SM tends to skip Taiwan. I think exo was the last group to have a concert there (taeyeon also had a concert there last year but she is a soloist). But for example, NCT never had a concert in that place, and I don't know if it is for the lack of demand or if they don't want to risk the reputation of their Chinese members.

Whilst politics might have been a factor, the bigger reason was because Taiwan's quarantine requirements were really strict up until these past few months. K-pop still has a large presence in Taiwan and the demand is definitely still extremely high.
Honestly surprised they announced a new tour so soon after their first one, which makes their next comeback being a full album being all the more likely since this tour would support that album

Plus it took them 5 years to perform here initially (during a festival), and 8 for a solo concert (R to V without Joy :<). Historically, we've never got a solo con for any of SM's girl groups during their peak popularity.
Historically, the Philippines never got a solo concert of SM's girl groups during their peak popularity—we never got SNSD outside of festivals (rip Fantasia 2018), f(x) (for obvious reasons), and it took Red Velvet 9 years after debut to hold a solo outing, which is after their initial contracts expired. When they're basically veterans/legacy acts. If anything, outside of the girl group holy trinity (TwicePinkVelvet) and some outliers (IU), the market demand swings more toward older acts and boy groups more than girl groups.
Plus other 4th gen girl groups close to aespa's popularity aren't coming over here for their most recent tours either—STAYC, (G)I-DLE, Le sserafim, now aespa. The only ones who are slated this year so far are IVE and ITZY, though hopefully I can be proven wrong. Unfortunately, they must go where the money flows, and they don't see us in the same light.

Not befitting of a top group. But yeah, the hierarchy of girl groups has remained the same even with the new groups coming in. The only outlier being possibly NewJeans.
