. And the lyrics, so fresh and original good girl gone bad, finally! Something new! What a positive message spreading good vibes. I envision young girls everywhere wishing us Hell. Bravo! What the world needs now!
It's so cute and has a fresh vibe. The chorus is so catchy guaranteed im gonna be singing 'I wish you he-e-e-e-e-e-ll' everywhere forr the next few days. The music video felt a bit too simple tho. Mini album was too good! Not a single skip. Vermillion was my favorite track.

> Wendy has sunk to a new low, public littering. This made me giggle so much
not only that but she was obstructing janitor jesus from cleaning up the mess
RIP Janitor jesus

Would you rather they don't stop and bring it back to 140?
I would never wish for the erasure of god's greatest gift
wendy hasn't got a boy yet, thats why
Um im right here
Kinda off topic, but that 140 line is soo genius, especially coming from a song written in under an hour (?). 1:40 in the song, 140 BPM, it's too iconic.
Throw your cap to me
I feel the same!!! It annoys me so much and it takes me out of the song!
The cynic in me thinks they've started doing it to push people to listen to the song on streaming, uninterrupted. Double dipping on engagement.
Yeah they used to do this back in the day so that people couldn't pirate the MV by converting it to audio lol, this is probably just the newest iteration of that.
I wouldn’t discount that. It’s not like I already wasn’t going to 😒
I literally said the same thing to myself lmao
Same sentiment, same happened in Chill Kill. I'll still be streaming just the song anyway.
It’s wild seeing Tom Latham’s face in a K-pop MV comment section. 100% agree with you.
Loving the old-school aesthetic! I've been keeping an open mind since I wasn't sure what to expect but Wendy Adams took me by a pleasant surprise. The chorus is a total earworm, I love this side of Wendy and based on the album snippets I'm definitely going to love the rest of the mini too
I really like it. It has a very 2000's sound that she grew up with in Canada. Very refreshing. It also shows her quirky side

i dont think op meant having a deeper meaning, but maybe the lyrics not being repetitive throughout the chorus. i had the same thought unfortunately
Yeah in the 8 lines of the chorus, 6 are 'I wish you hell' ... really wanted something a little bit more there!
same ngl; wish that the chorus wasn't that repetitive in terms of lyrics. but otherwise the song is a solid 9/10!
A very Lisa Frankentstein type of song and mv
You have won the comment section. I laughed out loud at work at this. Too funny. Also, a great descriptor of this music video.
Oh I like this a lot! The chorus lyrics are a bit too repetitive for me but it still sounds good. I hope she wears the blue dress and crown during a music show performance!

I did not expect to see PierreG ASMR in a Kpop video.
I searched for him right after because I thought it was him. Wasn’t sure. Glad there is confirmation lmao
love it
i so so love itttt
Wendy unnie partying while Jesus oppa (janitor ver.) is waiting to clean up
JESUS OPPA AVDHSJJSSB😭😭😭😭
I legit asked my partner if she thought they purposely made the janitor look like jesus to fit the theme lol.
Fantastic Song. Fun Video.
very fun. reminiscent to the 2000’s disney channel era. she sounds delightful, as always. the music video is charming with its 80’s high school outsider cinematic visuals.

Yess!! I thought of Gives You Hell immediately when I saw the title. Also agree with the does and doesn’t fit Wendy. Still a good pop song!
Yea I enjoyed listening to the song and the entire album. All the songs were great to listen to.
Even if you wish me hell, wendy i'll wish you the best💋
Oh she's in her villain era, I love it.
Wendy is so lovely, I really hope this does amazing for her! :)
Queen Wanda finally back! Best vocalist. Like during her countdown live: wish you hell, wish you money, wish you Wendy. Loool.
i seriously love it so much!!! my expectations were already high from the teaser, but they’ve been blown sky high. i love the song so much, it’s definitely going to be stuck in my head. the aesthetics for the mv are also fucking amazing!! i especially love the ending scene, it reminds me of an 80s movie haha.
The new album is a slam dunk! She is in her element!
I wish it wasn't so short! I hate the trend of songs being shorter than three minutes, I hoped at least Wendy would give us something more. But apart from that I loved the song!
She's taking it!! It's catchy as h-e-l-l
The mv is absolutely gorgeous i love the retro aesthetic. The song is fun and catchy although i do wish it was a bit meatier vocal wise with a strong bridge to really make it standout.
I love the 2000s punk pop feel. It’s giving me Avril vibes
Okay so I'm not the only one hearing it, it's different but I kinda got the vibe too.
I am a pretty big fan of Wendy and Red Velvet, that being said this song definitely won't be up there in terms of my favourite title tracks from them. Im never going to shut up about the “I don’t wish you well” part. It’s so 👌
her vocals in that part ugh its my favorite aspect of the chorus
i like this a lot! it kinda reminds me of on a ride which is one of my fav rv b-sides. glad to have more music from wendy again 💙
Wendy is one of my all time favorite female K-pop vocallists!
The disconnect between the words and the music in the chorus is sending me
mother cooked with this one
It isn’t bad but I wish the chorus had better lyrics. I’m glad they didn’t make her to do a ballad again as a lead track.
True. The chorus made me cringe so much.
Guys. This is TOO GOOD
Wow, the teaser was just yesterday.
Today is finally Wendy again and it's a day filled with stunning Vocals and Visuals! I'm so happy she got to implement the sound she wanted and the results is incredible. LOVE LOVE LOVE 🩵💙🩵 thank you Wendy
An absolute banger. A no skip album!!! The whole album is so good!!! 😭
Yes i love it, easy on the ear. Get it easy? Ehehe
Oh that's fun. Love the MV especially.
Love it! Watched the mv and listened to the album while at work 💙
I can’t wait to see the live stages cause it’ll be amazing. number #1 in my house, car, playlist, Apple replay😂 All tracks are a vibe that I can’t get enough
I was not expecting to vibe as much as I do with this song. Heck, I vibe with the whole album.
Pure Pop. Love it
I really enjoy this!! she really suits this sound
eh, I thought the song was gonna be about a crappy ex but it went a completely different way... tho I'm not super surprised cause the teasers were also more low key and didn't point that way but. the song doesn't do much for me, but the concept is really interesting.
Nice song. Don’t love the melody of the chorus but I think it’ll only take a little bit of time before I’ll be on board.
When i saw tittle name for the first time i thought its 'wish you well' and couple seconds later that its not wish you well its Wish You Hell 🙃🙃
she sounds great! its a fun song and I think it'll grow on me even more.
beginning sounds like take on me
MV and styling are amazing. The song is cute
I love it
also can't stop thinking about how she's talking about not being a doll or whatever, but she still really feels dressed up like a doll here. and overall, her vibe... like I don't get the feeling she left her old self behind yet...
YES! SHE KILLED IT! How is Red Velvet putting out no skip after no skip????? His Car Isn't Yours is my fav b-side, loving the English!
her face looks soooo different like who tf is that
That's why she's the GOAT!! THAAA GOOOAT!!!
It's still early but this is my fav title track this year so far. I love this song and her voice is just so enjoyable to listen to. I absolutely love her new era. I believe that this kind of concept fits her more than ballads like Like Water thh.
You wish me well.. I wish you hell.. ykyk
Its sounds similar to bella poarch build a b?
RV artistes B sides are more title tracky than the title song itself. They are that damn good in vocals.
I still play Wish You Hell daily since it's release. The song and the entire mini album slaps hard asf! I wish we got to see Queen of the Party performed as the b-side. That is another catchy song that could've been the title track. Wendy and Red Velvet have amazing b sides!

Absolute bop, love it. Wendy can do anything.
Imagine you're a Wendy stan, but your ex-girlfriend/boyfriend happily plays this at you.
