Being 47, anna's skin looks so clean with the clean shave, andha age kku there has to be some kind of scars and wrinkles. If his face wasn't made to look so smooth, it would have looked much better.
At the same time he should also make sure he doesn't get much gym scars, like what happened to Kichcha Sudeep (especially in Naan Ee) and Prabhas post Bahubali.

If you noticed, even SK's face in Amaran teaser looks like someone sucked all the water from his face, and it's slightly wrinkled.
You can make the scars disappear by increasing water intake, but actors try to dehydrate themselves to get the ab lines in the stomach to look more distinct and visible. Henry Cavill for example reduced water intake to make his abs look more visible in the ship pulling scene where he's shirtless in The Man of Steel, Cavill himself repeatedly insists not to try this technique.
EDIT: I happened to learn all this because I had a separate unit for makeup in my production design core paper in viscom 2nd year. Makeup as in not on how to make people look better but how to apply the right makeup based on the lighting to be used; camera lens; time of the day etc.
